Don't worry about this loss of rewards, they'll make it up in other places. Yeah right LMFAO3

I'm becoming more and more convinced they made this as confusing and complicated as possible so no one really knows what they should or shouldn't be expecting for rewards. Makes it that much easier for mistakes to be missed.If only some clever MPQ player had been warning about this exact issue long before the update went live. . .5 -
In this current form this is an outrage. There is no reason to penalize people for having higher level rosters.

So where you *should* have shards to buy covers, you will get about 20% of the amount you thought you'd get. Not sure why they opted for this, just seems inconsistent and unfair on people who have played the game longer.
On the other hand, keeping it the old way is unfair to the lower rosters. As they wouldn't benefit from the "double dipping" of getting LT rewards and the retroactively getting cover rewards for the same level once a new feeder is created.
We didn't ask for the change, this was something decided and implemented, yet we lose out. The fair way to do this would be to make the changes (and the change is the shard resource) available for its placement in progression rewards for those who have supported the game (in playtime and expense) to keep it going.
Now we have lost out on a resource we can't get back because progression has passed.5 -

this update favors lower rosters. no doubt about it. But were any of us hooting and hollering when the updates were favoring the bigger rosters?
I'm disappointed too that I didn't get all that I was expecting. But I'm also not naïve or arrogant enough to not realize that the feeder introductions used to heavily favor those of us with bigger rosters and the lower rosters ultimately were not receiving the equal rewards. The pendulum swings both ways, we just happen to be on the wrong side of it this time. So for everyone to be crying about NOT FAIR is silly and hypocritical.

Overall shard haul is waaaaayyyy lower than expected. I got some shards for some 5* characters, both new feeders and old, but no shards for other 5* characters? Why? Who knows? (Only the Shadow knows)
Got a few 4* shards, but not many. Same with 3* shards.

No, this change favors demi/d3. Vets lose out on covers they would have had (under the old feeder system) and everyone loses out on CP/HP they will need to make up for the LT rewards that have been removed.The more different player factions fight against each other, the eaiser it is for demi to let this system stand as-is. Which is bad for everyone.8 -
Are there whales with 4 max champed 4* or at least 3 max champed 4* with half way champed 4*? The maximum number of shards that can be saved is 9999, so a whales with 4 or at least 3.5 champed 4* of the same character will probably down the server?0

This was confusing and needlessly disappointing (if they would have just spelled it out more clearly earlier). I think the key words were "TLDR, if you would have missed Shards towards a cover but *haven’t yet received that cover in full*, you’ll get those Shards."
In other words, since shards only pay off when completed, they were giving them retroactively so that anyone who were relying on those shards to get to the next cover, would have the full set. What that means, is that if you already have the next cover in the set, you don't need what the shards would have provided, you didn't miss out on anything, so you don't get that extra, and so on.0 -
Probably too big of a update and this was just phase one0

Man, I just read this, I open the Game, and I got like five 5s covers!
Now that I am starting to look at it though, I think I got waaaaaay less shards that I should have. For rescue I should have got 1500 shards and I just got 300 !!!
PS: Of course, I need just one more cover for Doom and I got the one color I already have at 5...0 -
Well a least there was a developer on Discord adding fuel to the fire.....comment went something like this...."So why is everyone complaining about what amounts to free stuff". Really don't think that's the way it should be handled lol

My experience and examples:
Shards normally given out at 295 (100), 298 (150), and 300 (250)
Old Feeders:
<280: Nothing (Example: Spiderman IW[277] -> 0 anything Spiderman BIB)
>280, <=294: Nothing (Example: Shuri[285]-> 0 Okoye)
>294, <=297: 100 shards (Example: Medusa[297]->100 BB shards)
>297, <=299: 250 shards (Example: X-Force[298]->250 OML shards)
>300, <=314: Nothing (Example: Gamora[302] -> 0 Thanos anything)
New Feeders (Emma>Kitty, Cyclops>Cable, InvisWoman>Doom, Magik>Hela, Cho>Hulk, HB>Rescue, Thor>Storm, Iceman>Iceman, Rogue>Gambit, Nightcrawler>Archangel, ProfX>ProfX)
<280: Nothing (Example: Emma Frost[271]->0 Kitty rewards)
>280, <=294: 1 Cover (Example: Professor X[294]->1 cover, 0 shards)
>294, <=297: 1 Cover, no example
>297, <=299: 1 Cover, no example
>300, <=314: 1 Cover, 100 Shards (Example: Hulkbuster[302]->1 cover, 100 shards)
I find it most frustrating that my 298 X-Force is 150 shards closer to an OML cover than my 302 Hulkbuster is to a rescue cover

I find that comment weird. I interpret it as why are players arguing about what is considered free stuff. What's the context?0

Secondary characters aside Magik, Valkyrie and Nightcrawler were all made new PRIMARY rewards. But nothing came for them
