I'm still quite new to this game, but why would you ever spend HP on something other than roster space (or maybe a shield) ?

If you've been playing for a while, you start to get to a point where you have a ton of HP just through playing: I'm currently at 4k HP for instance, and so can afford to buy a hard to find cover that would make a new character significantly better (although what I'm actually going to do is buy more roster spaces so that I can have more tank characters).
  • So tempting to buy both lone star hero packs just for the ISO. There is 9.6k worth of ISO in there if you sell all the covers. Discounted you can get both for 800 HP, which would be roughly $6 worth of HP and net you more than $20 worth of ISO
  • I have an announcement.

    IHatePVP....

Is going to play PVP. icon_eek.gificon_e_surprised.gificon_eek.gif

I appologize to everyone. With the current PVE running, turning away from up to THREE Psylocke covers....is not possible.

I again appologize to everyone, esp. if the shuffler puts your team in front of me. If I could get the covers by losing to you all, I would. But I do mean I want those Psy covers ONLY. If by some mathematical miracle I end up at rank 1, I will NOT shield.

In that spirit, I wish us all luck, and that we may all reach our goal.

Also Devs....I don't know if I should applaud....or slow-clap you people. So I will just type this.
    Ruddy Brilliant, team. Brilliant.
  • I'm crying. And frantically trying to farm up those Jugg covers from the Prologue. icon_e_sad.gif

Damnit, but Psylocke looks cool... Maybe I shouldn't bother. icon_e_sad.gif
  • This tournament is absolutely brutal on health packs, pretty much every one you face has max characters. With little to no defensive options (in my opinion), I've opted for the brute force approach and it's Headbutt all the way! Got to 400 and shielded, kind of hopeful that is going to be good for a decent placing, given that everyone seems to have the potential to smash everyone else.

I know what you mean. I'm just glad I decided to build Juggernaut again a few weeks back.

    Headbutt ftw!
  • This is going to be a grindy, miserable tournament for me, since everyone in my mmr seems to have maxed 1*s, and my only maxed 1* is Hawkeye (I was using him a lot for grunts at the time and didn't realize that I wouldn't be much longer).

Eh, I've got one Psylocke cover. May be time to tank.
  • pretty much these line up is the most common i met through the match up...
    Damage dealer = Ironman35, Juggernaut
    Supporter = Black Widow, Storm

Maybe its time for dev to introduce as least 1 or 2 common one star character...
  • I have no chance in this tourney. Sold off all my 1* long ago other than im35, lvl 20 venom and lvl 2 Juggs. Debating openung up 2 cover slots to get some 1* just to tank but I am not sure I would even win the opening fight.

Having a blast. Storm + Juggy + idc + jungle = endless moves. And garantereed **** opponents!

I skipped for a while until I found a team that was 3 level 2 guys that I can beat.
  • They are calling this the "commons" tournament on their Facebook page.
Get your commons out and join in the Commons Tournament, starting today!

It just sounds effortlessly derogatory. The dowager countess would approve.

The 1* heroes say 'common' on their rarity.
  • I got a defense win of 20 pts, which amuses me to no end, since my team consists of a maxed mStorm and a lvl 7 Venom and nobody else. But yeah mostly tanking that way. Not nearly enough roster slots.
  • Whew, I was planning on selling IM35 for an extra roster slot. I guess I'm permanently keeping him for cases like this.

IM35/BW/Storm is the best team. I think IM35 is better than Juggernaut because Yellow gives you one more option to attack. Juggernaut is good, but conflicts a bit with Storm and is brutal on health packs. The strategy that's worked for me is to target opposing Storm first, while collecting blue. When you get enough blue for a stun, stunlock the opposing Juggs/IM35. I would prioritize blue, then green. I would choose Storm's red skill over IM35's most of the time to have a chance at keeping the stunlock going.

I sold my Juggs cover not too long ago, but I think the only other team I would consider using is IM35/Juggs/Support (prob MBW). Having a double damage dealing core could be really annoying for stun-centric strategies like mine. My MBW is only L25, but if I were to level it up for future events, I'd be really careful not to make her blue attack harder than IM35s.
  • Guys, any recommended team setups?

    I have a maxed
    IM35
    M Storm
    Juggernaut
    M Widow

I could try to bring my Hawkeye higher. But what should be the general team to use?

I heard it's possible to generate an infinite combo loop with Storm, Venom, and Widow, btw.

IM35/Juggs/Widow seems like the most annoying team to face by far, so I'd go with that. This tournament makes me sad because I don't want to spend 50k iso maxing out 3 1*s, sigh. The psylocke covers probably aren't worth it...?
  • After trying various builds, I stick to BW, Storm and Venom. Sure, I miss IM35 yellow protect tiles (they do wonders against other 1* heroes), but in this configuration I'm not afraid of any enemy build. When I fought IM/Jugg/Storm team I was able to stunlock Jugg for eternity, combining BW blue and Venom's purple. Then it's usually Storm's red, red, green, green, Venom's black, repeat, game over.
  • Since I don't have a maxed team, I'm just using Juggernaut to headbutt everybody to death and it's working extremely well, if you allow for the fact I"m playing a match about every three hours.
