Couldn't prof X tank 2x headbutts at x/x/5 with 2x X-Men allies? 75% DR is pretty damn nice (a level 450 Prof X on a 3x-men team has more than 150k effective healthpoints unless stunned).

My 7/1/1 Prof X will let you know as soon as he gets those covers. :(

I’m not sure tank is the word you’re looking for there. Survive, possibly yes, flourish, undoubtedly no.

This is why boosted protects are your friend.

Edit: i should clarify. Boosted protects, with a defender like Prof X, or some sort of plan to protect your protects... Or both.

So for Sentry, Venom, Juggs I used Thor/Okoye and 5* strange. I focused on matching TU tiles and Blue. I save Blue to see who I would need to stun primarily Juggs to keep him from killing Okoye. When I get 30 TU AP I can typically fire Thor’s Green 1-2 times and his red 2X. With Strange blue he give me stun and damage.

i will also say Ice is a nice sub for Strange with his stun and his green is great boosted by Okoye.

on my open I used 1 health pack total

I found it surprisingly smooth with Kitty, BRB, Thor.  Used Chewie support on Kitty, something with fortify tiles on BRB, and I've just realised I didn't put anything on Thor (whoops).  Teamups to give me strike tiles.

Being able to deny red/green/yellow was probably the key, and the boosted protects kept damage minimal even if I did need to make a match with Thor when one of the others was stunned.

As seen earlier in this thread, 4* Luke Cage, Kitty, and Valkyrie did the trick for me. Juggs never got a single Headbutt off.

Sub 3 of the Hunt: Hood, 3Daken, 3 Bullseye

Nothing special really. Yesterday's was a lot more worrisome.

The Hunt: Savage Land challenge node

    Dak3n/Hood/Bulls3ye

    Doesnt look too bad...

But i used more health packs here on my 4x clears than i did on yesterday's! And its all because of the synergy here, that yesterday's challenge DIDN'T have.

Hood steals, Daken fires off a deadly cheap blue, and if Bullseye can sneak in the final hit on any of your guys, its pretty much game over. They get so many POWERFUL strikes from Bullseye's passive that its nigh impossible to come back from.

I needed someone to soak up damage, but i also dont want Hood taking too much advantage of my AP. So... My first 3 clears were done with what is probably the most unorthodox idea I came up with.

    Kitty/4*Rocket/Hammercap

Why? I ask myself that too. :)

Its because Hood only steals AP if there's like 9 or more tiles of a color out there. So, i didnt want him stealing purple (because of Bullseye's purple)...and they have no use for red. So cap is gonna take hits and put more red AND blue on the board (thus, removing other colors).

Here's the trickier part. DON'T actively match blue tiles! It'll do you no good. In fact, that just gives the enemy AP to steal! What you're aiming to do with this is to score some lucky cascades. Leave the blue (and even red, if you can) alone. Let hammer's CDs go off and create more, and potentially cause cascades. With Gritty's boosted strikes out there, your cascades get stupid strong!

Of course, i aimed for bullseye first. Hammercap WILL die eventually. And i dont want Bullseye to capitalize on it! After that, i aimed for Daken. Hood's theft may be annoying, but Daken is the one doing damage.

On the fourth clear, Hammer couldnt live long enough to have fun. So i replaced him with Ic5man, going for boosted green iceman repeaters, a nice occasional stun (which kept Daken from firing his blue a bit), and a tank option as well. It worked decently well, but seemed slower (and wasnt as fun).

    Good luck to you!

Wildly over-leveled hood is a demon from the guantlets of elder days. He is quite scary.

That said, we have quite a few more stunning tools than we did in 2015, so I think this node will be manageable with the standard array of trick teams. Brute Force teams like thorkoye will work for the early clears, but will be board-luck dependent against 600+ opponents where 5 blue AP or 7 purple AP is a one shot kill.

Hood doesn't steal TU's. Pretty much any Okoye team is going to thrive, especially those that do damage passively. 2099/ThorKoye for the win!

Wish i had a functioning Thor OR Okoye. Sigh. One day.

When discussing teams you’ve used that work, I like the idea of putting character levels you are using from here on out so people have an idea of what to expect with their own versions.

I’ve pretty much settled on Thor (L440), Okoye (L457) and Ice (L458) or Thorkoye/X (L455) for the first four clears like many in here.

For the final 3, I think regardless of opponent I’m undefeated with the winfinite team of L450 Hawkeye, L344 Gamora and L320 Agent Coulson. It is very easy to keep the opponent stunlocked the entire match and I usually work to “deadliest woman” all three opponents (Coulson swaps plus Gamora black plus perpetual stuns make it easier than you might think.). While not super fast, it’s pretty much a lock against anyone.

Final sub I am still using Thor Okoye with Ice. It seems to use the fewest health packs. I also like Okoye, Hawkeye, Hammer cap for a battle.

i am interested in the next event with Phoenix being able to come back to life if she will be good on these challenge nodes.

Yeah the beauty is it doesn’t have to be super high level to work. Hawkeye just has to survive long enough to get a CD or two out and after that the engine is self-sustaining and the enemy doesn’t get another turn. Since the KOs come from Deadliest Woman’s insta-kill, the amount of damage you do and the opponent health is inconsequential.

Also a fun puzzle Element trying to get it to trigger three times.

That was easy. Hood always had low health. Going first for him being the most troublesome starting battles and a feeder. When downed leaves a big gap for his team.

I playex with X5, carnage 5 and Ice5 being a great help for preventing huge blows and most important because his plays denies blue.

Bad. Or good, if you like banners.

    5Carnage/Symbiote/Mindless

    For clear 5&6 they have

    312/194/267k

health. Carnage moves with ~15k damage per turn, double if you have more special tiles due to his moves. Also, CD spam by the goons.

    Yikes. That sounds painful.
