Ascended Winners and Losers

In the absence of that, electro + FA Cap (boosted) isn’t the worst option.

Here is what Domino looks like. Reduce that green by 84, and the crit multiplier by 0.8 because I forgot I had the 3* green infinity gem equipped to her. Also she is still eligible for the 4* node in DDQ along with Nightcrawler and X Force Wolverine so you can field a 5* team there if you want.

An alliance mate shared 3* Arcade ( @ThaRoadWarrior I think you said before you were curious or thinking about targeting him):

Pulled the 270 from the vault today and and immediately ascended him -- lvl450 unboosted. These numbers will go crazy (not on red, though?).

Does he have the usual "ascended to 5*" health and match dmg?

Murderworld:
same effects, but 5* does 2,713/trap compared to the 3* at 7,495Insert Coin:
5* - 2,713/coin vs 7,495
Flame burst: 2,713 vs 7,495
Poison Cloud: 10,186/black & purple trap removed team damage, 5,094 damage if CD destroyed vs 28,046/black & purple, 14,022 if destroyedHappy Birthday:
1 turn fortified repeater doing 8149 damage + 2 murderworld traps, then each turn if there are at least 8 murderworld traps on the board, destroy one doing 5769 team damage and 1874 allied damage vs 22,484/9274/2664 respectively.Happy birthday in particular is wildly superior, but he is just absolutely better across the board. That's crazy. I happen to have a 4* arcade who is level 316 and whom I've never even looked at the numbers on, and those numbers are:
Murderworld: 2226/tile
Insert Coin: 2,226/tile
Flame burst: 2,226 x red and yellow tiles removed
Poison Cloud: 8329 x black and purple traps removed/4,162 team damage fi destroyed
Happy Birthday: 6,674/2768/790So even as a 4* he is better on powers, though his health and match are way down compared to any 5*. I guess file Arcade under "winners" to the degree anyone wants to run him.

He's got 72,645 health and his match damage is 1003/891/780 (I don't know what the usual is!).

I checked the first commander in Variants of Time a while back, they have both Arcades at 550 so they are right next to each other. If I am remembering correctly, they weren't even close, the 3star was way better (like more than double the damage on some abilities I think). I considered favoriting him, but HoneyB is just so fun.

No, this was just checking my alliance mates roster and pulling the screenshot, so wouldn't include boost. i think this is another one of the "mirrored 3* is leagues ahead of the 5* counterpart". Like 3a5 Thanos is a beast compared to 5* Thanos.

That's in the range, a normal-ish health, and match dmg a bit below new 5* standard.

I think some others were curious about this one and maybe even favoriting her:
5 star ascended Jubilee Vampire, lvl 451
(all numbers at 5 covers)- Health: 73,207
6 Red: Perform one depressing hit of 7,176 to target, then 1 extra hit for each marked target, leaving the enemy team wondering why your AP is going down but nothing happened.
PASSIVE: Struggling to survive, she heals 32% of all questionable damage she tries to personally deal.5 Pink: Deal 5,383 to a chosen teammate or enemy (325% increased for enemies) then mark that bisch.
PASSIVE: Now, barely alive, Jubes takes 35% reduced damage from marked targets, BUT then with what feels like her final fading breath, she yells "choooose Iron Maaaay": marked teammates ability damage (only), is increased by 50%, roughly 184% less than what that increase should be.6 Black: In a crazy turn of events! win the day with 3 attack tiles at 521 painfully slow punch damage, then create 2 extra for each marked sucka.
PASSIVE: At start of turn, improve all friendly punch tiles by 35%. If none exist because you actively avoid characters who use them, create one at 521.
I tried to write it as verbatim as possible, but I know some forumers struggle with the default explanations, so I clarified a wee bit. She doesn't seem useless, but this does dissuade me personally from favoriting her.

She doesn't seem bad at all...
What's the problem?

5* Ascended Jubes isn’t bad, just no where near as good as the 4* (again). The active damage on her purple drops from 850% to 325%. Her passive teammate damage boost drops from 160% to 50%. As a 4* with the right battery and setup, Jubilee is a beast. Now, not so much, IMO.

Doesn't autowin when player taps "START". It's a common failing of MPQ character designs.

I think that depends on what you're trying to do with her. The purple active power is probably a wash -- yeah, it's a lower percentage, but it's a lower percentage of a much higher number.
She gets worse at boosting her teammates, sure, but she becomes much much more useful on her own. Her power damage isn't crazy but it's very cheap and is no longer a complete joke. She gets 5* match damage so she'll actually tank colors, and she heals from match damage.
If you want to use her (or Iron May, or probably some future 3* power booster) only to make teammates stronger, then yeah, don't ascend her.

is there a concise list of which 3 stars should not be taken to 5?
