I would also imagine there are many more players with support shards tickets than ascension reward tickets. That will also slow down the process, I imagine maybe another week to get everyone sorted.

My support shards haven’t appeared yet, but I am just grateful to be getting them at all.

Players were given rewards they fairly earned and people are envious of those with older and stronger rosters. Words like “consent” and “precedent” are getting thrown around in regards to a mobile game.

Players are mostly annoyed now at:
1) There was once again an error made and plenty of players earned MORE than what they were entitled to due to getting 12 covers for an ascended X23 regardless of the levels (370+370 or 370+270).
2) You need to be in the secret handshake club to get the ascended retro covers because there is no official announcement of it to the over all player base. Only those who come to the Forums or are on Discord or in an alliance where someone knows, knows to make the CS request.

Thus players (as in the entire player base) did not get what they fairly earned.

They should have held off on X23 retro covers for everyone (ascended and non-ascended) until they get a working solution for everyone even if it takes 6 months. I hope going forward they stop retro covers until that time so this doesn't happen every 5 star release with an older feeder.

Hmm, we could have a thread about what matters enough to deserve protests.

But mod obligations mean that would no doubt be an ephemeral butterfly of a thread compared with this giant tortoise which I strongly feel should be allowed to potter on snapping it's beak at whatever it thinks looks like lettuce.

Sorry what am I jealous of? I haven't said that players who got rewards should be stripped of them but players who might have deserved those rewards should have a place to comment. I can only assume that you don't believe you deserved the rewards you got and do not want any dialogue about it so want it shut down in case of...wellI don't really know. I can't be jealous because I was never liable to get any of these rewards but shutting down discourse over this seems a very strange thing to me. Why don't you want this left open for others to comment?

I only got six retro covers instead of 12 because of where I fell in the CS queue. I’m not complaining because it literally doesn’t matter. But there’s people posting on here like they’re leading a revolution against tyranny. lol. Absolutely lol.

There was a rule that everyone knew. They reversed course on that rule after complaints from one group. Another group was upset about that. Then the implementation of that walking back of the original rule was goofed and a bunch of people got even more rewards than they "earned" and yet another group was upset.

You are not the arbiter of what can be discussed even if you get to run your victory lap for getting the rule change you lobbied for. That is what is being protested. It is indeed a small thing. Just like your original complaint was a very small thing that you could have easily let go. But you didn't and we got here.

I'm going to wait until they formally state they're going to grant the covers under these circumstances via CS ticket, or implement a system. I'll Ascend the characters who feed themselves (e.g. Carnage, since even if they come out with a new 5* Carnage they probably still won't change who feeds him,) and I'll ascend characters I think I'm going to use (e.g. Polaris, I'm seeing her a fair bit in SIM and while I can deal with that team, I'd like to play too.) Otherwise I'll probably wait. I've already re-rostered Luke Cage and Nova, for example, but Roster slots aren't expensive now so the only drawback is extra clutter.

One could argue that you get better rewards from creating a new 4* than leveling the 5* anyway...

I'm kind of in the middle on this one. Yes, I agree that it was made clear going forward ascended characters wouldn't qualify for previous rewards. Though the retro rewards things was only designed initially to me a temp thing in order to get certain feeder trees right, not a long term every time a new 5* is released thing. Now we have characters who already have fully fleshed out feeder trees being retro reward, that's different from adding a feeder to someone who didn't have one. The easy answer to this is to simply stop doing retro rewards. Obviously, this would be widely unpopular, but would solve the issue. Conversely, these could just give retro rewards to all both those who've ascended their characters and those who haven't. I know it's been said by some other players and I'll say it to, giving everyone retro rewards doesn't really hurt anyone. This game is free to play so it relies on players spending so extra to keep the lights on. I truly doubt that giving out those extra rewards will stop those who spend money on the game from doing so, in fact out may help increase it. Yes, they could draw a hard line here and say it is the way we said it is, we created a system to help the game, but don't use it cause it will probably hurt you more in the long run. Just my two cents.

It can be simplified by giving the deserving number of retro covers and shards to unascended ones and if ascended give bare minimum six would be the right middle ground or else one group or the other is going to be upset and ther will be no end to the issue
