MARVEL PUZZLE QUEST – 10 YEAR CELEBRATION

I still find it confusing, someone explained how you do the colour changing one but I followed the rules and still didn’t do any damage on some of the matches I made
I like that there is a puzzle to solve but it still seems to rely heavily on luck
I’m also concerned that this is the upcoming boss battle and will it be another “you’re supposed to lose scenario “

I don't know that there is a set pattern to the color changing challenge. I write down each color and note which AP a match gives me. The AP gained has to match Quandary's current color to do damage.

I just went with high health 5*s and played for cascades until it worked on the color change one.

If you bring quake or electro the enemy aoe attack will only do -1 damage, so if you're having trouble figuring out what color does damage, you'll have plenty of time to just win eventually.

Last anniversary was the first one for BCS and they did something crazy.
This year the anniversary is much better for the community.
Well earn a customized costume, a 5* chimichanga, 3* power stone, and also each 6 days a metassential vault with 3 meta 5 covers, iso and support tokens, plus fan favorites tokens, HP..
Quandaries task giving thousands of iso.
And new pve and new boss event, plus new champion system.
All the community will have these rewards almost regardless of how many HP could save, not like past year.
To not say this is the better anniversary ever, I honestly think it's to fail considering many things.
Other gacha games? Usually they make a favorites call, some bonus items as a gift, and that's all folks.
Think about it.8 -

Round of applause for staff member who thought doing 6 consecutive different colour matches while not allowing us to manipulate the board was a good idea.
Quandary is going in the bin.3 -

Quandary is going in the bin.The board is the same every time though, so that's literally the puzzle.

I enjoyed the new event and Peggy is my third favorite Marvel character (behind Rogue and Gambit), so this anniversary is shaping up nicely for me.

Can I whine just a bit about the whining?
Loved those puzzles (remember it’s called PUZZLE Quest Marvel ?) that force us to think things through instead of brainlessly completing missions.7 -

How else will they know people don’t like it? Your opinion being positive doesn’t automatically give you high ground. With that said, I respect your right to voice it the same as everyone else.

Although I agree with you on principle, there also has been plenty feedback that was absolutely not constructive across all discussion platforms. Posts along the line of ‘What we’re they thinking,’ ‘this is ridiculous,’ ‘I’m out,’ all have set a much more negative tone than what I would consider constructive.
But I definitely also am biased since I have enjoyed it so much and I feel like an outlier.

It's not a fun puzzle when the tile you need to match is in the corner, and you only have one match near the top of the board.

It looks like I have not been getting my daily play tokens for the anniversary vault a few days now. Anybody else having the same issue?

After emptying the vault and going on the 2nd clear I really don't think it's worth the HP for me this year. Of course others see different value. Losing the 9 pulls for 100 and FF pulls has totally de-valued the anniversary vault for me. I may as well just pull the meta vault. In a week I will only add 3 covers to Shang Okoye and Thor. Last year I would have added 9+ to each character. The Meta tokens being in there are not really enough to just save the HP and buy the meta vault instead.I guess I'm a little disheartened after how good last years vault was and that I save all my HP each year for these. So I have sympathy for those that have 26+ days of FF vault with no swaps and changes.
Yeah but that's the subjective opinion of a player just wanting to raise characters to 550 level, and it's stated that it's the opinion of less than 3% of the playerbase.
You had your time last year. I won't expect that to be repeated more years, even more with the direction Champions 2.0 is driving.
And personally I think it's the right direction.
You can be sure that you are in minority, either way.1 -
Mod mode off
A couple of thoughts from me. I'm enjoying the anniversary and I think it has been well thought through to cater for the entire player base this year. Last year, I didn't have loads of HP and I did really well in advancing SC from 4 covers to an L458, I think. It was great.
This year, I saved my HP, and on first review of the stores, I thought the Metassential Vault was amazing, but the Anniversary Vault was a bit meh. There's 2 - 5*s in the Anniversary vault, a vault that done people had 30+ tokens going into, with a free Token every day. That's half the vault cleared for free (with 4500 HP and 6 Metassential tokens in it). If that was last year's vault it would be crazy. But the Metassential vault is basically a capped version of last years generosity. That affects me this year, but I don't care.
Because in my view, 5*s are not the only end game any more. Ascension has changed everything and made it accessible for newer rosters to have value in lower tier rewards. There is value in every cover now, not just the 5s. So if I get more free lower tier rewards and still a number of higher level things and roster slots, then that's kinda cool for everyone, because nobody has ascended everyone yet and not everyone has 100k HP to spend.
On the views of the Quandary event, I personally have enjoyed it. I have shared the frustrations of others about tile placement and the consecutive nature of the Quests. Others have a different opinion. But whatever your opinion, please don't present it as indisputable fact: "It's the best thing in the world" or "it's rubbish" being examples. I think a majority of arguments start because of binary views presented as a universal truth. It's not one thing or the other and neither your opinion, or mine, are the defining arbiter of the quality. But of course, that's just my opinion... 🙂

Ha! I'll take a week off from being a Mod when they announce it...
On a serious note though, the value of a 5* cover has been through a bitcoin-like journey over the last couple of years so it's no wonder it's dropping back a bit. I think the peak of availability was last anniversary and with feeders. Now its back to more where we were.

I agree with that. However from a business perspective I’m not interested in how polite my customers might be as much as I am with making sure they are happy. So 20-30 people saying “This is trash” or whatever is something I may want to take a look at. This makes the information useful.
With that said, 5 people telling me why they don’t like it and what would make it better is of more value. So, I think it’s all a matter of perspective. What I know for sure is that people saying nothing is of absolutely no value. Some people might not be inclined to lay out a full fledged plan on how to improve things for no compensation, does that make them wrong? They just want to enjoy the game and the anniversary that was hyped like crazy and isn’t living up to that hype thus far (IMHO).
It’s also commonly misrepresented that the members of this forum or any other social is a minority. It’s something a smart business person would look at as sample of the larger scale. This is what surveys are all about…take the opinions of 20K people and extrapolate the data to an approximate value among the greater population.
If this were a fan forum, I think I’d be on the same page as everyone else. But it is the official forum of the game. I suppose if they don’t care how something is received they could say so and implement it as a rule. Seems short sighted to me, but I’m just one guy.

They can't change a running week, they've said so before.1
