Can I just check, because this is a guardians of the galaxy linked community event do they have to be GotG character powers? Do we have to have one on our team? Or is it just GotG rewards and literally any powers count?

Nope - use who you like.

Right, time to smash out many matches with BRB,KK & Polaris then!

Poppa wants a brand new power stone!

Ice said in discord that passive powers count, so maybe just farm the low lv goon fights now and then.

So my extensive testing where I told you all this turned out to be true. You're all welcome.

    Vindication for you, too!

    Mod mode off

A 48-hour node in the middle of it won't help... 🫣

Unfortunately this incident is pretty much the nail in the coffin of the Forums for me. I love it here but I guess the whole 6 of us thing is how it is viewed. Of those in the know only one came here to tell us and no Devs. Obviously they all figure those of us who choose to post here have no to little value and wouldn't matter knowing this very important thing, especially as misinformation was being shared here (not intentionally of course) and that could have been corrected earlier than it was. Thanks again to @Seph1roth5 for at least thinking of us here.

Never thought this would be the thing to do me in but I am pretty disappointed at how this has all panned out. Maybe it wouldn't make any difference but if one of the Devs had come in and corrected the assertions days ago that only powers fired using AP counted there might have been a tangible impact on how far we could go. All 6 of us.

This might not be a fair question to ask... In what ways are you in contact with the team working on the game? Is there an office where you can walk up to someone and ask a question?

Or is this mostly a virtual thing? If so, is that one reason why it can take a long time between a question being asked and answered?

so less than 50% with one day left, and 48h sub pve running... That is a bit disheartening. > @Scofie said:

Has anyone thought of banning 48hours sub ? I dont see any added value to them, except being a "bad" day off.

    Yes please.
Get rid of those two day subs!

It's entirely virtual - I'm based in the UK. Time difference plays into timing of responses but sometimes things need to be checked out by different people or teams before we get an answer. Most of the time S0kun, Ice or Devpool will answer it directly rather than through fight4thedream or I to reduce that time.

I like them every now and again. Always seem to place higher when there's a 48-hour sub.

You start the match until near completion then retreat :)

🤣 I can do an entire day of Wong/Rocket/Chasm/retreat. If it takes on average 15 seconds, I could fire 17280 powers in that time if I don't eat or sleep or check in here. I have 1700 health packs to burn through anyway...

Ah. Well, that explains a lot. Thank you for answering.

I started the The Guardians Have Taken Over for this exact reason.

Communication is next to zero. We have no real idea with what we are supposed to be doing with these limited events.

Over and over the basics of events change.

Black History month gave tokens every day. Women’s history month did not.

The term fired powers is specific, and if the dev team decides to change the meaning of fired powers the community should know.

It wouldnt be that bad, except we don’t even get a preview of anything.
It shows up in game maybe a blurb on twitter or Facebook. That is fine.

But there should be more than just a blurb. When a meta event is introduced the goals and rewards need to be communicated at least.

    @DAZ0273
This coffin has infinite nails! And finally I got what devs are doing: providing nails forever! Sometimes I have the feeling that this is a game a la carte. We complaint about something and devs provide. I have to say they use to be quick on it and generous.
(And I know why you are down. You miss hound ;) ).
Personally, those GotG milestone actually were huge, and I left days passing by and when I went to see how it worked that there was just 1 day left, so I didn't complete even tier 1. So yeah I could had use something like a reminder of milestone tasks.
And about this community challenge, I'm playing like always because I have other game which I'm playing more hours right now, sorry about that.
And about that thing of passives or actives, I'd say even them they didn't had a clue about it (as usually happens :D).
So as you can see everything is pretty funny, in the end.

Communication under Demiurge was just as bad (if not worse), so this isn't a new issue.

The reason it feels new is that BCS is DOING so much more stuff, and a lot of that stuff is new! These community challenges never happened under the previous regime, and stuff like character bonus rewards also never happened. New stuff requires communication -- we can't just guess how it works, because we've never seen it.

Maybe the other guys never did this kind of stuff because they didn't or couldn't do the communication required to support it?

If we cannot have both communication and new stuff, I prefer these new stuff over nothing or just PR comm that leads to nothing. I think community can adapt to "get new things throw at you and figure it by yourself". Not optimal, but much better than just piling a 4* and sometimes useful 5* every month

I still can't believe Demi never communicated how PVE works.
Rubberbanding, their whole scoring experiments, 8 hour refreshes, 4 hour refreshes, overlapping subs... We had to figure ALL of that out by ourselves.
