10% people who can't play
88% people mad that other people can't play
2% an idiot ranting into the void about irrelevant nonsense1 -
You cant expect that all people not having any problem appearing here just to say I dont have any problem. Like I did.0

you’re not just saying that it doesn’t bother you. You seem to be saying that other people’s experience is inconsequential. You even propose this fake choice between either you’re superhuman or that you went to a doctor. Which is bizarre and really doesn’t get us anywhere,Saying something hurts users obviously doesn’t mean it hurts every individual one. That’d be like me saying, well I didn’t die of cancer this year.... guess that was a big hoax that doesn’t affect everyone.
it’s a ridiculous approach to anything. You could make the argument that the level of impact is not significant to the future of the game. But this definitely is affecting people currently playing the game.11 -

Another time we are talking about a game hurting users.
You can say I dont like this update/ I have problems playing it. That is a perfect valid opinion/experience.
Saying this is a game hurting users is absolutely false in the very moment I can say in my personal experience and like others users said we dont have any problem playing it.
The sentence closer to the truth is this game has a lot of users who never miss a chance to hurt it.
And dont forget to say thanks to the speed hackers. Possibly because of them we have this update that personally Im not a fan too.
And possibly for that devs wont revert the old board. Just saying.
Well, unless I am reading this in a way you didn't intend, no this is not false at all. Yes, the players who are experiencing issues with the new boardgame have the choice to not play. That being said, they still have very valid points.
"this game has a lot of users who never miss a chance to hurt it"
I'm not a regular user of this forum, therefore I can't speak to this directly with a great amount of confidence, but I am seeing a lot of users with 1 single post, in all of this forum, to their name in this thread. I doubt they are out to hurt this game. How does one hurt this game via a forum?
The money won't be flowing as much into this game unless this is fixed. I've spoken to many who will not be renewing VIP or making any purchases unless it is. That may be what it takes. Funny how they just had a sale/bonus on HP right before rolling this out. 🤔12 -
They can continue to be angry but what's the point? It's highly unlikely the board will be back to what it was, but it will evolve from what it is. Go take some meditation class or something. Getting angry for a prolonged period of time over something which one have no control is detrimental to their health too.
Next, as for the purchases made during the 30% sales, they still can ask for refund if they want to. It's not like the purchases will be 100% nonrefundable. If their concerns are legitimate, then they get their refunds.0 -

Because if I was suffering so much and then I realized there is people not having any problem, perhaps I would wonder if there is a possibility to be needing help.Chameleon said:

There are a lot of users with one single post providing feedback. Not all of them are saying they cannot play by headaches.
But some users started saying this game is hurting users, inducing epilepsy, and many other things that others carry on.
Anyway devs are going to fix it, like I told so many pages ago.0 -
I haven’t been generalizing.You have.0

I’ve only ever said that this change has hurt me.
and that I think a way more sensible reaction to this mess would’ve been to roll back and tinker with UI later. If this UI was indeed some kind of reaction to speed hack, I don’t see any reason why it needs to be tied to this specific iteration if UI. It shouldn’t be hard to separate. And if it is, just let the speed hack keep going on just like it had been for months until you figure out a way to not make people like me have headaches from playing your game all day.
the two things aren’t really comparable. One is a pressing issue that’s easily rolled back immediately , the other is a more long term and pervasive issue that can wait until you devise a better UI, universal to the existing player base.I am willing to cut them a lot of slack. I always have been. I think this was really handled very poorly tho.
edit:but I’ve never tried to speak for you or discount that indeed, you have no problem with this change. Everything I have said has been my own experience.0 -
All the players getting very angry over the speed hack two weeks ago kept quiet all of a sudden after this update was rolled out. It's like the speed hack has never happened before. Virtually none of them (those who got affected by it) brought this closing of speed hack as a possibility why we are getting new problem (s). As a matter of fact, they ignored this possibility or pretended that it didn't exist.
The speed hack is a pressing issue for some (like scl 10 players) because they are willing to discredit the dev by saying that they did nothing about it and made the "hack" publicly available for many players to be seen.
People just have to wait until 3rd April, and hopefully, earlier, to see if things improve. In any deal, there will always be losers and winners. So, I don't expect the upcoming fix to make every single player happy.2 -
Why can’t it be that both things were mismanaged and equally worthy of criticism?
if you think about it, it might really be that the two mismanagements were entirely tied to each other. How does that equal a blanket defense to not pick at it?
Edit: or maybe you think it’s not our place to ever criticize what the devs do with this game?I wonder what the purpose of a user forum is then?3 -
Hacking exists everywhere. If solving hacks or closing exploits is as simple as you think, then Bill Gate would like to hire you. Microsoft has been around for more than 30 years and they are still getting hacked today. You might think that 30 years of experiences in programming would be more than enough to build a perfect software, but it isn't as easy. Likewise, those players expect exploits to be closed quickly and their solution is to ban players, apart from the obvious closing of exploit. You are right that there's some mismanagement and those players mismanaged their expectation because the dev, the mod, admin and CS has mentioned that it will take some time to close the exploit or investigate the issue. They have been told that it will take some time. As usual, they want instant gratification and that's why they decided to embark on a coordinated attack on the dev because they can't get what they want within the timeframe they stipulated.
I find that some players here have some form of god-complex. They behave as if they can execute everything perfectly. They criticise everything the dev do that didn't live up to their expectations. These ranges from communication, posting of info, character balances, and word choices etc.
It's true mistakes were made by the dev for not taking into accounts of players who are suffering from some sort of medical conditions. And they are making changes to make things better for those players. Sure, it's going to take another two weeks or so and they have communicated what the timeframe will be like and what fixes they are focusing on. People grow and learn from mistakes. No one learn and grow by being perfect. Despite the fact that the dev has set a timeframe for the fix, people are still bashing them because it's not an immediate fix. In that case, it's on these people how they are going to manage their expectations. People need to adapt and move on with changes.

Well what about the rest of us who don’t have such god complexes?
I don’t think it’s irrational to petition for the dev to rollback to something that existed yesterday, And gave no one headaches. That seems like an easy thing to do. Revert to yesterday,
hunker down and figure out tomorrow for sure.
but it’s not insane to ask for a rollback to just a few days ago when none of this was an issue for anyone, that’s not a god complex.I think any burden of proof is on you. This is nonsense, this should have been day two. A massive part of the game base is clamoring for them to put their **** away and just let us play the normal game we’ve always played. Everything else be damned, just do that. The very basics.
I guess they cannot. So we will wait as we have no choice other than to quit entirely,
ihave a hard time imagining how you think people should react to things they don’t like.Edit: I mean I realize you been here and caring about this game for a long time, so it’s probably tiring for you to read these forums. But what else is anyone supposed to do to express their dissatisfaction with the game right now. Take a step back man, do some meditation like you said... this is just people saying, ‘I don’t like what’s going on, please fix it and the sooner the better. Like probably right now would be a good time’
thats what you’re seeing. The god complex Is your own bag.6 -

I, for one, like UI update overall. Even though there are clearly areas that need improvement/fixing.2 -
I don’t think me saying one thing in some part of a semi rant equals a logical fallacy.
your mileage certainly may vary, but haha, gimme a break already. That’s just silly.
edit: and great that you like the update. A lot of people don’t tho. And I am just saying that I don’t. Entirely, I don’t like it. You disagree. That’s okay.0 -
***Mod note: While I understand the need to vent, please keep in mind this thread is to provide feedback regarding the changes to the Gameboard; it is not meant to be a space to lecture other forum users on how they should or should not be reacting to those changes.
We ask that you take these discussions of differences in opinion to DMs. Any further posts not directly providing feedback regarding the Gameboard changes will be removed. Please keep this thread on topic. Thank you.

So, I don't expect the upcoming fix to make every single player happy.Again with half truths and facts about this without painting a full picture of when this fix happened, what events were going on and what the next event was.As for the game board, while I have issues with how the colors look, the AP bar being very small and not being able to see quickly when some powers are ready, I have had 0 issues with this. When I have talked about the issues facing some players, it is because some do not talk on the forums, don’t want to come and set up and account. I did have 2 player quit due to their headaches and eye strain they have suffered. I have one that is playing very limited due to his epilepsy issues. He is looking away every single AI turn and doesn’t think he will be around much longer.9 -
Not to fan the flames... (And i really dont want to, but i fear my words will be taken as such)
Ive NEVER seen an update for this game get so much vitriol before this one.
Not just here... But in other places too. Facebook for one, is even more toxic than normal.
My own YouTube channel, which is meager at best, has its nay-sayers towards the update.
I make do with it. I guess i'm 'blessed' to be okay with it currently. Ive gotten used to the entire ordeal, even though i know i'd be happy to go back to what it was. In the end, they probably dont wanna undo their hard work and resources spent, but also dont wanna lose such a large part of the playerbase (which i'd assume includes people from F2P to Whales).
I look forward to the next change, and to our topics reverting back to "character balance", "okoye everywhere", and "cheating".2 -

@ThaRoadWarrior lol. Noted. And honestly, i havent seen anything either. Been playing around with more 4s lately, just for fun, but M5rvel remains lackluster at best.0
