  • Yay for the grey challenge bug... I was in the top 100 for that Rag tournament until that started.

    Not happy.
  • Does anyone know if the Red Magneto.cover is available in the diabolical set? I can't ever finish in the Top 2 in the Magneto so I haven't been able to get him started.

Exit the tournament, then select a mission in the 3*. That has been working for me.

All of the featured villains are in the set.

Thanks polkio for setting that team of yours

I was not setting it for Ragnarok. Ragnarok round was at 2 am my time so I am not crazy to wake up at that time to get his cover. Like I said I know that people without good 3*covers have got hard time in this lightning so my team should be little bit easier to them icon_e_smile.gif

It's starting to get that feeling of talking to a brick wall when you tell them what a bad idea something is and they go and make it worse. I can't figure out if they don't understand or just don't care. Or if it's all just about making those dollars.
Here's the thing. I can easily reply and say 'noted'. Except that we read all the threads on the forums and a few of us wrap up larger suggestions and issues so that they can be talked about more easily. But unless something is horribly broken and needs a fix *now*, we put things into the queue to get worked out. That queue is not an instant turnaround, nor is it a week out. So while we may completely agree one something and be working to fix it, it would be worse to leave off our schedule in the meantime and have nothing instead of something. And by saying that we agree with anything in particular, that puts a sudden requirement that we keep everyone updated constantly on progress on any given change, which is an untenable situation, as lack of communication on a promised change creates annoyed customers very quickly. Really, we listen.
  • Okay, I guess I should write my thoughts after joining couple rounds already, because my initial reactions was totally missed. True, I struggle to get to position I was so easily to attain last week, however, it's not just because fights are harder, but I reckon people have more points in general now.

Buffed Ragnarok himself is not that scary. Buffed Doom on his own is manageable. My problem is when someone has whole team with high level buffed characters and that's most of top players. As my friends said, whole buffed team v whole buffed team is no difference from fight without buffs at all.
Therefore what I would suggest is to make only one character buffed in each round. But not the character we can win in that round, so this way you could benefit from getting good result in one round in another round. In addition, it would remove grief from seeing people with high level Loki fighting for high positions in Loki round eg. having buffed Hood to win more Hood is bit pointless, make Hood buffed in round we can win Doctor Doom.
  • Congrats Nemek - Ragnarok forces groving ...

It's nice to hear that you guys are listening and that at least some of the time you agree. But I personally would be way more impressed (and far less likely to complain) if when someone identified a problem you agreed with, you simply said, "We agree with you on point X, we're going to address it in a future update but we can't identify when exactly that will be." That's way better than the feeling of shouting into the void and being ignored. That lack of communication definitely guarantees you "annoyed customers very quickly".

My first top 2 in a lightning round!! icon_e_biggrin.gif

This also leaves me with just one Rag cover to go. This time last week, I had zero covers.

Nice - almost same story for me, but i need 1red and 2 green. Probably today or tomorrow Ragnarok will be 5/5.

I think the dev team is doing a great job. I've played other games and I've never seen one with forums and devs communicating this well with the players. And guys if you like the game throw some money in the pot and support them. It's a mostly free to play game and they got to eat too. I look at it as how much money do you spend on a console game that you play once and never play again?

People have such stong teams because some of these people have been playing since launch day, and while it may be hard to beat a team with all buffed characters do you punish the people who spent money to make a stong team since day one? And not everyone with a great team spent money, but it's likely they gave something back to the dev team.

Also this is a great community, players and people on forums are the life blood of these games. It's great to play with a great group of people who just want to have fun and learn the ins and outs of an addicting game.
  • I was trying to get Top 50 in last 2 lighting rounds ... but the number of player's with lvl60+ Raqy is overwhelming. icon_e_wink.gif
Anyway in "The Hood round" i didin't met many player's from forum, but in "Ragnarok round" i saw whole elite icon_e_smile.gif
  • The Hood's round is still broken -- retaliations take far, far more points away than all the other rounds. Hope a fix is in the works for that for a future group of Lightning Rounds.
  • two weeks straight, zathrus. last week's lightning rounds has my super saiyan disgruntled rage form all over the thread

I thought I was going crazy when I did that one last night. I was at 251 points and lost to someone with 78 points and my point loss was -41 points.

It took all my effort just to maintain a 200 point score.

Yes, this week's lightning round appears to be identical to the week before -- they clearly didn't touch the code at all. Which was a really bad idea given that they changed how buffing works (both for tile matching and for hp). It's turned these rounds into a sad, sad joke.

Every time I try to do more than the 100 point level I wind up getting up in the 100 bracket, only to fall out between the time I start my last match and time expires. I'd love to have some of the covers, any of the covers (ok, not Loki), but between matchmaking being broken for me (c.f. -- 3* tournament) and how long these matches are taking with no buffed characters of your own it's just not viable.
  • Funny to see top players sitting in 25-50 mark in those rounds just to get diabolical token.

I hope IceIX runs numbers on both this tournament and last week's to see who those went to. I'm betting it wasn't a very large spread of players.

I'd be happy with a Heroic token, although certainly the Diabolical token or the actual covers would be better.
  • So I'm curious, I see many Ragnarok at 112 but his cap 115. Does it require hp to cap him?
