Rated 2600ish with 57 points at the 10 minute mark. How's that for a participation crash?0

The patch notes indicate they don't show all the potential covers anymore to reduce memory consumption.0 -

I think once Americans get home from work, we'll see those numbers go up. Either way, I don't know if that's bad for a lightning tournament anyway. There are always very significant amounts of time where people can't play a video game...which is the point of the lightning tournaments anyway.0 -
I ain't even mad with the lightning rounds tbh. I originally planned to use these to tank my matchmaking rating for the 3-star tournament. I don't care how OP Rag is, I want Spidey.0

Careful doing that, you may find it difficult to get matches that give any points.0 -

It's not so bad, I've been doing this for quite a while now. I usually only have time for a couple matches for quite a few of the rounds because Wednesday and Thursday are bad days for me to play. I get the first token and stop there. I seem to have a fairly easy time in other tourneys because of it.0 -

Here's the problem with loki,
Illusions:
He can change the tile color of up to 16 random tiles, to a random other color (including the original color). it sometimes changes the color of countdown timers and other special tiles, but it is way too random to depend on. If he could change environmental tiles to basic tiles, that would make it somewhat more useful.
Trickery:
Even at 5/5 it's very expensive to use. 11 black AP to use the enemies strike and defense tiles against them. By the time an opponent has enough strike tiles out to be worth using 11 black AP for trickery, my team is already hurting. Loki is already hurt exposing himself to fetch black tiles... because he's strong in black. There's opportunity costs grabbing those black tiles. I could have obtained more useful blue tiles for Spider Man or C.Storm, red tiles for ragnarok or thor, or using a character to produce my own strike and defense tiles. It costs less to produce my own, and I have more flexibility to where I use my AP.
Level up:
Loki has no abilities that are affected by leveling up. His abilities remain unchanged. Swapping ownership of tiles does the same at level 15 as at level 115. Trickery does the same at level 15 as it does at 115.
He's the Bag Man of 3* Characters. Classic Hawkeye is more useful than Loki.0 -

I've tanked my rating a couple of times now. I've never found it to be anything other than either beneficial or equal. I generally do it when it looks like it's really high at the moment, since you just see the same handful of opponents the entire time. At that point, everybody in that group is at a disadvantage, so I get out. You'll find that towards the end of tournaments the point spread is really close, even for people who don't have a high matchmaking rating (most tourneys end in the high 900s.) I've never had any difficulty finding opponents with good points. It's only generally a problem if you're doing a big reach for the really high rewards (1300/1400).
It also has the added benefit of not being on the high matchmaking players lists of opponents.0 -

LOL in the recruit screen, for the standard offer it says '1 star or better'. What were you going to get a half star character?0

I nabbed two classic magnetos and a red rags (sold off *sad face*), then junk.0 -
dmendro wrote:IceX, I know you are lurking. This tournament is atrocious. The last round was bad enough. If you don't already have a high leg level rag, you have no chance at winning anything except the default seeing matches. This is going to only discourage players from playing. This is called jumping the shark.
It's starting to get that feeling of talking to a brick wall when you tell them what a bad idea something is and they go and make it worse. I can't figure out if they don't understand or just don't care. Or if it's all just about making those dollars.0 -
I need to start getting some boosts so I can rack up them Diabolical tokens again0
