To whoever said stick to two matches and then reshield (locked I think) - earlier I was at 1018, did one (don't remember what I went to ~1048 probably), did one more and came out to -100+, reshielded at 950. I guess I might have some juicy retals (maybe, or some for 2 pts), but still, was super frustrating to shield hop down, as others have done too.

p.s. pimptastic - you worth anything at this point? I've got you for a retal, but won't hit you unless you're shielded (and preferably 1100+ )

wasn't me, I'm not much of a shield-hopper myself. For me, it's usually an unshielded climb all the way to 1100 (at off-times). And I only hit 1100 twice so far
It's just that the season makes things so much worse. Usually people wouldn't shield after hitting 1100 if they don't need 1st or tourney prizes, but with season craziness...

Was going to push to 1100 last night but there was this food poisoning issue for the last 36 hours soo yeah...I got to 1019 but every time I try to move id get attacked by multiple people in the 600 range, some forum members I'm not happy. From 550 to 1k I ground 85 teams why cant you guys do that as well sheesh...

My bad - was just a few minutes ago I read it, but didn't quote and clearly already forgot who it was. And yeah, I'd much prefer to do it your way, but I usually start when it's off time and then when I'm finally up to 1000 or so it's a little busier and I have to end up shielding. Don't have a stellar 3* roster so I'm usually a pretty good target at that point.

What a bloodbath. I've hit 1100 and I'm shielded for the rest of the tourney so have at it. Time to relax with some Diablo 3 and 100% increased legendary drop weekend!

I have given up on the notion of doing two matches, as during the second one, no matter how fast I may be, I come out at least one attack of -40, everytime.

Now, I shield, wait, shut game completely down. Relaunch closer to end of shield, skip everyone one currently in a node as they're stagnant, and find the highest possible match I can do...normally about 24. I do that one as fast as possible, reshield, and watch 4-5 attacks bounce off the shield.

just got done doing that exact thing. Amazing how fast the see you now.

Just curious, when you just hit me did you have me queued earlier or did you just find me? My shield had been down maybe 3 minutes

I usually had to skip like 4 times but I found one, or at least a team with OBW. Way way too many people with high leveled Dakens, except for Slobo I couldn't bother to try and hit them. Was hit 9 times in the last 10 minutes since I shielded -.- One by a team with 400 points how stupid is this.

As long as I get the red Thor cover ill be fine I guess, will max him.

This is tinykitty. This tourney is competitive enough without getting awarded erroneous points during a precious unshielded push.

don't the points flux on what all they've done since you put them in your que? if they've went down or up themselves that dynamically changes the point total even though the UI doesn't show it. so really its best to not move your que around until your ready to break your shield and fight.

Really? I thought an opponent's points were fixed once they appeared in your queue. That's ridiculous what's the point of showing a point amount at all in the queue, them? Also, if true, why can't the points at stake shown in the queue update dynamically?

EDIT: Wow, you're right, just tested in reckless (sorry! thought you would be shielded) and got more points than my queue showed. I never knew that. I had noticed slight changes of a few points here and there, but thought that was a display error. I guess the delta was so much greater today because this tourney is such a bloodbath.

Also, that's asinine. Why can't they display accurate totals in the queue?

You hit me just as I broke a shield to try to cross 1200. Totally by chance that you timed it when you did. I crossed 1200 and, in the split-second between getting credited for doing so and getting the shield up, you must have finished the match. I got the 1200 progressive reward, so I finished my match before you hit me. But then dropped back before my shield went up. That also is why you got credited for more points than what it showed. I had beaten Slobofix for 35 points in the interim, so was worth more points to you as a result. I think I won 35 and dropped 40, for a net of -5 during the 5 minutes that I was unshielded.

GumisK, the leader of X-Poles alliance, player since beta, is leaving MPQ. He was thinking about it for a couple of days, but this last thing finally made him made up his mind:

He was just pushing from 900 to 1100, but kept on being beaten. So he finally put on 8hr shield at 950pts. A moment later he gets the info that he was attacked and lost matches for a total of -160 pts. So it means that he basically throw away 150 HP.

Obviously D3 won't address this common problem, as it means more $$$ for them.

I have seen a drastic increase at the amount of hits are coming in from sub 600 point teams. Even when I had an 8 hour shield on. 6 hours into that, I got attacked by someone with right at 500 points. They got 40 some odd points off the shield.

I had mentioned something similar earlier in the thread. Not only are sub point teams seeing you faster AFTER coming out of shield....Some of them apparently can still see us while shielded.

Hence my change to one match only after coming out of shield right now. Especially in this tourny.

Show me those teams, and I will be happy to grind them - not like they are going to fight back 90% of the time and they have definitely less HP then 2x141 + 212 Laken

@reckless...are you shielded now? Not that I really think my poor team has a chance against yours, but damn, that's a 45 point node . I may have to at least try, though will probably lose my lunch money.
