  • What is your problem?
    Why is everyone complaining here?
If you are not able to compete in the event, you should not cry here in the forum.
    I have 25k right now,rank 3th in main and 1st in sub.
So it is possible to reach the top!

Good for you. Now go get yourself some level 395-400 enemies and enjoy your points

This point grinding (which I have done very little of and won't be doing much more) for point inflation grinding sake is not fun.

Well, the board description does directly encourage complaints about scaling. We're only trying to oblige.
  • sheesh so much drama o-O.....

this is why i just go with the flow, if i can't do it, it is a sign i must improve. I love this game too much to get away from it! Feel the luvs!!!!!!!!

    You know you want to....

I just nailed one node that was buffed to level 70s, with my Thor buffed to 107, MMags buffed to only 54 and Chawky only buffed to 46. It was Crazy. It was against Yelena, Moonstone and a Spy. Yeah Girl Power got wiped out by my amazingness, but only untill it gets worse xD but i might not do much anymore

Chawky? Either way, D3 is doing their best to remove the possibility of improvement, in both PVE and PvP

Sorry I'm used to giving some heroes and villians nicknames. Chawky for Classic Hawkeye, Torchy for Human Torch, even Joki or Hoki Poki for Loki (Joki because d3 made him a joke in this game and Hoki Poki well kinda like Hocus Pocus for his magic)

Anyway i was just trying to lighten the mood. PErhaps eventually they will see what they have done and fix this up. For me just the PvE has screwed me up for now. PvP not yet, I'm still working on leveling characters as im doing PvP until I'm put up against teams I can't fight yet
  • Just tossed some numbers and calculations around in the Tower tracking thread.

Given current pacing (unrealistic to maintain as it is U.S. prime time), the sub should be closed by late afternoon EDT tomorrow.

WIth a more average pacing of 6m/hour, the sub is tracking for early evening, EDT tomorrow. That said, I believe that this is the barest acceptable minimum pace for the devs to allow. If scaling drops the completion pace below this number, I am reasonably sure that the devs will inject points into the sub. The target appears to be about 28 hours +/2 for the Oscorp repeatable pins. This would grant three scoring cycles on the final pins of the event, which would utterly eliminate any purpose for playing the subs except to determine who will be the global main bracket leader to calculate everyone's rubberbanding scores.

Just like Whose Line Is It Anyway, all the points in the event don't matter in the subs. All that matters is the last nine pins and the TaT horse race to the finish.

** Side note: I am reasonably suspicious/confident that these pins will behave as a fresh third sub that has been community scaled for 5 days (unless personal scaling bug/issues override this). On my screen, community base scaling has easy track nodes ranging in the 60s, with the lowest (only) hard track node that is currently visible at 90 currently on the Oscorp map.

Scaling is finally reaching the point where godmode patch is actually having party wipes. Hopefully it'll keep rising quicker, to get rid of some of these 1->2* transition people that are clogging up my top 10 main brackets

This whole event is FUBAR. Why does every Heroic seem to get so messed up?

I feel like I'm in the worst possible situation. I had opened the first sub and done one clear, but was waiting on rubber-banding to avoid messing up my MMR (which has repeatedly had me at 395s, but that I tanked in the last PVE to keep reasonable). As a result, my main bracket is one of the ones that has a huge disparity between scores. The people who ground the event before the change in points are far ahead. Even after I did two clears of the second sub, I'm still 5000 points behind.

Second, my MMR was not great, but also not horrible because I had managed it in the last event by not pushing for top-10 finishes in the last subs. After two clears of the first sub-event, my highest levels were 136. Then my alliance mates who were at 395 got their levels nerfed to 120. Mine stayed at 136. So they actually dropped to levels below mine. Now my Overwatch levels are 198/199 while theirs remain significantly lower. I'm glad Demiurge did something about their crazy scaling (and would have liked it when I was hit with it in previous events), but something seems wrong with reducing the levels of only certain players and not everyone, especially when those with the higher MMRs are reduced to levels below players who previously were 200+ levels lower.

I'm currently 79th in my main bracket and seriously doubt that whatever D3 comes up with at the end will fix these problems. I've never finished a PVE outside the top-10 and often place top-2, but I will be very lucky to reach the top-30 to get both Daken covers. This is just inexcusable.
  • I've been grinding most of the nodes I can beat to 1 point and am still barely out of top 10 in this sub, seems everyone is grinding lol

I'm glad that you are doing so well in this, as is your alliance. Good luck to you through the end. One day, you too will encounter many of the issues longer term players have encountered, even ones not so long term.

These are very real issues being discussed in this thread, not a bunch of idiots with no clue crying our eyes out. Once you have invested as much time, effort and money into this game, then you can freely say and do as you please.

But even then, having a little dignity is always classy. Coming in to try to slap the rest of us and point some fingers, then turn around and boast about how great you are doing, I strongly suggest you refrain from being so arrogant, as it's not an overly becoming attribute, and certainly not any type of enduring quality.

Back on topic. I have my concerns about this new proposed change and how it will impact everyone. I only hope that it doesn't get even worse, as, from what I know of many of you, we're already in a situation with the cards stacked against us.

Hopefully, you have some decent node values left, and hopefully, scaling will not wind up being the death of us all.

Also, thanks to Aaron, Lyrian, Vairelone, Amanda, Morgh, Meto, Sumilea, and others for all of their diligence in the charting of progress in the thread for the subs. That has been a big help to many of us.

Well all of us were thrown for a HUGE loop when they introduced the new system. And since no one from D3 bothered to explain to anyone what was going on, it fell to us (all of us forumites) to investigate, hypothesize and figure this **** out so that we could stand a chance.

And thank you for the props! I was just glad to be able to contribute to our community here.

After grinding them down to 1, are you letting them sit the full 12 hour refresh rate so you are maximizing your points, not to mention scaling since if you are waiting a full 12 hours, at least a few people will pass you in the ranks.

    Incredibly well said reckless.

I have the same issue. I had done my first clear at the very beginning, then was going to wait for rubber banding to kick in. Then once the changed the scores/point values, that's when the major point difference became so apparent.

Had we done what we know not to do, and would have grinded every single node to 1 in the very beginning, we'd probably be in the lead now. But because we didn't, and because they abruptly changed the progress goal, then the point values, we, like so many other on here were basically screwed.

I just hope, truly, that whatever they plan to do now doesn't completely put in final nail in the coffin for some of us. It's hard to fathom their reasoning for doing the adjustments they made after the event had already started. It's even harder to fathom the lack of information we have moving forward.

I just informed the alliance that I'm in to come here to the forum, and to try to read as much of this thread as possible, as these changes effect all of us, every player, one way or the other. It's not about you or me, or this alliance or that one.

So...best of luck on your side, and best of luck to all of you facing this too. I too am sitting about 5k back from my bracket leader, even after doing some nodes even more than I usually would. It's going to be interesting to see where this all winds up.

    Well you've done, young skywalker...
  • Hmm... I think I'm doing well in this 'round'. I've got 7700 points, and am in 26th place in Tower. In 37th in the Main with 19314 points. Right now for me, the nodes in Tower are

    EASY
    Aerial Patrol - 56/56/56
    Best Friends Forever - 50/51/50

    NORMAL
    Catch Him Monologuing - 62/62/62
    No More Games - 62/63/63
    Knock Knock - 67/68/68
    What's in the Box? - 64/65/64

    HARD
    Overwatch - 129/129/129
    Enhanced Interrogation - 118/119/119

    DEADLY
    Quinjet Prototype - 155/155/155

I'll give about an hour or so so it's close to 12 hours before I go through the Easy and Normal nodes. I'll probably try the lower of the two Hard nodes, then MIGHT give the Deadly one a try since it's all goons and no characters. Been sticking to going through every node once, then waiting for a refresh. Still hoping I'll be able to get myself into the Top 30 and stay there.

Just finished my penultimate refresh, so if you could just let that sub run for about 15 hours more so I didn't completely ruin my scaling for nothing trying to catch up?
    Thank you, devs.
