Until the last refresh they had also been clearing most of the nodes but they behind on this one.

I dropped from 3rd - after doing my refresh yesterday - to 30th over 12hours so I skipped my morning refresh and will rubber band back over the next couple.

Currently we doing about 1M points an hour slower than this time on Friday.

And if D3 wants to control the speed of the bracket one sneaky way would be a them using a switch that added in points continuous every 5 minutes say and none would even know icon_twisted.gif

They can't really add points, we'd be able to reach the top progression rewards, which is clearly not intended. Scores currently seem to be increasing at about 2k per refresh. If this rate continues, some players might actually get to the 35k progression reward. That's more than anything we got the past few months, so it's unlikely we'll see even more.

That's not what would happen we see no increase in points and not reach any higher in the progression rewards its just the bar fills up faster than the amount of points the players put into it. Its the same as reducing the points needed by 50Million say without it being that obvious to the users.

I spoke to soon JimboJim24 just added nearly 4K to their total, in under an hour to boot, so they are nearly 5.5K clear at 27K now at this rate he make 35K in the next two refreshes.

Okay, I see, just continually feeding points into the global total score. Sneaky. I'd even consider that a good approach, wouldn't mess up players timing their refresh.

I reported him a month ago for check -- as he's still around must be the Yanukovych's nephew or someone similar printing the money.

Can't he be the boss's son?
  • So much for repeatable missions in the main event so that we can rubber band back from the starting boost. Even if we unlock it after the tower we'll only get in a couple resets at most.

Well yeah, that was always the plan, to limit the refreshes on the main map severely.
After people ended up with three times the points needed for maximum progression rewards in PVE (the Brotherhood event, was it?) we know it's not a good idea to have repeatable main missions for three days.
  • So the guy who was leading my main by 3K points just after the points snafu is now in 8th place and 3K points behind Dayv who is my new main's leader. So either the former leader has given up completely or the changes are now working as intended.

For the record, it rained most of the weekend so my garden looks only marginally better, but the lawn is cut and the front rosebush has been freshly mangled.

I doubt it's the later one. I've grinded hard in this pve hoping to catch up, but the leader in the main bracket still has 3k lead , just like 3 days ago.
And thanks to the scaling, now im facing lvl190s.
If I can't get all 3 daken covers in the end even with my hard grinding, I'll send tickets after tickets to them.

That sucks, you were so excited about the gardening! It was beautiful all day Sunday where I am so I spent the day belting homers and bbq'ing for my Mom. It's like I've been freed from a parasite with the screwed up PVE and the terrible PVP bracketing changes!!

with about 1% an hour, there's still 50 hours left to complete the sub-bracket - and we are left with only 61 hours of the event... this would mean that we'll get only a single refresh of the repeatable nodes (which would suck... a lot icon_e_wink.gif)
However... I seriously think that it's going to accelerate since some rubberbanding kicks in and working hours are just ending in Europe and still not over in US - so we might get 2 refreshes after this sub-bracket but those will have to be timed really strictly to take advantage of the RB

For the other sub the last 50mil were gathered at a faster pace, probably it's going to be like that for this one too... But yeah, I don't expect more than 2-3 refreshes for those las repeatable missions.

We in Europe are always slow. Last Friday between 3 and 4 CET 6.8 Million the same as the last complete hour today which is 1.5% an hour. At that rate there 30 hours left and we took 27 hours from the 200 million point in the first sub. So lets say its even takes 36 hours from now that's still a full 24 hours in just the main.

It is not going to take another 50 hours the sub been running for 41 and its already over half done.

Anything below 24 hours is still only 2 refreshes :<

We are in the same bracket and I noticed the same thing. I'm always around 3k behind the leader and I'm not able to catch up.
  • These nodes could've really used some 'one-time', ISO completion rewards. This event has been pretty ISO-poor.
  • The rubberbanding is working intended like the devs said. It's just 'working intended' this time means doing all the nodes at least 3 times every refresh, especally if you're in a bracket against an early starter, and that's a lot more than what people are used to. But in general the new weaker rubberband requires that kind of effort to just keep pace with the normal bracket leader let alone one that has an extra 4000 point head start.

On the flip side since a lot of people can't capable of doing that you also see less people sneaking up on you if you are able to keep pace with the leader.
  • Ok, I'm kinda giving up on this event but just want an opinion.

I'm currently 54 in my sub bracket with 5,9k points. Sub leader has 9,6k.
Currently 127 in my main bracket with 18k points. Main bracket leader has 23k.
Overwatch is giving me 411 points, everything else is giving less. I'm only timing my essential refreshes.

Question is, should I even bother with grinding the sub? Or just wait for the magical repeatable nodes in the main?

Depends on where you aim, the rubberbanding is light and conservative estimates say 2 refreshes in main max, possibly just one... so you will not have much chance to catch up very likely.
