OSCORP HEROIC - MAY 8-14

When I went to sleep, the City sub was only just at 70% completion, when I woke up the sub had already changed and I had dropped from ~#20 to the 76-100 bracket (2 standard tokens). I guess that's the price I pay for not living in the USA.
In the main I've dropped from ~#50 to #200, even after one full clear of the new Tower sub.
Thankfully, my PvE MMR seems ridiculously low - I'm still only facing Trivial matches and I have a max Patch. I'm not sure if I should just grind everything down to 1 point. It would certainly be more than possible for me, and I guess it would drive up community scaling. I think I'll wait til the repeatable nodes show up in the main and just annihilate those.
If I'm lucky, my alliance will hold on to top 150 somewhere and I'll still manage 1 Daken cover from this.0 -
The sub ended at a reasonable time for me and I am in the uk. It's not a perfect system but it was more reasonable then 4/5am0

And his roster is lvl 85 Magneto, 85 Thor, 69 C.A, 43 Wolv... doesnt even have M.Storm _-_
That is the type of Sub that you want. You do not want to be in a sub that is not being pushed efficiently else you have to rely onIceIX wrote:Rubber banding for sub events isn't a pure 100% relation to the sub bracket overall leader. ..... To prevent this, each sub has somewhat muted relations to the overall sub bracket leader.
If the leaders in your main are in subs that are pushing well you will have a hard time keeping up since you do not need the points to win the sub but you do need them to stay in contact with the main. And with subs only of size 200 or so you need a bit of luck.
I joined a sub after the finish of the last ones and will do a hard push the first run I plan to do in an hour or so - (need to get the 12H refresh in step for work for monday) see if I can get a lively sub going. Should also mean that the people that joined and where going to wait for 10 hours before their first clear should get a boost from my total.0 -

I'm in Australia, so I'm well accustomed to being screwed on timing. Progression per hour had slowed down so much over the course of my day + evening, and I hadn't fully expected it to accelerate so fast while I was asleep. However, in any other event I'd be able to plan a comeback. I was already trying to plan a comeback after the initial SNAFU, but now I don't see how that's possible.0 -
This is absolutely painful. I am doing mission after mission in the Tower and just reached 500 points. Low rank. Top 10 are 2000 - 3000 points.0

Same here. I only played a few nodes in the Tower and they're not worth more than 200-300 points. Yet I'm almost 10,000 points behind the leader in my main bracket. I didn't even join on the first day when all those issues started so that can't be the problem.0 -

I was going to start and push the rubber band in the first refresh of my sub however. My sub leader is on 4064 my rubber band scaling is 1.466 so max node is 352 meaning I need 3800 non scaled points to reach my leader. To get those points of the 45 nodes possible I would need to do the highest 30 nodes - i.e everything over a base value of 50. If I hit every nodes to 1 I would have a 460 point lead.
Hence I will pull that gap in over a couple of refreshes in about 12 hours time.
The rubber band is even slacker than I thought you need to be 3K points behind for it to scale by 1 so you need to be 27K points plus whatever the constant bit is, which is at least 2600 just going of my sub.So I would guess a nice round 30K
That is to much math for a Sunday morning off to cook some bacon sandwiches0 -

Ok, possibly dumb question.
Are the refreshes on a set time table? 12am and 12pm.
Or are they personal refreshes? If I play last at 1pm, at 1am they will refresh?0 -
Hi Ghast, do you want to join the second sub together and rubberband each other up ?0

That is correct.0 -

I cheat a little, have a piece of FORTRAN code which works all this stuff out for me.0 -

The 141 patch just runs the show himself the other things should just not get in the way...0 -
Not much progress -- I wonder how devs will interrupt if the target is not reached 1d before event end...
I expected the first sub end at least 6h earlier with last 50M points covered really fast but it didn't happen, with 20-30M to go it even slowed down considerably, only last 10M went fast.
Though community scaling reached the level at end of last sub in 12h overall points are pretty low.0 -
Not sure why rubberbanding is still based on the subs for this instead of the main bracket leader.
The player leading my bracket (currently by 5k), with the following usable characters: 60 MNMags, 50 Mstorm, 37 Thor, 15 Patch.
My highest node in my sub? 353.
I can probably win my sub, or top 10 it if I want. I scraped up to top 20 in the City sub. So even doing some of the grinding that the devs came in and said would fix things for us... I'll still likely be locked out of 3 color rewards.0 -
I must say, even though I played way more than I'm comfortable with to catch up, scaling seems alright.
My highest node is Overwatch, with a 128 Ares, which is still easy mode with a maxed Patch.
So if scaling gets reset by some margin again for the next PVE this should be OK.
I guess the problem with people still seeing level 300+ enemies is that internally the levels go up way above 400, but it's only shown up to 400 (or 395), so that for some those level 395 nodes probably represented level 800s or something. After the reduction they went down to 500something, which still shows as 395?
That's the only explanation I can think of.0 -

My scaling has been pretty awesome, too. Rampage got up to 140 in the end, which wasn't too bad, and it seemed like most of that was community scaled, anyway. Overwatch just barely above 100 right now. I hit the first sub really hard, too, to try catching up in my main.0 -
So far, I've done all of the nodes in Tower twice. Once when the subevent first opened around 6 PM EST, and then a little while ago. So far, I only have 3300 points. With how slowly the points are refreshing in the nodes, I really wonder how much time after we manage to beat this one... assuming we do before time runs out.0

Franckynight, I just can't get away from you! We're in the same main for Heroic Oscorp as well. I guess MPQ wants us to get accustomed to seeing each other...0
