So it _is_ actually possible to catch up, but it requires a whole lot of luck to get perfect timing on unpredictable refreshes.
In my main, 13 629 would only probably get top 20 (not top 10 for sure).

best team for this event according to me is patch storm and thor
with a maxed patch he will tank all exept black.
you use patch green, thors yellow and storms red and boom all enemys are dead exep for the node with jug ven dak.

That's the team you've been going with?

I've been trying to figure it out between Patch, Storm, Thor, and MN Mags. I just like having Mag's purple power to make crit tiles. I'd say the overload of blue is nice, but then I'm just stuck with his blue power.

I have a max'd 3/5/5 Thor, a 1/2/5 50 Patch (Gotta love always getting yellow covers. icon_razz.gif ) and max'd 5/5/3 M Storm. I'll have to try out that group. And I'll have to work on Lvling up my Patch... and hopefully getting more green and Red covers. What is the best build for Patch? I like healing every turn, but the amount is just too insignificant to keep his yellow at 5.

I'm a fan of the 3,5,5 build. His healing at max level is actually quite good, basically no damage from normal matches, the red is strong enough to one shot most characters (close on maxed hulk, Thor) and with 3 green you only have to worry about the enemy have 3 strike tiles on pinks which if you time right with the board setup you can wipe out in 1 or 2 turns

That's my sub score, I'm at 14212 for the main.
  • I stopped paying attention to this event after the 400M incident but now I'm curious, how refreshes work? Are they based on number of points instead of 8-12h?
  • So you guys gonna go right at it once the new event start?

    Its a straight 12H refresh
  • 1.5 million left. Next time I start my push with 10 million left instead of 15.

Well, by pure, dumb luck it seems I timed my last two refreshes perfectly icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Mind: blown.

Probably going to slip down a bit in the main since the sub isn't done yet, but that 9000 point gap has shrunken down to 800 points, and I'm actually 500 points ahead of #10.

So this really could be salvageable and I just might get two Daken covers out of this mess after all.
Scaling is going to hurt, but since I already caught up I can go back to playing minimal missions again, so it _should_ be ok.

Oh and I'll probably get top 2 in the sub, which wasn't intended, but I'll take it.

I did NOT get my last two refreshed right - so around 800 points short of what I could have done however

Currently 14th in Main bracket on 14256 but its quite close between there and 30th. So yes if you but some effort in you could make the gap up.

I'm probably going to go through all of the nodes in it once, then wait 12 hours or so to go through 'em again, I guess.

I know I won't be able to get to the Top 10 with the values the nodes in City have for me, so I'm just settling for Top 50 and hoping I get a Green or Red Patch cover from my Oscorp pack.
  • I stopped pushing in my bracket. Only half cleared it and no one is even attempting to pursue me. Well over 500 point lead over 2nd, with the top 10 not even trying at this point.

There is no point to push up scaling even higher on the global parent event for only double digit points in the sub.
  • Boom, done. New main nodes open.

Yup, That last 10 million dragged on a **LOT** longer than I thought it would as well. Played more matches than I wanted to before being comfortable with my placement in the sub.

Yeah, I was affected too in my main. Around 1000 off from the leader now, so I'm sure I'll just be a day or so away from completely catching up or passing.

I also had it pretty awesomely timed, too. My missions refreshed around 2 hours before the end of the sub, leaving me enough time to not be anxious and also get a few good battles in.
  • The units I have in this event I can use are:

    85 MN Thor 3/5/5
    70 MN Mags 4/4/5
    50 M Cap 4/5/4
    50 M Storm 5/5/3
    50 Patch 1/2/5

What do you guys think would probably be the best team to go with? I usually end up using MN Mags with Cap since Mags' Purple can feed into Cap's stun power.
  • i was top 5 in my sub with over 11K. I have a little over 12K in my main. Leader in my main has almost 18K. Despite coming close to winning my sub, I was only able to cut the lead in my main from 8000 to ~5500.

Don't know which one of Ice's case studies I am, but I remain highly dubious about the devs' math.

Those repeatable nodes in the main better be pretty freaking valuable.
  • Oh I'm really glad Patch is still in the essential nodes. Gives me a fighting chance.
Now I'm wondering if it's better to enter the sub now or later....

You probably got a less screwed up main. Mine is sitting close to 17k. icon_e_sad.gif
