Ice has said that community scaling will reset for each sub, or is it personal too?
2Ice: can you at least promise to completely reset personal scaling after this fail event? Ideally before each sub, of course.
edit: if my Rampage node is at 128 now, is it community scaling? Levels at 'Daken' in main increased from 60-ish to 67.
It's community because I have a similar level node0 -
So I've clawed my way to top 75 after this refresh, so maybe, possibly, I'll at least get one Daken cover out of this mess.
Since this sub will be ending sometime between 2 and 5 am CET and there's no way to know exactly when, I have two options: stay up all night, or just grind the hell out of this before going to sleep sometime after midnight.
Thanks for making event times even WORSE for Europeans with that progress bar - now I don't even have exact end times to set my alarm for.0 -

Alternatively, there's always Cartman's approach from the WoW episode of South Park. "MAAAAAAWMMMM!!! BAAAATHROOOOM!!!"
Though if you're playing on your phone/tablet, isn't that problem already solved?0 -

Currently I was thinking closer to the end of that range however yesterday between 10 and 11 CET we added 4M points today we did 5.2M I wonder if this increase over yesterdays numbers continues. Yesterday morning was really slow well below the 6.4 Million average after the points got downgraded. So you might be right and its going to be closer to 2am CET0 -
I don't really remember how the last heroics worked... will Patch be the required character for all the essential nodes, or will we need the other featured 3* as well (IM40 and Psylocke)? Or is this event too different to predict?0

Can't say 100% for sure, this is the first heroic that has been run in this specific way with subs.
My guess based on the main bracket setup and previous heroics is that Patch will be the only recipient of the 'megabuff', and that he will have required nodes in each sub. It's possible they might throw in a mix of required nodes though, eg 1 of each for patch/IM40/psylocke.0 -

Well the events so different from the last one I am going to say its anyones guess. Do we have 2 subs (city and tower) or will there be a another unmentioned one for the last 36 hours - assuming tower also lasts 2.5 ish. Will more repeatable nodes unlock after we complete Tower? SWAG all round!0 -

Ares - Analyst - Soldier --- Ares can make fast work of most teams on his own, and he's getting fed red and green. The Suppressing Fire steals Red, Yellow, and Green. It's nearly impossible to get any sort of board control down in time to prevent the Suppressing Fire.
At level 190, I can barely pull this one off. It's possible to do level 218 with boosts, barely.0 -

I really, really hope that's the case. Out of the 18 available 3*, not counting the new Daken, I'm missing three - and IM and Psylocke are two of them I'd be really bummed if I couldn't get a decent chance at a reward that's useful for me (i.e. top 75...), just because those are the exact two necessary later on!0 -

Okay I dragged myself to top 10 with 12095 after that last 1/2 push - I have my nodes split as I think the refresh in 4 hours time is going to be inside the last 12h so I have to hold off doing them until nearer the end.
I am still some 1300 behind the leader in the main, who is on 13439, and seem to be holding fast and since the zero scaling on the rubber band seems to be for within 2500 points of the leader that is not going to get pulled in unless they mess up the final refresh timings.
I fairly sure I got the first cover in the bag the second going to require some good timing on my part I think and depends how the other people in the current top 100 are playing. My scaling still sort of okay. I am also going by the just win route and use health packs. Rampage is sat at 130 currently so still very doable I am using a lvl 6 cap to stun ares to "configure" how much damage my team takes.0 -
Okay, there's something really weird going on with scaling this time. Nodes increase in level, all at once, no matter how you play, around every 10 fights, give or take a little. And there doesn't seem to be any way around it. This is *not* community scaling, this is some new personal mechanism that wasn't around the previous events. Could somebody from D3 *please* shed some light on this? At the current rate, those who have to grind nodes to catch up to the bungled scores will have utter hell breaking lose towards the end.0

That makes a great sig too. Looks like one as it is.0 -

I'm in one of those fubared 3-7PM EST brackets. I did a good amount yesterday to go from 500 up to 150. Overnight dropped down to 300 but have a refresh I can play before the sub goes away. I'm still 6k behind the leaders. My Rampage has gone from under 70 when I started Thursday night, up to 132 this morning. I have played that node twice. It's worth a whopping 498 points.
Pretty sure this magical fix of extending the rewards bracket isn't going to help me unless rubberbanding kicks in with more vigor and/or the people above me get scaled out of playing anymore.0 -
Moghwyn wrote:Nope, personal scaling used to be based on your perceived gameplay performance. I did some more testing, I'm somewhat convinced this new mechanism is based on the total number of missions you have either won or lost during the event. It always seems to kick in after about a dozen fights, even if you lose. Not sure if retreating counts towards that number.
If you lose a dozen fights and the scaling goes up then the system is foobared0 -
Is this possible? the overall leader in my main bracket has 12K points with an eligible roster of:
MNThor 69/3/3/5
MNMags 29/2/2/2
Patch 18/0/1/1
Psylocke 15/0/1/0
even if the person was the beneficiary of the points glitch, that seems hard to do....0 -
Everyone is waiting for the bar to fill up.. and no one is filling it up
Im waiting for at least 380m/400 to start0
