They just don't understand that removing the cp from progression is the most stupid thing they can do.
People who like this don't realise they are actually taking rewards away from everyone and it's just stupid to put the cp in t10 only placement. The scores will be pushed up even higher now.
Plus alot of the big roosters are going to spend more time beating up on lower rosters so enjoy1 -
Changes to Fury and Psylocke seem mostly positive, and I'm okay with the change to win-based progression because I was barely going past 575 already anyway.

Really the whole progression based PvP and wins based PvP should have been separate things you could enter. So when 85% of the PvP player base went to win based, progression based PvP players would complain of it being too hard now.
You have high level rosters playing lower level shield ranks to feed on weak rosters. Most join late so less shielding needed. Joining a PvP based event right as it starts is just asking to spend resources for a few days to hold a spot. Wins based means you can get to a certain reward without losing progression towards that reward. As for top placement for 15 cp....i mean points still matter, and it is PvP, so if you want it bad enough, better play for it.

I can say I am very disappointed with D3 on the progression based PVP. For all the players who have developed 5* rosters to score high in PVP you made PVP significantly more difficult to reward 4* to more players. You have taken the CP that 5* players are earning and are giving them to the rest of the player base. The worst thing about this is you never adjusted the test when run and you never tried a hybrid system of 40 wins or 900 points. 1200 points or top 10. You have intestinally ignored the feedback from a player base that has put more money into the game than any other tier in the game to make PVP into PVE. PvP will now be a grind, it will be mandatory for high end players to start the event ASAP to ha e any chance at hitting 40 wins. PVP did need to change, but the fact that you won’t open up MMR or look at hybrid rewards just killed PVP for many players. Thanks for giving us the middle finger.13

Either revert back to current system, or
reduce max progression requirement to 30 wins, and keep the 15 CP reward in progression.
40 wins is way too many, and will just result in the newbies getting hit much more often, and having 15 CPs in t10 will drive the TOP scores way up and just continue to make the stronger players even stronger!
Brigby, pls have some good news to announce tomorrow on the max progression requirement and most critically, on keeping he 15 CPs in progression.0 -

progression based rewards in PvP. From popular opinion I dissent. Its tinykitty great! i got more rewards than ever before. It was way more flexible for me. I played in PvP throught the entirity of the event; not just at the seeds and the finish. I could switch over from PvE (aka dark avenger deja vu) and play a few matches while letting my grindsquad rest. My teams were more creative, and I saw more apealing matchups.
it seems like there gon be more casual marks for the competetive players/alliances to hunt, and placement rewards are still there. is all this sourpussing cuz they feel like they might haveta put in more time?, maybe, for just the shield hoppers, i guess... but only cuz you say so, not for any empirical evidence(aka but I could get 900 in 11 matches!) and if half the PvP players quit that's gotta be good for all those pVp ettiquette/bullying threads.
Since around C&d and then lockjaw and the xmen I have been fanboy crushing on the characters(mostly) I spent more money during the anniversary than all my previous vip and logans combined. If they keep up these character rebalances, and continue improving the boss events they are going to get more of my money because I think they are doing a good job.
This update looks like 3 solid wins. and Nightcrawler(+boosts) soon!

I think the people who like this are the people who struggle with the climb from 700 to 900. I'd rather play extra battles than worry about shield hopping to get the 4*.
I think they should have released SL9 for PVP at the same time, and give the CP to the t50 there. It's not that much of a stretch, considering PVE CL9 gives 4* to t50.5 -

40 wins for a 2+ day pvp event isn't much. 40 wins when you join with 2hours left, yeah, probably pretty difficult.3

This really does weaken the team play aspect. This element had become something of an integral part of my raison d'être for playing, as I'm sure is the same for many others. Once you have yours, there's less incentive to help the team score.
After nearly 4 years, I may be out.4 -
I see, scratch that suggestion to incl wins from retals then.
But, they really have to do something about putting the 15 CPs back into progression.

i will concede that it is removing 15 cp from my future self that could hit 1200 (for openness i hit my first 1200 in this past off season) in those future events is pretty sucky. but i still think that this is best for the long term health of the game.
don't believe me? you have your roster in your signature. 46 champed 3*, 41 champed 4*, and four champed 5*.
now go create an all new account. Knowing what you know, with your alliance connections, knowledge of good versus bad characters, how and when to hoard which tokens and any other little tidbit that would give you a leg up on another new player. under the current system, how long until you have a comparable roster? how long would it take for someone without your insight?
now try to tell me with a straight face that a new person can't get there a little bit quicker just by grinding out 40 wins an event and getting all those 4* that much quicker.
again, i am in the same boat, so it sucks. but looking at the big picture? i just shrug my shoulders and play my matches, and get 4* cover and stop.8
