Time Gem Season Updates *Updated (10/19/17)

Update: Added additional information about character updates, Time Gem season's max progression rewards, and adjustment of System Reboot Iso-8 values.

Hi Everyone,
For the upcoming Time Gem Versus Season, Rogue (Classic) will be entering Latest 4-Star status, and Riri Williams (Ironheart) will be entering Vintage 4-Star status. Gambit (Modern) will be added to packs.
There will be two characters receiving a character update this Versus Tournament Season: Nick Fury (Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Psylocke (Classic). System Reboot is coming back with a chance to earn Iso-8 and a random cover for each of these characters!
*We have adjusted the System Reboot Iso-8 rewards to their appropriate values, so that they no longer reflect the promotional amount that was present during the inaugural event.
Level 270, at power level 5:
Power now costs 10 Yellow AP (Down from 12). Each power level adds an additional Avenger without requiring additional AP.
*New Update*
Director Fury summons Earth’s mightiest heroes. Shield in hand, Captain America leads the charge with Iron Man, charged and locked on, Hawkeye, aiming to win, Hulk, hungry to smash, and Black Widow, set up to stun.

Escape Plan
Power now costs 11 AP (down from 12). Initial damage has been increased while the amount of AP stolen, Strike tile strength and Countdown tile duration has been lowered.
*New Update*
Enemy intel stolen, Nick Fury leads his team to safety. Deals 6,224 damage and creates a 2-turn Countdown tile that, when activated, steals 6 AP from the enemy's strongest color before converting to a strength 180 Strike tile.
Level 166, at power level 5:
Damage has been increased significantly. Strike tile strength has been increased.
*New Update*
Psylocke gains momentum, fluidly chaining attacks together. Deals 2,808 damage and creates a strength 270 Red Strike tile whenever fewer than 3 exist. Costs 1 less for each Red Strike tile (min cost 5).
Bewilder
Now steals 4 AP from the enemy’s strongest color pool. Increases the strength of 3 random Friendly Strike, Protect, or Attack tiles.
*New Update*
Psylocke steadies and channels her telepathic power, reaching into the minds of the enemy to disrupt their attack. Creates a 3-turn Blue Countdown tile that steals up to 4 AP from the enemy's largest color pool and increases the strength of up to 3 random friendly Strike, Protect, or Attack tiles by 165
Psi-Katana
No Changes.
Based on this information, we have determined that the previous iteration of Progression Rewards Based on Wins was ultimately a good structure that offered players flexibility in play-time, while still providing the elements necessary to drive competitive spirit.
Starting with the Time Gem Season, all Versus Events will now give progression rewards based on how many wins you complete (instead of Points). This includes S.H.I.E.L.D. Simulator and Season Rewards.

We received a lot of feedback from players, both in the forum and through the results of these test events.Based on this information, we have determined that the previous iteration of Progression Rewards Based on Wins was ultimately a good structure that offered players flexibility in play-time, while still providing the elements necessary to drive competitive spirit.
Starting with the Time Gem Season, all Versus Events will now give progression rewards based on how many wins you complete (instead of Points). This includes S.H.I.E.L.D. Simulator and Season Rewards.
*New Update*
- The top progression reward for S.H.I.E.L.D. Simulator is a Green Rogue (Classic) cover. (Earned at 74 wins)
- The top progression reward for the Time Gem Versus Season is 15 Command Points. (Earned at 340 wins)

Every single move you make proves more and more that you care more about people playing and not at all about what competition for placement looks like, first in pve with the 5* essential node and now this. Why is there any placement award at all, at this point?6

You're kidding right? Wins based progression provides flexibility? How so? Explain how that works? We have to win more matches to make progression. You can't start later coz you can't make the 40 wins. What exactly is flexible about this?10

Getting a full 25cp better be among the full progression awards for everyone. Your tests limited full cp attainability to only those who won Top 10.
It seems like the intent is to slow the rate of cp down.....19 -
Wow! This is such a stupid idea... just plain stupid. The game is supposed to be fun, not a chore that requires hours of play everyday.11

@Talus9952 I won't speak for others but it's certainly more flexible for me (and the removal of the Sisyphean torture I usually run into in the 800s on the few occasions I've pushed for 900 will help as well).

I really hope the progression marks are a little lower than they were on the tests, but I doubt that will be the case.
Guess this means I'll be joining slices as they start instead of at a day left, to get a Seed Teams jump on the wins.5 -
Looking forward to the update fury, if I am reading this correctly the hero summoned with the yellow is now dependent on the covers slotted not if you have 5 ap in each color. If this is the case this has increased his utility a lot and might be a suitable partner for Sandman. Any change to Psyloc is welcome is blue still a countdown, if not, this will be a definite improvement as well she might be 5/5/3 now Thanks for the continued work of updated older characters.4

Wow, I thought they'd at least lower the number of wins for a 4* from 40 to something more reasonable like 25 or 30. But I guess the data showed otherwise...2

Garbage idea that you were constantly told was garbage, but implemented anyway because you don't care about input from your player base anyway. Only about the amount of time spent on your game.
I'm going to go ahead and assume you didn't lower any of the progression rewards either, so what used to be 20ish wins max for a 4* cover for me will be double that now.
I am never spending money on this game again.9 -
They could of done both. Either PvP as normal or you get progression at 40 wins. But no that would of made to much sense.3

This decision sucks. This makes the game so much worse for your most loyal and dedicated players. You could fix it easily by making it an either/or reward structure.
I'm done spending. Hopefully the buy clubs stop for the time being. That'd send a message.7 -

(Not a big PvP player, so I wait to see the reward structure, if it was like it was in the tests, I'm not going to feel welcome in PvP)

Throw a grenade and walk away. Great idea. Make a major change to the game and decide to go home for the night while everybody has questions. 95% of the people I play with, and it's a lot, think the win progression was a terrible idea. The only thing that can save this is if you put the CPs back in here, too bad this wasn't deemed important enough for you to post tonight. Plus do this major change right after the Anniversary and the sales you had. Already got our money now let's make a fundamental change to PVP, which is the money maker for the game. Good luck.

On the plus side - placement will be a lot easier as half the player base is going to delete the app.15

Good job ruining PVP, not much left to destroy at this point.
Let me guess, its still 40 wins and 15 CP is only offered for top10 placement despite about everyone telling you this is a TERRIBLE IDEA so that means its gonna be that.
