Okay, I actually never felt the hate for Psylocke that others expressed. A damage buff to Psychic Knife does sound pretty good though. Eager to see the preview on that Bewilder too. Maybe I should throw both of them (her and Nick more Furious) at Simulator this season, if I’m not immediately greeted by five missions with Grockmora and Medusa for the entire season. With win-basing the Simulator, there’s no need to use maximum cheese power in order to progress. I can actually try out teams, shrug over losses (once I cross the room to pick my phone back up), and move on.5 -
Progression rewards for PVP is just ridiculous. First they came for Heroics which were the only area of PVE that was unique and challenging.....then PVP progression rewards to suck the challenge and risk element out of PVP...
Stripping the game of variety and challenge is so far in the opposite direction from where the game should be 4+yrs in. There should have been a new unique layer of challenge built into the game every year NOT removed. This is development in reverse.
Really nothing else else to say just shake my head and lament a game I loved getting worse and worse...8 -
Whatever. As a casual player give me wins for PVP for rewards all day. I don't shield and I don't have time to play PVP "optimally" so now if I have time and grind out a few wins, great! I don't have to worry about dropping now because of real life. Love the change.12

If you are going to wins based progression can you at least open up the mmr.
Those lower roster players shouldn't complain now, about being hit multiple times in quick succession.
Facing panthos 35 times and non-panthos a few times is..... Good for insomniacs?

The devs are DENSE if they think PVP based wins are ready to be implemented straight into the game.
Regardless as to whether you're for or against the change, it was pretty obvious that it was very rough around the edges and needed some work.
I don't like being given deliberately half-baked game features.3 -

Unless Fury and Psylocke allow us to place the CDs then the buffs are pointless cause they are easily matched.. Fury's escape plan isn't much of an escape plan if his CD is matched right away.
As for PvP Win-Based.. if you truly wanted a flexible system then remove the defense losses!! Twice over the years we got the "We're reducing the pts lost from losses" but it never felt noticeable. We still don't know what our defense team (could be strongest, might be something else) unless we ask fellow alliance players.
Unless they lower the Win requirement and keep the CP, they'll likely lose more players than the OML nerf.5 -
I Psylocke still limited in the number of strike tiles that can be placed? Or alternatively, have some other bonus action if she chooses not to place a strike tile?

Noooooooooooo. Wins take too long especially if you expect us to then climb for alliance reward points and if you make cp for top 10 only. Wins is fine for players that don't have scaling to only see 5 star teams. I don't get to play 3 and 4 star teams. That means I will have to win almost all of those against dual 5 star champed teams. Then I am expected to climb and shield for alliance points and hopefully get top 10 for cp? Most of us play for the cp and get enough points for our alliances. This system requires a bigger time commitment.2

Congrats on your participation trophy 4*'s newbs! Kind of glad I'm going on vacation at the end of the month, now I have no reason to play pvp before I leave.3

This is the worst thing D3 has done yet, and that's really saying something considering all the screw ups over the years. I get in and out of pvp quick, 25 matches AT MOST to get 1200. Now, gonna have to screw around and do nearly double that for no cp I assume? Can't say for sure since we can't even get a proper update with how the new reward structure is going to look.5

So, everyone quit playing PvP for the season. Their number of active players will go down, as will average time in the app. Income will decrease as people no longer buy hp for shields. Then wait and see how long it takes for changes to be made.

So give a big boost to the free to play players and upset those that pay money to shield and be competitive.
Time to abandon VIP and join the $2/month club1 -
The best part of this thread so far is just imagining that D3 would look at the collective spend of those saying yay and comparing that with the spend of any one of those saying ****.
But seems to me that we won't need people to rage quit (though some will) for the spend to go down here. The big boys will save # until final day and due to limits on regen time, will go from 10-15 shields/event to 3-6. Also can spread out matches so no purchase of packs. And even with all that, we'll still pull away from the 3 and 4 star rosters even faster because the CP is going to just the top folks.
Well done boys, reduce the spend on the game, upset your longest, most loyal players the most, and keep the newer transitioning players from being able to get to high-level play.11 -
