Starlord news mislead me a little. Or misread me a little. Thought it was going to be one release after the other. Hope the progress after DPvsMPQ is green Riri. Only color I'm not maxed in.
Progress for Black Vortex is nice too. Hobofist has stayed hungry for green power. A bit more is welcome. I still keep hoping Guardians stuff will be an excuse to add Shadowcat to the game. I mean, Gambit and Rogue are fine and all, but I've had a crush on Kitty since the original Black Queen/Dark Phoenix arc (back when she was older than me!)

Ugh, the ISO drain is awful.

First, a boss event. Fun event, new Boss, new Star Lord(s), but the same problem as other Boss events, in that it doesn't give out as much ISO. Our alliance finished early on Saturday, and I was glad to look forward to a regular event for more normal ISO gains.

Then, that's ruined by Deadpool vs MPQ. 2-day sub events have never been as good about rewards gains as regular sub events. And Deadpool vs MPQ is TWO 2-day sub events back to back.

The new Star Lord event will give a bonus amount of ISO, but I'm not going to get to appreciate it as "extra" ISO, because I'm going to need it to make up for what was "lost" during the Boss and DPvsMPQ.

I got all these nice pretty Nova covers from the boss event, but I'm not going to get to use them because the reward gains are going to be so inconsistent for a week straight.

@Brigby could you bring this kind of thing up to the devs whenever it's convenient? They've made progress slowly over time (adding a second 4* to progression in 7-day events was the most recent one, though 7-day events still don't give out as much CP via progression as two events of 3/4 days respectively, it's still an improvement), but there are areas that still need work. 2-day (or 48-hour) sub events are one of them. Running DP vs the MPQ after a Boss event is like giving away free toys and then being mean and not including the batteries. The stuff the devs think are generous gifts (the chances at 5* Star Lord, the 3* Star Lord covers, having three 4*s available in alliance progression, etc) don't mean anything if they starve us of the ISO to make use of them.

I kinda like it, but yeah, even I groaned when I saw it was up next. You know a good way to keep up the goodwill garnered by the most popular boss event so far? Double ISO!

48h subs are great for a break from time to time. The issue is ISO, not the subs/events. More iso.

Dp vs Mpq is one of my favourite events for the variety of opponents  and nongrindiness. Not going to complain about it even though I'm pretty desperate for iso now.

Don't know what all the whining about Deadpool vs MPQ is about. It's the only purely 48-hr PvE in which you can hit max progression with four full clears of both subs, instead of having to grind a fifth and sixth time

It's not that it's not grindy enough! Dp vs mpq would be great after a week-long event so we would have a nice break!

I like this event very much, it's only second to strange sights as normal pve go!

The ISO cutback is a very real issue!
Not much during a boss event and not much in two 48h subs.

The timing is just not ideal for those who are struggling with iso! And having to waste covers just because you don't have enough iso stings! Even more so when it's because of a less than optimal sequencing of events

And having 48 hour subs means less iso, but easier to manage climbs at season end.  And some alliances that are still trying for Thanos goals will find that easier to balance too.  AND the iso from Star Lord PVE helps make it up.
Overall, this Thanos event plus these PVEs seem like a win to me.
Side note:  I am not sure if DPVMPQ was "chosen" as much as "we need a 4 day event and it's next in rotation", but it works well either way.

Yeah, one more vote in liking Deadpool vs. MPQ.

As for boss events being less ISO (Hero Points too), they make it easier to get worthwhile covers than a standard 3-day event. I am okay with having an occasional event that prioritizes a different reward.

Just finished.  You don't need 5Lord for the token or the 10k iso.  5Lord is required for a 5k iso node though.

Keeping up is less of a problem right now IMO as the most recently released character was a three-star and thus only need a third as much ISO to max.
Yes, there was a fivestar release too, but it will be quite a while before anyone but the biggest whales have a 5tar-Lord with enough covers to be worth leveling (actually according to forum reactions he may never be worth leveling...).
