    Yeah, this needs a dark theme or something. My eyes are really sensitive to light, which is why I always switched to the blue skin on the old forum.

    Also echoing the request for a simple way to add character icons. It used to be just colons before and after the character's name. Now it's
    <img alt="icon_greengoblinpng" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029755/uploads/custom_emojis/character_icons/icon_greengoblin.png">

    Even then, it's not loading all icons, like Thanos, Doc Ock, or Agent Coulson.

    EDIT: Welp, I figured out why some of the emblems weren't popping up. Most of the PNG files are named <charactername>_icon
    Thanos' file is Icon_Thanos. Doc Ock's file is icon_doctoroctopus. Coulson's is icon_agentcoulson_tiny.

    Yeah, I've probably been looking past it, but I can't seem to find the thingie where I can change the time when logged into the forum? There was always some weird thing going on with DST, but it was correct before the change of forum, now it's 1 hour off. No big deal, but would be nice if I could change it to the correct time.

    Likes:

    • The different "rating" buttons (Off Topic, Insightful, Like, LOL).

    Dislikes:

    • Where's https?  Where's the security?  No https is a sin!
    • The colors.  As many have mentioned the grey text on white background with grey filler is bad.  ESPECIALLY when combined with THICK dark blue message headers, that sort of shock my eyes into contrast overload and make it even more difficult to see the low contrast text that I actually want to read.
    • All my old saved links to important posts/threads are broken now.
    • I miss @Brigby having a red name.  It's helpful when scrolling through a lot of fodder (no offense, anyone) to find the important Official posts.
    • Sizing.  Quoted text is too big.  To much wasted space/padding around the posts themselves.
    That's my First Impression, anyway.

    @brigby Question for ya. I don't know if the coding is possible but I've noticed on some forums (Battle.net for one) when an admin replies to a thread an indication on the main page is added. Could we add something like that here? I think it would help people know when various topics have a red member reply inside.

    Thanks for the feedback! All of those items you mentioned are on our list of topics to discuss with the engineers and designers. It's a work-in-progress, as it'll take time to go through them all, but rest assured that we're looking into fixes.

    @Steellatch
    That was our intention with the Featured Posts, but it appears the automatic display of Admin replies doesn't work if the feature is separated between different sections (In this case, one in MPQ and one in MtGPQ) We're investigating other ways to highlight Admin replies for everyone's convenience.

    How is it that some people here can change their profile pics and the rest can't or has no profile pic???

    Well first thing, as others have said, the message board either doesn't scale to resolution, or it can't for the moment.
    Gamefaqs has done the same thing for some time and it bugs me there, too. I like to read the near width of the screen and the old forums did that just fine.
    I can kind of tell why since you have that side bar with avatars of logged in users and other functionality...but it's small, so once you scroll past it you're left with a large open space. I dunno if I'd prefer it to follow me down or if the width of the forum was just generally widened so it didn't seem so wasteful.

    Secondly...no red names. Or alteration to the developer/staff names of any kind. I'm less likely to notice the D3 logo in a sea of colourful avatars than I am to notice a name differently coloured to others. Hell, I rarely read a username so if I can tell at a glance "Red name. Staff member" that's much more useful.

    Early days yet...so I'm hoping this is functionality testing and things improve over time, but those are the two major things that stand out to me.

    Oh, another minor note. I was informed I'm "Chairperson of the Boards." I have no idea what that means, nor is there any obvious way to find out what it means.

    I believe you have to reach a certain forum rank before you are given access to change your avatar.

    I will say taking me to the latest post is a nice feature, especially in multi-page rant threads, lol

    @Brigby Thanks for the insight. I figured there was some plans of something close in the works. I couldn't see anything.

    When I come here now my entire screen is now consumed with the Featured Posts and a useless graphic. I visit this on a PC and I'd like to see the entire screen width utilized, and I'd like to see as many threads and posts on my screen as possible.

    After the last upgrade I stayed with the old format because it maximized the amount of information on the screen, even if at the expense of design.Now I can only see 2 or 3 posts on a screen at a time because of big post headers, avatars, and feedback icons, none of which have any value to me.

    Sorry if I'm old school, but I'd like as much useful information on the screen as I can get.

    I've been seeing a lot of double comments in threads. Looks like there's some issue there, either the "your comment has been posted" confirmation isn't clear or there are a lot of freezes when people post their comments.

    ETA: And the button froze when I posted it and I got a popup saying there had been an error when posting and to try again, but a manual refresh showed the comment had posted.

    Trust me, I've been noticing this, too. If people want to flag duplicate posts for deletion, please feel free.

    This looks terrible on mobile.  I thought it wasn't loading correctly at first, but I think this is it?  Will there be a mobile overhaul coming at some point?

    The big MPQ banner and the featured posts are kind of annoying because they take up so much space, and they show up a short while after it seems like the page has loaded. So I open the forum page, and immediately try to read the topic titles, and then the banners appear and push down the content I was trying to read.

    Luckily, this forum software works pretty well without Javascript if I'm just reading. I've now disabled scripts on the site and it's much better. And I can temporarily turn scripts back on when I need to use the more advanced site feature. (Using the Brave web browser.)
