Alright, after this last event, there were some low performers. I am creating a "chopping block" and "watch" list, which will be people who are to be replaced as soon as we get a suitable replacement person and people I am watching the performance of for future events. We currently have 19 but have 1 person joining new today, so I will continue to look for new applicants as long as there are people on the chopping block. I will be going downward in order of people on the chopping block when I find new replacements. Here are the current low performers.

Menius - He said he was on vacation, could be his vacation ran a little later than expected or so, not concerned too bad as he is a consistent performer otherwise
Daiteach - Said he will not be able to play competitively anymore. Hoping that changes as he is a great player, but if I am able to find a replacement I will. Sorry bud
_becca - No points, no notice. Chopping Block.
Salamander - Said on the alliance chat he was moving all week. Would have preferred that notice beforehand here on the alliance chat, but at least is open with communication. Still came very close to the minimum even while busy, not concerned.

Like I said in the chat, I took a 4 day weekend to enjoy my anniversary. I came back to a MOUND of work. I simply forgot that the Daken event ended today, as early as it did. I had hoped to do my 300 tonight. Sorry!

No worries Menious, like I said in the above post - I am not concerned about your performance at all, I figured the vacation ran long or something. In fact Im not concerned about either person on our watch list - I just wanted to give a sort of example as to how I will be handling this from now on. Neither of the people on the watch list are REALLY at any risk of being kicked out, just an example. Any other day and you wouldn't be on the list



For all members - keep in mind for this new event the new minimum is 400 points. 400 points. I repeat, 400 points. If you get to 300, you have 100 more to go. 400 is the minimum.

Alright, event is ending soon, make sure you all hit at least your minimums. I know some people are getting hammered - I am as well, but just try to keep it up to grab those covers - this is a pretty easy low scoring event compared to some of the others!


also, I definitly want to get another commander. I know BoRaiCho was interested - are you still? If anyone is interested, please mail me directly and let me know why you want to be a commander, ideas you have to make things better, and what time zone you are in/what times you can access the game (it can help to deal with in game issues while I cant cause sleep/work)


We are doing well guys, overall. We have another new member coming in soon if the current 0 score person cant make the grade. I will swap the new person in for the 0 score before the end of the event if they dont shape up soon, or at least say something. Its a new member that has the 0 and I havent heard anything from them, and the new person coming in is VERY active. I am positive that we can break that top 100 mark again soon. They are talking about bracketing alliances at some point - I have no doubts that when that happens we will again be solidly in the top 100 for sure.


I also want to know - how do you guys feel about how we are doing? Are we pushing too much? Am I pushing you too much? I love the chatting in-game. but I would love to have some more conversation here on the boards too.

If you dont mind me making a few suggestions for your roster....
Respec IM35 to 3/5/5. Blue is WAY too expensive to use often, and IM35 has a good yellow for your level of play.
Dont put any more levels into Hawkeye - Classic. Hes not great.
Good job leveling your Ares. I would suggest taking either him or your Thor to as high as you can get them, both solid characters (I have both maxed and I dont regret it)
Storm modern - go ahead and pump levels into her. Great color coverage and can be used for a long time, longer than any other 1*s.
Sell your venom/Juggs/Yelena and all future covers for these. Worth more as Iso, and good to free up the cover slots for more 2*/3* people that you will be getting!
Pump some levels into BW modern. She carried me for a long time with her stun. Leave her build as is though, her skills dont scale at all with levels, its just for survivability from AoE attacks.

I think you mean 5/5/3 for IM35 (he's red/yellow/blue).

I don't think we are being pushed too hard - if we do want to be a top 100 alliance, we'll need to be playing at a level around this high to keep that up, competition is a lot more fierce now than it was when this alliance was new. As far as being commander...I'll think on it but I'm leaning towards not being one right now. Just don't always have the time to deal with management related stuff and playing.

I also remember running Thor, Wolvie and Daken and finding it to be effective. I used Wolvie primarily for Adamantium since Thor's red sucks and for the occasional Feral if the match was almost over, just to finish somebody off. Call of the Storm and Thunderstrike were my focus. And Daken was good because not only did he toss out strike tiles, he also does damage on purple and black to supplement Thor and Wolvie's red/yellow/green.

But I also like to switch up my teams for variety and not just stick to what is "best."

My opinion on Thor and Wolvie together is that they overlap too much. same with Ares. Those three I find to be great tank characters and all, but are missing support. Then again, as a defensive team having any two of thor/Wolvie/Ares + OBW is REALLY scary. I would skip that node for sure!

I really like playing with a lot of support. I have been running OBW/Thor/Pun lately cause its nice to have an outlet for that black AP, plus the decent red skill but my pun is only around level 85 right now.

Seems like there is still some server issues. Had problems with scores updating properly in Patch PVP earlier. I wouldn't worry to hard about it.

The alliance stuff is getting out of hand. I'm going to take a break from it so that I can actually enjoy the game instead of worrying about whether or not I'm hitting an arbitrary mark in PVP. Though I will point out that several people over Memorial Day weekend did not play and nothing was said except we shouldn't expect people to play on a holiday. It's been fun and I'll see everyone sooner or later on the board.

Wrong, sir. I gave notice I would be away, as well as 2 others. If you werent oging to hit it, you should have given notice. I dont force people to hit it all the time if they are busy, all I ask is for forewarning so we dont have peopel pushing to 900 with all thier might for nothing. Its to be fair to the rest of us. Seems like you dont have a grasp on that kind of fairness and would rather just do your own thing. Good luck to you then - just dont blame us for your inability to follow very simple and lax instructions. Take responsibility and own up to your lack of communication and respect for your fellow players. They are the ones who have been giving you all that free iso.

And for the ten fellows that were here before we lost part of the group thank you for giving me iso. That being said yeah I admit six hours before the end of the event is not the time to post in Alliance chat in-game that I won't make the 400 point mark but I did in fact state it.

I will also point out for lax and simple instructions 25% of your group was under the amount; which may make it simple and lax but still an arbitrary point total that you personally picked.

Its not as arbitrary as you think. The goal with the minimum was to make top 100 again to get covers, as that is what everyone vocalized as wanting when I took command. 300 was picked as an easy to hit amount, and when I set it I said I would increase it once we see what we place with everyone hitting 300, and if that didnt allow us to reach top 100. We did not break top 100 when 300 was the minimum, so I increased it, just like I said I would. Go back and read my posts on this very forum from when I took over as commander, you will see everything I am saying now.

If 25% of the group was under the amount, then they get put on the watch list. If they STAY under that 25% without notice then they get put on the cut list. Once on the cut list, I find new players who are willing to hit that number OR are willing to post onthe boards before hand to give notice. You (for all intents and purposes) did not give notice. The notice is so that other people dont push as hard. Giving notice hours before an event ends means many peopel have ALREADY pushed hard, put in VERY hard work, and are now being told that it may have been for nothing. That is why you were on the watch list - it was unfair to your fellow alliance mates. As it was with the other people on the watch list.


When I took over, people said they wanted to hit top 100 again. I am trying to make that happen. If that isnt you - if you arent a top 100 type of player, then you can find another allianc ejust fine - there are tons of them, and I wish you well while looking for one, but again - do not point out that things are arbitrary. I am quite vocal on these forums about our goals and my reasonings for the things I say. I may make long posts, but I do it so that everyone knows whats going on and why. Stop blaming other people, stop blaming me, and bow out gracefully.

Lastly - I have an issue with the way you left. If you have problems with how things are run, why did you not vocalize this any time over the past 2 weeks? Not once did I hear from you in DM or on this forum that you had an issues with anything. You were quiet, then you quit. It show that you dont want to try and make this place better, you just want what you want. We are all real people and we can work towards solving problems you have, however leaving without talking through your problems? Thats just low class. If you have a problem with a co-worker, do you just up and quit, or do you sit down with your boss and coworker and tell them whats going on so you can reach a compromise an happy solution? Maybe everyone would be happy without the minimums. Maybe there is a bette way of hitting top 100. Maybe we want to swap from a pvp centric alliance to pve centric. Maybe we all want to play more casually. How would we know if no one speaks up. Thats wht being an adult it - stepping up and confronting your problems by looking for reasonable solutions to them, while not letting down your peers.
