As I can see, I am on the watch list. There are two reasons for this situation, and unfortunately I am quite sure that this will not be a rare case.
1) My activity during the weekends is lower than during my working days. Sometimes I can play not sooner than on Sunday evening (CEST), so if an event takes place during Saturday and Sunday, I can't contribute with many points. I can heal my heroes with difficulty, so there is almost no way how to catch it up.
2) Most events usually ends at 5/6 AM CEST, so even if I have enough points, it may easily happen that during the night I can fall down under the limit because of lots of attacks from other players. If an event ends at 6 PM CEST, there is no problem to watch if I am under.
So... If you guys are satisfied with my contribution so far and are willing to cut me some slack especially during the weekends, I will be happy to stay with you and fight with you side by side. If not, let me know, I will start to search a new alliance.0 -
It does seem like the game is more kind to West Coast players. They used to have start/end times more staggered so that everybody, even those in Europe or whatnot could have a chance at a decent time. They seem to have ditched that and times seem to be consistently 9am/9pm PST. That's fine with me, but I can see how that could be very troublesome for people who don't live here, especially if you have jobs that let you out at, hm, 6pm CEST. Other people have families who consume the majority of their weekend, etc.
I think the 400 goal is good. But if you consistently aren't going to be able to reach that, don't be discouraged. I think there needs to be some leeway for those whose lives simply won't let them always reach 400. Just let us know what to expect so that people don't think you're a slacker every week. Now get to work! *cracks whip*0 -
Excuse me for changing the subject, but I've been wondering about a thing and would like to hear the solution
How do you look up for personal alliance members scores? You have to be the commnader or play on steam? I'm playing on iOS and I never found any option like that.
P.S. Thanks for letting me join the alliance, I hope you are pretty satisfied with my scores up to date.0 -
Edit. Thanks for letting me in0

I'm quite new to the game, day 24, but doing well IMO and committed to getting better, in the simulator in my bracket I finished top 3 in all 6 events, 4 1st, 2nd and 3rd and 1st in overall. I've been placing well in all events as you'll see by my covers, no $ spent. I need a good alliance to help me improve and help you guys too.
My current lineup is
OBW 5/5/3 74
Awolfie 5/5/3 60
Thor 5/4/3 60
Trying to build up covers and ISO to improve, I sold my 4* IW from sim placing for ISO as no more space for new covers
3*
BP 1/1/2
Loki 2black
Spidy 2/1
Psy Red black
Falcon
Rag red green
DD
CMag
Pun

Thanks. Already done, been pending since yesterday, unfortunately didn't get to message you on here otherwise you'd have had an extra 150k to add to your sim total.0 -
Personal bulls**t popped up. Might be a bit MIA. Should still hit 400 though. Nothing shall keep me down!
And I also will be focusing on PVE for the next 6 days 2 hours, because I must have that Storm!!!!0 -
I know it's a month out, but if I don't post while thinking about it, I'll forget. It looks like July 6th thru the 19th, for those two weeks, I am going to Pensacola, FL for my job. I have to train someone, and more importantly, hit this beach. I am not sure how much or if I will have a lot of play time. If you want me to leave for those two weeks so you can fill my spot with a more active player, that's fine. I just ask, if that is the case, can I get dibs on first open slot then?0

Naw we will keep you around. Im sure other people will have some vacations around then cause of the holidays, might be a decent time to plan a "Tanking week" or something - just allow all of us to lower our MMR for a little while.
And I guess that kinda brings up a good question - do we want to switch from a pvp pushing alliance to a PVE pushing alliance? Lately with the advent of seasons pvp has been brutal and until they create alliance brackets I honestly dont see us hitting top 100. Once they DO make alliance brackets - then its a different story.
PVE on the other hand is where all the new covers come in and has some fantastic rewards as well. It also is less boring since you get to fight different types of teams. How would you guys feel about a alliance change - stop forcing minimum pvp points, allow us to all do pvp however we want (tank, push, whatever) and instead have a strong focus on pve progression?0 -
I agree that we are not able to hit top 100 even if we push hard. We are always around 150-200, so no cover. On the other hand I got three covers from the last PvE. I think we have a higher chance for covers in PvE than PvP.0
-
I agree on moving more towards pve. A lot of us are still weak in PvP, ok I am still weak there. The only hang up I see is how do we monitor or make a threshold for PvE? Rubber banding is screwy, and or broken.
I think we should keep a 300 minimum for PvP tourneys though. That at least gets you a cover token, so it will help in strengthening our members.0 -
Agreed on moving towards PVE. PVP has become brutal of late, PVE is easier, more fun, gets new covers introduced in it, etc.
I don't know how you could enforce a limit/threshold to be at, what with scoring in PVEs traditionally being screwy.0 -
yeah, pve scoring is going to be a tough one to set goals for. I was thinking about simply using a standard of being withing 2 standard deviations of the scores in the alliance. I can figure out the StdDev every event afterward and post everyone's StdDevs, showing the math so no one thinks they are being cheated . The upside is this way it is able to run independently from actual scoring values, since those get funky all the time dependent on what they tweak. The downside to this is that I wont be able to set a number goal beforehand for everyone to hit. Generally the best way of telling if you have done well is simply looking at the alliance scores and seeing how far off from the middle of the pack you are. The further away you are from 10th place's score (below it), the more you need to make up in points. This method also means that if everyone is scoring pretty much the same, even 20th place will be safe
We can maybe try it out and see what the numbers look like after the current pve and see if that method will work. What do you think? Also, please keep giving input (for those who havent yet) about your thoughts on switching to pve centric alliance.0 -
Overall I think this is a great idea.
With the past PvP events we weren't able to hit the spots for alliance covers. I'll still go for PvP individually, we will all do, but those with less time/hard brackets won't feel like they're failing.
PvE has new covers and thus it's always nice to get a shiny fresh cover. However I don't see an easy plan to give a minimum number of points, it varies with events - simulator was mega easy for me, ended up at 3rd position I think, while the actual event gives me a low score while some people got 2x times my hard earned points.
After all, I agree with the plan of transitioning to PvE.0 -
I'm fine with a shift in focus to PvE events and acquiring new covers on release.
I was going to suggest we begin designating certain PvP events as open for tanking to help keep MMRs under control anyway. The newest event for example where a low level Sentry will hold most of us down would be a prime target for this. If we were to badly tank this one then a push for a top 100 in the next event may not be out of the question. So a focus on PvE but choosing certain PvP to try maxing points as an alliance might work best.
To me there is no reason for people to resign because they are going on vacation or whatnot. Just be sure to make a post before leaving so your inactivity is expected.0 -
switching to pvp will take a lot of worry off my back haha. ive been struggling to make and stay above 400. and i prefer the story stuff anyways. so thats my vote0
-
Sounds like PVE it is. I personally prefer PVP, so I'll still be doing that. But it has been brutal and I haven't gotten top 10 in like 2 weeks, which is really frustrating for me. Let's get Storm! In case you haven't heard, I'm jonesing for that Storm0
-
IMO, our primary focus should be PvP. I think we should be putting together 2 man teams for PvP use and leveling everyone else sparingly (Punisher or Patch + OBW are my top picks). Competition will always be tight in PvE because the rewards are often new characters. Some of the PvP events are a little bit more lax because some of the veterans aren't as motivated by duplicate covers. A lot of the PvE events boil down to who can play the most during the last hours. Since a lot of us live in different time zones, it seems more feasible for us to beef up our strongest characters and place consistently in PvP. If you have a reasonably strong team, you're not going to be hit for many points, even over extended periods of time.
2-3 covers of a new character earned over week long events aren't going to help us out in the long run if we have members who cannot score top 50 in the PvP to get 3* covers of existing characters. They will be relying on luck (tokens), money (better be rich), and progression rewards to be able to build their roster. We need people who can put up high scores in PvP to help some of our newer players get those alliance only 3* covers. I currently do not spend a lot of time playing this game but am able to put up relatively high scores due to my roster. My hope is that we can all get to this level over time. If we can somehow squeeze ourselves back into the top 100 in PvP, we have a shot at staying competitive. If not, we're toast. I'm on board for another full season no matter what, but if there's no improvement, I'm probably done. If we do decide to switch to PvE, I expect us to finish in the top 100.0
