yeah, 1 player away from spot #45 or so this time out. still, i got my first level 141 from the purple, just in time for the GSBW pvp grats all! and tomorrow, hopefully, we should have some human torches.

it kind of sucks that the only people that'll get top 50 in this pve are the ones that show up in the last 3 hours. everyone else is boned.

It is still bracketed? or you just mean the last clears? Yeah i would imagine you can run her and your thor get some good green generation going should be fun

i mean last clears. the difference between #1 and #200 is like 2k. anyone that misses the last clear, has trouble clearing, or goes too early is going to get bounced right out of the top 50.

but no subs = no rewards, and no one is getting jack for the progression rewards, so it's a pretty loser event. I was fine with the last 3 though, this one is just a miss by mpq.

congrats all! the alliance chat has a pretty limited buffer, so if you have something you want to say and don't want it to scroll off into oblivion, this thread still has some use. at the end of the event, the chat only held 8 minutes worth, so... yeah.

we're working on getting up to 17 slots... soon. i want 300 hp more before buying slot 16, or 400 more before buying 17. that should help us get top 50s more in pvps and get us a bit closer to 20man.

Sorry guys we missed top 50 because life is poo.

In hospital at the moment with the wife (bad times) and so I missed he last 15 hours or so.

Net result: I finish top 300 or so and get a (full) ares cover instead of all the lovely torches, and we finish outside where we should because I didn't bag my last 10k - 20k points.

Really sorry because I totally had it in the bag too.

Oh man, that's bad. Hope you (or is it your wife? not sure) are well or getting better now.

And this is just a game in the end, meant to be fun, not something else to worry about. There's usually enough of that in real life, unfortunately.

Don't worry man I don't think you cost us anything we haven't ever finished top 50 in a PvE, so you just messed up your rewards but Life can get in the way of MPQ. Hope your wife is alright =(

Family first. Nothing more important. Hope things improve.

I am pretty much out of the Widow event, just no time to commit and my team just gets pounded. Will re-engage with the LR and other events. Really wish I had more Spidey covers. Those seem so hard to come by now.

I would try tanking your roster in shield training aka retreat with everyone till they are all dead. I would think even with just max punisher and OBW you could score moderately well without too much trouble. Just gotta take your MMR down a little. I have been facing mostly 50 level teams up to 600-700.

I assume the team I throw up there doesn't matter? Thankfully I've got a lot of scrubs to help me tank. Just dropped about 10-12 rounds in shield training.

Anyone know the MMR calculation?

But I thought you had to stay in the fight to the end and let all your characters get knocked out. Does retreating work as well? Does it count the number of losses (better to retreat) or the amount of health lost (just be done with it more quickly)?

icex said health, and people have said recently that retreating used to work (when w/l was the main factor). i don't know if retreating works well now or not, i normally get my guys dead.

under 20min left in GSBW pvp, we're #72'ish with about 9000 points. this one's been more competitive since it's been the only game in town the last two days. still, pretty good showing, our black psylocke should be safe. thanks all!

Damn, I probably finished 2nd by like 5 - 10pts in the black widow tournament, oh well.

Yeah I guess to be honest i dont know if its wins/loss or health i have a pretty deep & leveled roster so i may be just tanking lots of HP with repeated retreats. So you can tank your team with retreats and/or leave up a **** team to take losses but you have to win once with that team. All i know is my GF was against the wall in her MMR so i tanked the bottom 3/4 of her roster in shield training and her opponents went from max 2* to level 50 2* and max 1*. This helped her get to 500 no 900 of course. So at any rate its always worth trying if you feel like your just getting hammered with tough match ups or tons of retaliations.

Yeah i wanted that blue IW for a minute till nemek showed up and was shielded at 1000 and i know he would fight me for it so i passed on that fun

I say you should try to down your whole roster in the shield training if you want to tank. It's more fun that way and you can make some weird teams that might end up winning sometimes. At least it's more entertaining than just retreating over and over
