Crash of Titans Cap vs Cap

  • Booooooo to the Flaptain matchup with Carol and an even bigger BOOOOOOOOO to the person who chose her..

20 health packs and no luck. Cascades ALWAYS give her black and red even at the very top while I do my best to make it so she doesn't get it.

I hope whoever chose her gets a bad cold from sidewalk gutter water from a passing car.

Ok I'm done with my rant now.

I tried four times with a 1/3/3 L152 Cap before waking up to realize that this was some of the worst math in DDQ history. I think it's actually mathematically impossible to save up enough mana for my Cap to kill her in one turn, and if I don't, I give her enough mana to kill me in one turn.

A cynical person might look at them finally fixing the Team-Up problem in time for a fight so difficult the Team-Up isn't even an issue and see it as, well, trolling everyone who was complaining about the team-up issue. But I'm sure that's just another instance of how a random coincidence can induce unintended feelings in the player base.

Minus luck, the only way to beat this is...

Falcon--10k health, and at least 4 if not 5 in red, plus 1 yellow.

You may be able to beat her if you have more health and 3 red, but yeah, worst one so far. Funny thing is, even maxed you are going to need a really good board.

She was an obvious choice having in mind that he is as good as his protect tiles are.

I gave up after two tries - no way to kill her 14k health with match damage (since I only have some yellow and blue covers).

I really don't understand how one could take one of the slowest, weakest 4* characters in the game, and pit him against a character with high HP, two incredibly cheap moves that both deal at least 2700 damage, and that either zap your single advantage or stun you for no less than 2 turns, and consider that a fair and fun match-up
Surely you've gotten the "You're supposed to lose" memo...

Yeah this is one of those instances. If you don't have a 200 lvl 3/5/5 CapFalcon you have to lose.

    Exactly.

The only good thing about this DDQ4 is that now I know CapFalcon is one of the worst 4s in the whole game, I knew he was not very good, but I thought he was more in the middle of the table. Now I think he is more in par with IW and Elektra. He is really a one trick pony. Well he is probably worse because at least they have some niche uses, he on the other hand doesnt do anything good, his blue is worse than 3 falcon yellow or ProfX, red is strong, but so slow than any other red user is better (IMHB, xpool, Cyclops, CArnage, etc, etc.) and yellow is a joke only good for his red. He is reaaaally LAME

Shame on you Devs! This is really a bad joke!
  • Waste of time.

Another cheap tactic to get you to spend money on damage boosts etc.

About time they started looking after players rather than bending them over a barrel without even the decency of using lube...

ok forget it. ten tries with 532 lvl 209....not even got close to downing her.
  • My FalCap is maxed at 2/4/1. Dive Bomb does 1094+165*protects. That means I need to do over 10k in match damage while denying red+black and staying alive myself while collecting 28 red. I don't want to say that it's impossible to finish this one with only 1 red cover, but it's incredibly improbable.

I've had a couple decent runs with 100% all, 50% r/y, 50% b/p. But it's really hard to tell when a strong match-4 will trigger her Energy Absorption which is pretty much game over.

Failed 7 or 8 times already. Will probably give it a couple more tries, but I'm pretty sure this will be the first one I don't beat....and with one of my higher leveled characters as well (lvl 152). icon_cry.gif

My exact build and level, and I managed to beat her with lots of boosts and lots of luck.
It should be noted that the 10 others in my bracket who beat CM all had at least 4 red covers though.

just hope the devs take a look at the data and realise how **** their 4* Falcon is. Full wipes with any and all type of boosts. The AI keeps getting red and black no matter what - and if I had enough yellow and red, the damage isn't enough to one shot Captain Marvel.

I did it at 4th try with 5/4/2 L229 Faptain.

    1) Max all colour damage boosts, +2 red/yellow AP boosts, max red/yellow damage boosts.

    2) Prioritise matches for red and black (goes without saying), and yellow.

    3) You WILL take hits due to CMarv’s cheap abilities (7 red AP and 9 black AP respectively), so bring up the level of your Faptain to sustain a few hits

    4) Once you take hits from CMarv’s black, match some blue to buff that strike tile, but not boosting too much to cause each match to trigger her yellow passive. Doing this also helps to bring CMarv's health down faster to one-shot level (using Faptain's yellow into red)

    5) Save up yellow and red until you can use both in the same turn (otherwise CMarv would just destroy all those protect tiles), and there are enough yellow tiles on the board to one shot CMarv.

Probably the toughest one yet since Star Lord.

This one is just stupid. I get that they're supposed to be hard: if your 4* isn't 160+ with 8-10 covers, you're not supposed to be able to do it (except when it's a weird one, like Prof X or Invisible Woman). However, with a 160+ with 8-10 covers, in the past it's been doable, though not easy. This one is closer to the first 3* Cyclops/X-Force Wolverine battle than anything: even a maxed FalCap will need a good board to make it through.

I guess the thought process was, "Well, there's no TU, so we have to make it more difficult somewhere else..."

There's a fine line between "challenging" and "frustrating," and the last few of these battles have been on the wrong side of it.

Despite what the devs and publisher has been telling us, no one in their team really test their product thoroughly. If they did all their devices would have hit their office wall.

Big thumbs down for me on this one (although I've only won 2 so far). Craptain is one of my higher covered 4* at 9 covers 3/4/2 thanks to my awesome luck in Legendary tokens. 'At least you'll be able to beat the 4* DDQ when he's the character' I told myself on those sh!tty pulls just to keep from getting too annoyed, and then they pull this **** and pick the worst possible opponent. Not dumping any more ISO into this POS. "You're supposed to lose." Got it, Devs. Thanks.

No, they just say "you're supposed to lose. Working as intended."
  • So we are pit against a direct counter to cap falcon, with no chance to stun her at all, a battle that even the high covered/maxed falcap users are struggling with, wich happens to be one of the newest characters making the pool of players that can beat this battle to a really small pool. Way to go devs, you surely know how to make this game enjoyable across all the player base

Not looking forward to this one. At all. And I've got 13 covers on him (not the right 13, but still... )
Took 7 tries, and a fortune in rainbow boosts. And my efforts were rewarded with my 6th Falcrap blue. Sweet irony...

Got it on the 7th try with 4/3/2 level that I had to take all the way up to 188.

Hard not having too much damage in red. Basically had to save up 28 red, then use yellow and two nukes immediately to kill her in one turn.

Also fittingly got a Cap Falc blue.

And you STILL don't want to believe that they clump the token pulls instead of making them purely random...

This is the first one i am going to fail. I know I cant get them all, but one should expect that with 10 covers you should be able to win.
