This one is by far the most unfair fight.

Devs STOP DOING THIS !!!! THIS IS NOT FUN!!!!

As I said before, I have six covers and I am beaten to pulp. Not a chance. If I am super lucky I can cast yellow and start upgrading my shields, so I can resist her attacks. But then when she gets to 7 red AP all of them are destroyed **** !

I don't have red, but for any given player that can fire a 1,2 or 3 cover red, the only thing you are going to accomplish is make her stronger !!! Again **** ?!?!?!

So basically to win you need a 1/x/5 covers (where all together is 10+ covers) red falcon then get 9 yellow and 14 red and kill her firing first yellow then red in the same turn and kill her with one attack OR have 7+ covers (a lot of blue covers), let her cast black (and survive) and start upgrading the strike tile, and have a very good board where she doesn't fire anything else... So LUCK LUCK LUCK and EXTRA LUCK to win.

Again, THIS IS NOT FAIR, THIS IS NOT FUN.

But it is alot of fun coming to the forums to read all the rage and whine posts!! First world problems, so hilarious. More please.

P.S. my falcap is lvl 120 5\5\2 and doubt I'll win. So what I move on.

Well maybe that is what they want "Let's create impossible battles so everybody gets mad, and then they will go to the forum and then we will get some laughs reading their angry posts (and we will have more people on the forums)" icon_razz.gif

For me the worst part is that they don't say anything, they don't acknowledged the problem. I try to use capitals so maybe I will have more attention from them. But I guess I am just fooling myself.

We need to use a very recent char, with a lot of people without any red covers, which is not a very good char against a 270 lvl char, that seems designed to fight this char. Not very fair...

But you have to complain about how UNPOSSIBLE it is to progress in this game!!!111111111

Without spending money on covers. Which is the whole point of the freemium model.

My 3/3/3 Falcrap has no chance either. I took him to 145 but I'm not spending any more ISO on him for a chance at a Baglady token.
JG should be better equipped at 3/2/4.

The guy that referred to him as Faptain got it all wrong - this guy sucks at finishing anything on his own.

First, credit where it is due - there is no enemy tu.

Second. I am fine with difficulty. I enjoy the Gauntlet and Heroics to an extent. I just absolutely hate when they decide to set the difficulty level to "Pure Dumb Luck". What a waste of time.

I think this is the first one were "Pure Dumb Luck" will not be enough for a lot of people. This is probably the first 8+ covers fight, and then some luck icon_razz.gif

I would LOVE to see the final numbers of this fight... 100% is going to be the worst one by a fair margin.

I have 11 covers, 4 of them red.

How that works out is she can take down my faptain with 7 red and 9 black. I need a lucky board in which she has not matched away all the yellows, 9 yellow and at least 14 red but probably more like 28 red. If I trigger a crit on faptain's strong colour, she gets 5 red and 3 black. "Pure dumb luck" is a kind way to phrase my feelings on this choice of opponent.

Yeah more or less what I thought. But in other fights you could have like 5-7 covers, had a very good board, play the match very well and win. For this one that is not going to happen. You need 8+ covers, have him at maximum level possible and then be VERY LUCKY.

As I said before, this is a very recent char (so most people doesnt have him well covered), a lot of people without any red covers (not featured in PvP progression yet), he is not a very good char (so people doesn't buy covers for him) and he goes against a 270 lvl char, that seems designed to fight him. Not very fair...
  • I already regret using 40k ISO to level him to lvl 150 (3/5/2). Boosting Y/R +2 and + 50% and + 100% damage, after 6 tries I have to conclude I have absolutely no chance.

Took Her out with my 0/1/0 level 70. No Boosts.

Managed the cascade from heaven. Gave me 30 ap in all colours. Didn’t matter that I couldn’t cast anything with this ap as the cascade went on so long I was able to make tea and a cheese and pickle sandwich. On consumption of said repast I found that captain marvel had only 20 heath and I had 5 crit tiles lined up nicely for a single 5 match. Took her out.

Then I woke up and realized I hadn’t even bothered to try this one and I was at least 273% lying my face off.

    Good luck everyone else.

If you feel like gambling, one of the 3 who have completed it in my bracket has a lvl 150 3/4/2 faptain.

I just spent 80 or so of my taco tokens in hope of getting that red flaptain featured in my vault and finally got it...still don't know if I have a chance at beating her (he's now 5-3-2 soft maxed to lvl 209). on the plus side I now have 42 health packs so lots of chances to try, surely one of those boards must be lucky, no?

Yeah, this is easily the most difficult match-up since Xforce vs über-Cyke.

I've tried several times with my L155 5/4/2 Faptain, and I haven't even come close.

I really don't understand how one could take one of the slowest, weakest 4* characters in the game, one that most players have very few covers for (and I know I'm one of the 'lucky' ones in that regard), and pit him against a character with high HP, two incredibly cheap moves that both deal at least 2700 damage, and that either zap your single advantage or stun you for no less than 2 turns, and consider that a fair and fun match-up. Not that she's had to zap any protect tiles in my case, because in every of my 5-6 tries the board remained so yellow-starved for the entire duration of the match that I'm lucky if I can fire off his ability even once (and forget about using his red for anything but a single turn kill, since you'll just feed her enough AP to pretty much one-shot you). I feel that this match-up is pretty much the equivalent of picking Jean Grey as the opponent for Prof X's DDQ.

This match couldn't have come at a worse time for me, when my frustration of having completely random tokens that I can only collect about 4-6 of every week as the only means of progression left in the game other than maybe one or two PvP 4* 1k progression covers a month that I can actually use. I know there's been plenty of 'rich get richer' grumblings on this forum, but the top end isn't much fun at the moment either (at least not when you're basically a F2P player like I am, although I've spent some money on the game simply to appreciate the enjoyment I have gotten out of it in the past two years) when progression is both glacial and subject to the whims of pure chance.

Honestly I've been quite enjoying my flaptain - he's great support for countdown users and the nuke is neat if you happen to get enough red. It's just, as you said, he's slow on his own and they picked a fast opponent who negates all his strengths basically plus generates her own ap, like it's not hard enough to deny her cheap skills.

Xforce had an easier time of it, teamup and all.

My 132 level 131 Falcon actually just got Captain Marvel to almost 11k health. I can totally see beating her if I bought another red cover and lucking into 28 red ap with 10 protect tiles on the board.

Only 2 problems are I would rather spend the resources on Teen Jean in 5 days and even if I got the legendary token today I'm on a streak of pulling 7 unusable 4* covers and I'm not investing for the 8th.

There are more than enough 4* and 5* covers I can use. Don't know why I keep pulling covers I already have 5 of.
  • Falcap 4/3/1 with my level 71 I will not even waste my time on this node. Only very Iso and HP and have a chance. I prefer to put as much Iso as HP on some useful 4 *. For me, falcap is one of the worst 4 * game.

I had a meeting after I beat Crash of the Titans, and once I was done I was #431 in my bracket. Then I played another node and jumped to number 10. Apparently only 10 people in my bracket beat Captain Marvel so far...

0-8 so far. I don't mind getting hit with Marvel's red. Her bk stuns you for 2 rounds, just enough time to accumulate more reds to knock you out. icon_e_confused.gif

    Ah, yes, the Galactus Imperative.

To be honest, so far, a 10-11+ cover 4* at L150 or so was more than enough for each 4* DDQ match past the first one, even if required some board luck and a few re-tries. But with Falcap I'm not even sure leveling him to L200+ would do the trick. When you need at least 23 and more likely 37-46 AP to win the fight, having an opponent who can kill you with 15 doesn't give you much of a chance.
