Guys, I have an admission to make.

I'm getting pretty put off by the pve stuff. Logging in to get wiped then putting the phone down to get wiped again a couple hours later is not really fun to me. I mean it's cool that many of the guys are levelled over a hundred levels above mine and scaled even higher sometimes because they are lower star rankings, but then locking out important members of my roster then forcing a relatively useless third character on me, well I'm finding it not only a chore, but a massively irritating one.

In fact, suffering through pve is somewhat putting me off the game as a whole, even the pvp. Don't worry, I'm not ready to go Allorin yet, but I have to say that this confluence of factors is kind of souring me on MPQ. I guess it could be chalked up to scaling, but really it's a bunch of stuff. Part of it is the knowledge that even if I somehow manage to luck out and beat a high point node once with a sub-par team, I haven't gained much; I have to go back and try the same damn thing again. I'm not willing to resort to Spiderman any more, because that's frankly even less fun to me.

I'm just tired of rather than playing the game trying to figure out ways to hack the system in order to come up with any kind of legitimate score. Sorry if I slack a bit on the Simulator this go around. I'm working on it.

I hear ya, dlaw. Beyond the crazy scaling screwing with people, the pace of recent PVEs has been rather relentless. Even as a PVE minmaxer, I'm getting tired of them.

Don't beat your head against the PVE wall too hard. No need to set the standard every time.

Just take your time about it.

Don't stress on our behalf. If we miss a few alliance spots, so what? I'm pretty sure that this isn't an alliance that was formed "to get top ten all the time or I'll kick everyone out except myself". I'm almost positive that it was formed due to some fun posts in the forum. The fact that we have thus far managed to consistently make top ten is awesome, but not what we're here for.

TLDR; Just slack a bit until your pve rating comes back down.

That's exactly what i intend to do if my nodes don't drop by a considerable margin. If the game doesn't start been fun again i can see myself "doing an allorin"

My suggestion, fwiw? Skip the Simulator. Gives yourself (yourselves!) and honest to goodness break. It'll do you the world of good. Might even lower your PvE MMR to decent levels.

I think D3 are going to have to come up with a new way to allow for competition, because the grind is killing the game. At the end of the day it's match three, FFS.

IceIX, you need to get your peeps to raise the alliance member limit to 21! Every time I see Allorin post on here or get a FB share, I think he still belongs with us!

Or else maybe he could start a 'junior alliance', 5DeadlyDjangos (but that might exceed the character limit).

Yep, we need a PVE that we can just screw around in. Maybe after... EDIT: ...UberDaken gets rewarded a couple times, and we have a PVE with relatively meaningless rewards. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how their further balancing tweaks work out.

In other news, now that the Season is properly underway, my Season bracket's top ten includes a S.H.I.E.L.Dbro, two Retribution, one O.L.Y.M.P.U.S, and a DeadpoolTaco. Sigh.

P.S. - I'll bet Emeryt's itching for an alliance cap increase to 40+ so he can merge scAvengers with Django.

Just play pve casual for now guys. Event rewards are just another falcon, no-one new.

Save it all up for new covers and de-stress / tank for a bit.

Like, 4 bajillion euros.

We'll assuredly get Top 250 for the cover anyway, even if the guys hit by insane scaling just chillax. I'm still hittin' it (TWSS) because I've been very lucky, scaling-wise, and I actually kinda like Simulator (exception: f--- you, SuperJuggernaut & Devil Dino).

Beez, if you're reading this, tell WYP that I attacked him on purpose and I'll be shielded for the next 8 hours. It would be nice if he could get me during that time. I was hoping to get to 1200 in this one, so I suppose he could save me for the end, but that doesn't seem very efficient. No need to knock my score down, reckless is safely going to win our season 1 bracket.

Got the retal in - thanks for giving me that nice point option! 800-1000 is a huge morass of retals right now, it was great to have a +33 to start me out of that zone. It's all 3x141s in there, and many are super active today, so climbing above was a massive chore. I'm at 1060ish now, and seeing some good targets now above me, so it should be reasonable to hit 1300 again.

Well I'm glad it isn't just me who found getting above 1000 to be an extreme slog.

What's worth, tanking got messed up in the latest patch, at least I've started to notice it now.
It used to be that you could "tank off" a victory by about 3 to 5 retreats in Shield training - maybe it took about 20 retreats or so to go from high-level enemies back to non-maxed 1* teams again.
This morning I spent almost 90 minutes retreating, killing my whole roster, some even twice (that's over 38*3 retreats) to get away from maxed 2*s back to the "seed" 1* teams. And even better, just ONE real fight and I'm back at maxed 2*s in training, which again takes an hour to get away from.

Yes, I'm perfectly capable to defeat other 141s.
No, I don't want to do this from 300 points onwards.

I've noticed that tanking means less now for sure, but I haven't been running into the wall at 300. For me the craziness starts to kick in around 600-700 instead of 800-900 like it used to.
