I'm not surprised this has been changed. They want to encourage championing your 2*'s, so whats the best way to do it? Make the 2* section of DDQ harder.

I agree with the sentiments posted. You took something fun and a challenge for the 2* transition and made it much harder with no additional rewards. I strongly dislike this change.

I didn't have trouble, but then again I have a pocket octopus ready to go so the sentries were no problem.

I am championing them. Very slowly and now slower if I can't have the support of my slower growing 3*s due to the covers now being harder to get. >.>

They've just made the one part of the game for casual gamers harder.

The one thing that would have made almost every player forgive this change would be if they (re-)added the 1 CP a day prize

I had forgotten about that. My favorite 5 day cycle ever. I think an extra taco and bumping the 15k point reward to 5,ooo iso would be welcome and not in any means break the games economy.
  • A couple of days ago someone started a post titled funnest enchilada team or something to that effect. Most people, including me, posted that we just use the team that gets it over the quickest. We have seen d3 take threads in the past and turn them against the players. I'm too lazy to do it but maybe we should start a forum somewhere else where our banter and musings won't be used against us.

I think they should have doubled or even tripled the iso gains, too, which would not only justify a harder time, but earn good will. The biggest complaint is everyone's 4 million iso shortage.
  • Wow. Yeah, I don't understand this change at all. When the only effect seems to be to annoy the playerbase, how can that be a positive?

I'm slightly passed the DDQ curve, so I can handle the changes. The additional challenge/no additional reward isn't appealing. The extra time needed means I'm less likely to get the nodes in each day, thereby playing less. But if the additional challenge is worth that much in the devs eyes, then mission accomplished.

My son's roster though, was just starting to be able to handle the Enchilada. He was getting major benefit from this each day. The primary play zone for him, so to speak. I'm not sure he'll be getting much out of it now.

Simply - when games get annoying, people stop playing. Not spend more money on it.

All I can do is remember the February Community Video work Will and Mike ( or whatever their names are ) saying :

"Hi, we are the a Lead Designers of this game, we have some awesome stuff coming up for you ( giggling ), we even made Deadpool Daily Quest more interesting ( laughing out loud ), you guys are going to love what's coming up ( chuckling )."

FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO WORK ON FELLAS!!!!!!!! Please?

    This sucks.

No one ever said "DDQ should be way harder".

    Fix it.

The one feature that no one had any complaints about and you go and change it. Why?
This is not a rhetorical question. I honestly love to know of the process in which this clearly foolish decision was made. You were on a hot streak, all praise the mighty devs! And now the **** mobs will return. The forums will turn red, the sky will fall.
Honestly, DDQ was perfect, mindless, fast paced and fun with some decent rewards.

Me too. I really would like them to answer. This is the second "Why did you think this was a good idea? Seriously, expain it to us!" moment in as many weeks (first being locking prologue, even after removing all rewards). Of course, they never bothered to answer there, and I'd be astonished if we get an explanation for this.

I'm trying to imagine how that conversation, where the agreement is made that this was a good idea, went. Honestly it, doesn't make a lick of sense unless Dr. Evil is the lead programmer. Are their development offices in a volcano lair by chance?

Yeah I kept looking for the higher ISO payout which would certainly accompany the switch to harder fights, then I remembered I was playing MPQ.

    Rollback or higher ISO, please.

Carnage goons have been added to the background art, a sure sign they are now included in the potential "random" opponents

Wow I posted over a week ago about how the two great improvements were likely just buttering us up for a less than popular change, I thought they accomplished that with increasing the boost to the featured characters, an obvious move to extend match time and health pack purchases... now this....

    Edit:
Now that I played a couple days I like the change to the DDQ...still don't like the boosting in pvp...

Marvel Future Fight and Netmarble (the developers) had already pretty much ended any interest I had in MPQ outside of the DDQ, and as I have said many times before, WHEN (not if, because I know how D3 operates) they finally ruined the DDQ, that would be pretty much it for me.

Ran the DDQ this morning, and, well, yeah. Thanks for finally likely putting me out of my misery.

DBC - one of the last remaining long-term players who still stubbornly believed things could get better.
  • this topic is the prime example of what is wrong with this game.

It was one day of DDQ. If it's consistently like that going forward, then yeah I see a reason to be irritated by it.

For now I'm treating it as a challenging one-off. I don't see anything wrong with throwing the occasional wrinkle into what has otherwise become a monotonous DDQ exercise.

This change is awful. Plain and simple. Even if it's just a one-off. They arbitrarily made the one truly good thing about this game more difficult with:

    - No effective notice of changes
    - No increase in reward to counter difficulty
    - No regard for player resposse (due to weekend release)

Now we get to rage about it all weekend while they cackle from their floating death mountain. This game just sucks now. Flat out, it just sucks. Every small bit of improvement comes with a stealthy change like this that makes the game worse than before. I'm a casual player as I rarely grind events or do pvp. Guess this is a buyers game now.

The deal-breaker for most people is going to be the Ultron Sentries. If they're a regular (or god forbid, daily) feature of the Big Enchilada node, then Demiurge absolutely has to introduce an ISO prize for making it past the first wave. Those things can outright murder a 2* team, or beat it down far enough that it can't reasonably take on the rest of the waves. I wouldn't want to be the poor 2* player constantly having to fight them, only just beating them, then getting crushed by 4pool on the third wave. At its highest levels, DDQ is meant to be challenging, but not frustratingly so.

Otherwise, there was very little to remark on as far as other changes goes. A board-mover on wave 1 of "Under the Sea" isn't so bad.

Is this more and more whining I am reading? I must be on the MPQ forums! icon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gif
