Are you satisfied with their reply back to you?
I wrote to them through the in-game "google" email that you access by clicking on the little envelope thingy on the main page. Why did I choose to contact them that way? Well, WHY THE HELL IS THAT THE ONLY WAY TO CONTACT D3 THAT YOU CAN ACCESS IN THE GAME? I wanted to see what happens and how long the response time is; if I even receive any. I highly doubt I'll receive anything back from D3 and it will likely just perpetuate their general attitude of "FU, we realy don't care about your emails or your feedback". I've see IceIX and other posts on the formus saying to email mobilesupport@d3p.us. Anyone not on the forums is not going to know to email mobilesupport@d3p.us
It's absoutely absurd that there is no in-game explanation for how the events are scored or how anything works during these events. During Oscorp, I read 30+ pages of complaints and WTFs on this forum. Even though this event seems to be a little more fun, people still have no clue **** is going on.
I agree. There needs to be a lot more explanation of events and scoring, scaling, my MMR, how I get thrown in brackets where I am simply outclassed, etc, etc.0 -
optimiza wrote:Having had a chance to play the event some, here's my Doctor Obvious observations vs. other PVE events :
- People like being able to use their rosters for events.
- People really like fighting varied enemies. I almost peed myself with glee after beating up my first doombot in a month and a half or so. I'd imagine I would enjoy fighting IW as well.
- People REALLY REALLY like Iso.
- People don't like being locked out of nodes. At least with The Hunt you had a few featured people you needed, so you weren't locked out of ALL the "Required hero" nodes. On top of that the featured notes were stupid hard, so I could at least deal with that. Needing Loki to be the lock key (ha!) for all of the nodes in this case annoying, especially since those are pretty much the only playable ones in hard mode that still seem to be available.
- People really don't like global scaling. If I can't beat a mission with my current roster, what makes you think I could do it in two hours when the enemies go up 100 levels? Can't you peg enemy levels to roster strength and time played? If tanking is a concern to artificially reduce difficulty, make it such that it doesn't happen unless someone is clearly having difficulty with a fight, like they're getting their top guys downed without taking out anyone.
- People REALLY REALLY don't like getting 20 Iso after fighting level 230 enemies. Similar to the point above, start off with an "easy" fight, with a 1* reward. The next fight with an identical mob, increase levels, but also increase the reward, and so on. It seems to make sense to peg any ISO rewards to your current roster level. This way people don't feel like they're wasting their time and getting screwed by bad luck and RNG.
That's all I got right now. Gonna try getting my **** handed to me by hard mode when I get home (that's what she said!).
Definitely agree with this. Devs need to work on scaling better. I got to a point that was very challenging and now its out of the question!0 -
i can confirm too that some of the missions have scaled back enemies......sim 6 were all 100 an hour ago, now they are 500
-
I still have tough fights I can compete in for points, so I'm not knocked out of this yet, but I'm worried about the scaling and especially worried they won't reset it after the current subevents.0

Madjam wrote:Just noticed the 5k iso hard match just dropped from 230s to 160s. Anyone else had this, cant see a reason why as ive done nothing. Maybe its scaling down through lack of completions by the community?
Down from 230 to 171 for me. And yeah, I think its because very few people have been trying the 230s with only 20 iso as reward.0 -
My only gripe is that the buffed characters for player use are also buffed as enemies. 230 Daken would probably have been terrifying if I wasn't stun-locking him with Mr. Parker... and the Hood wasn't sucking up the goon's blues to help sustain that lock while I chunked down 10k health.0

Yesterday I played the Simulator Normal and completed a bunch of matches and got to the one with Devil Dinosaur. I think that team was about lvel 42 each. Today I see level 77. How does this even work??? Will it go back down? Same thing in hard mode, the Magento match was maybe 118, now its 181! 118 was at least worth a shot with my mid-level team of 80 Thor, 55 C Storm or 47 2* Wolvie, and the fill-in IM40 level 41! A lot of luck and MAYBE a shot at beating them. Now none at all... Same thing happened with other event (Daredevil maybe) right after the last big update. Can anyone explain this and should I wait to fight this? Or keep fighting? I jsut want the big ISO drop at the end of this hard mode. Is it 5k like the regular mode? Thanks!
Levels are based on global progress and your own performance. No one has seen them go down yet. Hopefully it will reset with the new sub-events.
Maybe not.
Wathombe has seen level drop but I haven't.
Thanks for the feedback. So, you think best to try to do as many matches as possible as soon as event starts? Seems to be to me. Did you make it to the hard mode ISO stash to see how much it is?
5K just like regular. I have cleared both boards. Hard mode wasn't so hard the first time through but now it's nuckin futs.0 -

Definitely agree with this. Devs need to work on scaling better. I got to a point that was very challenging and now its out of the question!
Yup, agreed. The fundamental problem with this development model is that to work successfully it needs to have effective two-way communication. If you're going to put a product to market (and charge for it!), and then develop it in a lean/agile manner, it's critical to react positively to customer feedback. Unfortunately (IceX excepting) what seems to be the prevailing mood in D3 is "this is the way we want it to work, so screw you." I've seen a few projects run with this attitude - it invariably never ends well.
It's clear the global scaling is flawed. It only seems to scale one way - up - and seems to have very little relation to the majority of the player base. I, for one, have never managed to get a decent Spidey, and the game seems to have been 'fun-balanced' on the assumption everyone does. I'm facing lvl 132 Daken/Wolvie on the NON hard simulator, and my only >85 char is IM40. I've seen no good explanation from the Devs as to why the difficulty cannot scale according to individual roster / results - only "that's not how we want it to work, so there."
I've never been as frustrated with this game as I am today. And while that sentiment might not be a majority, I suspect I'm not alone. If things continue in this vein for much longer, I suspect this 'project' will find itself in trouble.0 -

One of the biggest problems I have against the scaling enemies is that it very quickly gets to a point where they can easily overpower the heroes. You pretty much need a spiderman to stunlock them in order to beat them because of the huge amount of hp that they have and the damage that they output. This problem isn't even limited to the named enemies. Often times the goons can take out characters with a single shot.0 -
The scaling on this thing is horrible. Log in the first time, more or less doable content. Long in later, enemies take me to funkytown if I get any ideas about winning.0

Several people here seem to be in agreement that you just about need to have a character that has been acknowledged by the dev team as being broken in order to even have a chance at these missions. That sounds like a serious design issue.0 -
Without mags this one would be extremely hard.0

If you haven't already you should, especially while Loki is boosted.
Team Loki with 1* Storm. + a Tank (I've used a max Jugg or Thor) Even more fun if you use a boost to start with extra red and purple. Only used Thor's Yellow when filled. Primarily, Loki Purple, Storm Red, Storm Green, Repeat. If yellow filled, play Thor. Then Storm Green.
At one point I looked at it, Devil D and DD were both down, Hulk at 600ish, their AP count for a color topped at 6, total maybe 14. I had 20-30 for almost every color. And everyone above 75% health.
Have fun.0 -
Similar to TaT, there seems to have been a "one-time" reduction at the start of each day (24 hours after event start time).
I doubt the temporary reduction in levels will last long, if TaT served as a guide. Farm them while you can.0 -
Moonstone is more than a match 1on1 against all the characters involved except for Devil Dinosaur and Daken. I think the point of this tournament is that you're supposed to use the characters who are buffed. If you don't have at least one of them maxed you'd need Spiderman to bail you out. Heck, you even get Daken on this event for most of the fights. Make good use of his insane power when boosted. That doesn't help you on the 5000 iso mission, but you only need to beat that once. I think that mission should have a default setting before you beat it the first time, because it sure is very hard for guys who joined late.0

My Moonstone is lvl 15, and my Daken lvl 9. Not enough ISO to go round.0 -

I saw that also I just used it to pop into the number one spot in the Hard mode - Probably not going to stay there long thought but at least I hit it0 -
Mine is still 194 for some reason: no idea whats going on there.0

Is everyone else's Hard Simulator appear to be capped? My events appear to be all in multiples of 100.0
