You can't realistically stop her spamming Forcefield Crush with the doombot goons feeding, which is survivable for now (180-190 here) but by 230 will probably be one-hitting a fair chunk of anyone's roster. Wonder if that'll inspire more people to invest a year's supply of ISO into actually using her? Unlike most of these characters, we can actually have her at that level.
Also, Hulk does not have the highest HP in the game! Devil Dino does.
Since she's the only non minion in that fight it's trivial to keep her stun locked.
It'd probably suck without Spiderman, but her HP isn't exactly that high. You can also try to purposely let her get enough blue to put down her super protect tile and then turn it into a 500 strength strike tile if you got enough for Trickery.0 -
Thank you demiurge for the 5k ISO reward, it's really great0

For everyone tying to win Psylocke, if you can't clear the Hard Mode right now, go home. Seriously. There is literally exactly zero chance for anyone on Normal mode to win Psylocke, unless there are less there are less than 75 people in your bracket who have yet to clear a round (or even a partial) on Hard.
But... rubberbanding... you say? Completely irrelevant in the event.
Fun fact math time:
-- For those fast enough to see the base scores when the event started, Hard Mode base values are triple Normal Mode.
-- If Max Progression is 300k, let's say for easy math purposes that Max Score is 320k.
-- Given the above ratio, this would place a perfect score would be 80k + 240k = 320k.
Even in best rubberbanding situation, there is no way a deficit of hundreds of thousands of points can be even remotely overcome.
Thus, the 100k progression reward of Hero Points (and beyond) is likely out of the vast majority of players' reaches outside of triple 141s and a 5-blue Spidey.
TL;DR - Only the top-of-the-top have any chance of winning Psylocke because they will be hundreds of thousands of points ahead of the pack. For everyone else, well, enjoy the ISO, and fight over those Heroic tokens, because that is as good as its going to get for the rest of us on this event.0 -

With how (relatively) fast she falls down you'd probably have a fair shot with a maxed C.Storm stun, boosts, and a bit of luck. I want to say even M.Widow could pull it off, but she'd go down so fast to match damage. Maybe with Cap tanking blue for her, if those are all you have.0 -
Top of my leader board is also around 22K with highest character of Patch at 58. My biggest issue with the past few PVEs is that they are grouping newer players with the vets.
That's fine if you want to scale us all differently, but I shouldn't be competing for the same prize with someone who is going to fight opponents at 1/3 the level for the entire tournament.
I'm also not sure why this has to be a competition. That's what PvP is for. Just make those high end prizes incredibly challenging to earn that requires high level characters0 -
storm 1* spidy and im40 is what im using to take down wolv, daka, mook 230 lv combo.
storms green to generate ap plus shake up the playing field and red if theres a ton of enviromental tiles.
spidys blue for stuns.
im40 red for damage and yellow 3covers for red green and blue ap
will take a while but its fully possible to do it0 -

I'm really glad for the big ISO rewards, from what i've read last night before sleep everyone struggles with ISO nowdays.
The only thing i'm missing from this event, it's a story. I enjoyed the dialogues of Hulk and the Hunt, and let's not forget the hilarious Widow, Wolverine and Nick Fury conversations from Thick as Thieves.0 -
DJ I can answer that.
Brackets are based on time joined not difficulty....IF they were based on difficulty you would have a much worse problem I. This event....folks joining a bracket near the end where they are already behind a reset with all the enemies scaled up against them.0 -
Eddiemon wrote:Starfury wrote:Apart from the point that this new way of scaling is absolute garbage, how about the devs finally give us some information on how points and scaling works in the events.
They keep changing the rules every single event with not a freaking word to us. That's just plain unacceptable in a competetive game.
They have posted several comments about it in this very thread.
My biggest concern is that level scaling won't reset after the sub events expire, locking many people out of significant portions of the later sub events. This was the biggest problem in TaT and the even more broken Heroic Oscorp - not that enemies scaled, but that they stayed scaled for days and days.0 -

I smashed the level 190 IW earlier by using a level 60 Mags. With a few boosts and a helpful board, I was able to Translocate her **** inside 5 moves. The Doombots were a piece of cake after that. No Spidey needed for that battle IMO.0 -

At least with this Event, unlike Heroic OsCorp, it looks like the missions at least reset every couple days. Even if the scaling doesn't and I'm stuck fighting 230's the entire time the rewards reset. Using max boosts to grind 230's for 20 Iso for 6 days was HORENDOUS!0

Can someone explain something about this? Yesterday I played the Simulator Normal and completed a bunch of matches and got to the one with Devil Dinosaur. I think that team was about lvel 42 each. Today I see level 77. How does this even work??? Will it go back down? Same thing in hard mode, the Magento match was maybe 118, now its 181! 118 was at least worth a shot with my mid-level team of 80 Thor, 55 C Storm or 47 2* Wolvie, and the fill-in IM40 level 41! A lot of luck and MAYBE a shot at beating them. Now none at all... Same thing happened with other event (Daredevil maybe) right after the last big update. Can anyone explain this and should I wait to fight this? Or keep fighting? I jsut want the big ISO drop at the end of this hard mode. Is it 5k like the regular mode? Thanks!0

I got about ten pages behind on this thread overnight, but just wanted to report that my levels in Simulator Hard Mode have fallen 20-30 each since I first checked ~4 hours ago. Was thinking I would not have a shot at, say Simulator 3 (Hood/Doom/Mags), but now it's down to almost lvl 100. Whatever you are or aren't doing, community, thanks!0

Have discoverd that even at level 50, Rags is still a cheap little **** LoL. He killed my entire level 70+ 3* team in about 25 seconds0

Levels are based on global progress and your own performance. No one has seen them go down yet. Hopefully it will reset with the new sub-events.
Maybe not.
Edit: Wathombe has seen level drop but I haven't.0 -

Are you satisfied with their reply back to you?
I wrote to them through the in-game "google" email that you access by clicking on the little envelope thingy on the main page. Why did I choose to contact them that way? Well, WHY THE HELL IS THAT THE ONLY WAY TO CONTACT D3 THAT YOU CAN ACCESS IN THE GAME? I wanted to see what happens and how long the response time is; if I even receive any. I highly doubt I'll receive anything back from D3 and it will likely just perpetuate their general attitude of "FU, we realy don't care about your emails or your feedback". I've see IceIX and other posts on the formus saying to email mobilesupport@d3p.us. Anyone not on the forums is not going to know to email mobilesupport@d3p.us
It's absoutely absurd that there is no in-game explanation for how the events are scored or how anything works during these events. During Oscorp, I read 30+ pages of complaints and WTFs on this forum. Even though this event seems to be a little more fun, people still have no clue **** is going on.0 -
Just noticed the 5k iso hard match just dropped from 230s to 160s. Anyone else had this, cant see a reason why as ive done nothing. Maybe its scaling down through lack of completions by the community?0

Thanks for the feedback. So, you think best to try to do as many matches as possible as soon as event starts? Seems to be to me. Did you make it to the hard mode ISO stash to see how much it is?0 -
Having had a chance to play the event some, here's my Doctor Obvious observations vs. other PVE events :
- People like being able to use their rosters for events.
- People really like fighting varied enemies. I almost peed myself with glee after beating up my first doombot in a month and a half or so. I'd imagine I would enjoy fighting IW as well.
- People REALLY REALLY like Iso.
- People don't like being locked out of nodes. At least with The Hunt you had a few featured people you needed, so you weren't locked out of ALL the "Required hero" nodes. On top of that the featured notes were stupid hard, so I could at least deal with that. Needing Loki to be the lock key (ha!) for all of the nodes in this case annoying, especially since those are pretty much the only playable ones in hard mode that still seem to be available.
- People really don't like global scaling. If I can't beat a mission with my current roster, what makes you think I could do it in two hours when the enemies go up 100 levels? Can't you peg enemy levels to roster strength and time played? If tanking is a concern to artificially reduce difficulty, make it such that it doesn't happen unless someone is clearly having difficulty with a fight, like they're getting their top guys downed without taking out anyone.
- People REALLY REALLY don't like getting 20 Iso after fighting level 230 enemies. Similar to the point above, start off with an "easy" fight, with a 1* reward. The next fight with an identical mob, increase levels, but also increase the reward, and so on. It seems to make sense to peg any ISO rewards to your current roster level. This way people don't feel like they're wasting their time and getting screwed by bad luck and RNG.
That's all I got right now. Gonna try getting my **** handed to me by hard mode when I get home (that's what she said!).0
