Top of my leader board has 22k points and his highest Char is 58 Patch...
How is this community scaling working exactly?

My guess is its scaling more proportionally based on your mmr or roster. Levels may go up for everyone bc more people are beating it, but people see a difference in value based on mmr or roster so his lvl58 patch sees a 10% increase in difficulty still sees lvl 70 baddies to your lvl 160. Just a guess.

Highest in my hard sub has 2 lvl 85's and 20k points. I suspect he's ground out the max he'll be able to and will fall to the wayside in the next day. My roster of multiple 100+ boosted characters are struggling in the hard sub, so I can't imagine that he'll continue as he has.

Damn 22K? I got really lucky with placement then. Currently in 1st with 13K.

When did you join? I waited until about 8pm last night when I got off of work.

Yep, there were low level teams that shot right past me at the beginning despite doing two full clears of each sub. I haven't even done a full clear this refresh (just a few passes of the high point nodes) and I'm easily back in front.

A lot of people interpreted Demiurge's quote to mean that enemy levels would stay high from this round of subs to the next, but the language could just as easily have meant that scaling was persistent between the easy and the hard subs instead. I'd wager that the subs actually do reset enemy levels, allowing the lower level teams to get more rewards and progress, but not giving them an advantage over top tier rosters and grinders.

At any rate, I'm saving my non-existent indignation for when the next subs start - we'll know for sure then.

Good job devs. Looks like you got scaling working properly. I approve of this content and thanks for the easy 10k iso. For those who are whining, maybe you didn't notice the easy mode?

Scaling is working properly? Are you for real? In my "Easy" mode, the battle with Boosted Daken/XForce/Muscle is currently at level 109. I've only beaten it once. Does that sound "easy" to you? The same battle in Hard mode is against level 230 enemies. They were at 165 when I beat them yesterday. I also have a fight against 2 Bomb Techs and a Demolitionist, and that's at level 230 as well.

There's "hard" and there's "ridiculously hard". This event has certainly scaled very quickly towards the latter.

I still don't see what's so wrong with having static levels per node that increase as you beat it. Screw what the rest of the community is doing and have them affect my levels. Let me find my own ability level by seeing what battles I can win and what battles I lose against. Yes, scaling like that will probably mean those with the best teams will win the event, but I would always expect that anyway. Let me fight battles fairly, earning as much ISO as I can, so I can improve my team for the next event. I really don't see what's so wrong with that.

How do you kill 230lvl boosted Daken ? HE heals like crazy and strike tiles destroy me fast icon_e_sad.gif
And another thing, when i attack him first and loose he was ~180lvl, when i try to fight again hes ~200lvl , i quit and call it a day but this morning hes 230lvl. I thought the lvl increase from wining but i didn't fight any more between this, didn't play the game at all.
It increases from other people clearing it. You stun him or use highly control-oriented characters to keep yellow off the board, although you'll need some spectacular luck to keep that up and keep his strike tiles under control. Stunning prevents strike tile spawns and regen. No yellow on the board makes him kill himself instead of regenerating. Loki is buffed and can turn strike tiles into protect tiles of the same strength regardless of level, but once Daken's level 230 you can forget about him staying alive for more than a turn or two with any strike tiles up unless he's very high level.

    Aaaaargh.

    Soooo much whining.

Beat the missions you can, leave the ones you can't. level up and do better next time.
There will always be people complaining when the game presents them with something they can't do, it's true. This has an easy version for people who can't keep up with the hard one, and even gives the same one-off 5k ISO for the easy version - that's exactly what a load of people asked for before and since scaling, but when actually presented with it and realizing easy mode isn't going to give them much of a score they cry about not being first to get their hands on weak Punisher with **** and AP steal. I think there's still legitimate complaints about whether the dynamic scaling's doing what it's supposed to or even what real benefit it offers, but they'll tend to get lost in the flood. When The Ladder can't really be arsed, you might've misjudged your difficulty a touch. You want him to level up and do better next time? Sounds like we're due another round of "keep these filthy scrubs out of my leaderboard", anyway, so hopefully the scaling will wreck everyone soon.

I had less trouble with TaT than I anticipate from this, but I assume most of the complaining on that was from people who didn't level Patch and didn't have stun-lock.

For what it's worth, I have a **** roster and tank to keep a managable MMR and the Hard Simulator is impossible. Simulation 06 is all 230s. Fun times! I'm very glad they separated out into two brackets! good call

Yeah to be fair I pretty much joined not long after it started.
  • Spidey (5 Blue) and Punisher (5 Red) + pick you poison can pretty much own anything they throw at you.

Toughest fight for me has been the Doom/Mags/Hood battle (hard). Only one that has taken two attempts for me so far.

Hard to kill Mags before getting off a Translocation with Hood siphoning AP every effing turn. On attempt two I was able to get hood stunned and deny Mags purple. Luckily it was a black deficient board so I was able to leave Doom unstunned for a large portion of the match which made it easier to dispacth the other two.

Spidey/Punisher/IM40 is nice combo when you're not roster restricted. IM40 can replenish Spidey's stuns and Pun's retributions. After a few judgments and molotov's you can just go down the line and execute them one by one... very satisfying.

When I heard 5000 iso reward, it took every ounce of my willpower not to join during the work day. I guess patience is a virtue.

I think right know the biggest problem with this event is the main event prices. Getting 3 covers of Psylocke is going to be almost impossible, gettting two extremely difficult and getting one possible but you will need to work a lot. I think this event it is the hardest in this regard (it fas far easier in the Hullk, Ares or Patch events to get covers). But in the first day I won a ton of iso, so in this regard is great!

I still think that we need more 2* characters, Psylocke should be a 2*
  • I just want to win Psylocke because hey, Psylocke! Also her black skill sounds cool. I don't see myself getting one though.

I think that's killing everyone. Without your own 5 blue Hood or the ability to speed kill him (which is more or less impossible by now) I don't see how you'd do it without incessant stunning. Maybe OBW at a stretch, but with no buff she'll die very easily. Daredevil's steal is too unreliable and nearly no one has him leveled, anyway. The Demolitionist/Bomb Tech thingy has shot right up to 230 ahead of everything else because it's utterly trivial regardless of level, but the villains three are still only around 170.
  • At any rate, I'm saving my non-existent indignation for when the next subs start - we'll know for sure then.

I think this is the best attitude to have with this game in general. Sure I would love more information all the time but honestly what are you going to do? Other than stop playing I guess, but then none of this applies anyway.

And until those next subs start I think my strategy (after doing each mission once) is going to be: every reset, do the highest point missions in hard mode until I'm top ten in the hard/main brackets.
  • So should I start the subevents now or hold off?
  • Pretty sure Spidey nerf will occur midway in this event. 9 of top 10 in main bracket all have 5 blue spidey. That's not a coincidence.

Doubtful though possible. Spidey nerf won't happen until R48 is released, and Ice said they won't flip the nerf Spidey switch immediately once it is released.

Yep, that's my approach too! If the subs reset enemy levels, then rubberbanding will nullify most of the grinding lead. To my eyes, it doesn't really matter if you're a little bit ahead or a lot ahead right now, as long as you're ahead now you'll still have the advantage going into the stretch of each sub/entire event. If they don't reset, then your lead should be safe with minimal work as well. Either way, it saves me the trouble of grinding 20 ISO missions for 5-stacks just to stay ahead, and that's A-OK in my book.
