IM40/Spidey/Punisher is a good team for the Dakken/X-Force/Maggia node. I was able to grind it down to zero without any problems. Remember X-Force wolvie is garbage, even at high level, just keep dakken perma-stunned and be mindful of the maggia countdowns, they can sneak up on ya.
I've been running GSBW in place of Iron Man. Gives me extra board control, I don't have IM and spidey fighting for yellow tiles to web / countdown and if I have a board with limited blue then I use her purple to kill as many green tiles as possible while Daken s in a 1-2 turn stun.
Not a bad option either... I only have 3 green covers for BWGS, so she's been on my upgrade backburner (only at LV60). I like using IM40's recharge in case the board is blue deficient, and his recharge also fuels Pun's retribution or his own unibeam as the situation dictates. But use whatever is working for you. I abhor losing a character during a grind session so maintaining stun lock is paramount to my objectives.0 -
I might regret this later, but so far I'm pretty satisfied with the event. The hard missions are hard, but that's what they are supposed to be. The 5000 iso mission kicks my ****, but I honestly feel that I could win that if X-Force wasn't there, blocking my Patch. Dino and the Mag/Hood/Doom missions are tough, but doable. I like a good challenge, as long as it doesn't get too frustrating, and right now, the 5000 iso mission is the only challenge that I don't see myself overcoming.0

So is the stack reset 8 hours for this?0

I have to say I am really enjoying this tournament. sure some of the fights are super hard but I find I can get pretty high in the leaderboard by finishing up all the scraps and using my teams wisely. Even on the hard mode.
ie, have an A team that is meant to fight the hardest match that is still within your reach. B team for the rung under it, and C and D team to just farm the low hanging fruit.
I am also enjoying playing daken a lot more. I have such a bad reaction when I see his PR trigger but now that it benefits me it's much more fun.
Edit: it also doesn't hurt to have an awesome new character like Psylocke as the goal. Wasn't feeling daredevil as much as her.0 -

Think someone said in this thread or in another it was 12hr reset.0 -
So what kind of points do people have in their brackets?? im top in mine with 5589 while 10th has 4908. Not sure how the rubberbanding works or if there is any in this event. Trading points with the guy in 2nd. he will get 23, i will get 24 and vice versa. this went on for couple hours until he gave up or had to take a poo0

I'm #1 in in both the regular and hard and an like #40 overall. My whole team just Spidey stun-locked for about 10 minutes and got killed with Patch surviving with like 300 health; too lazy to use health packs, so I'm on a break...you people are CRAZY LoL
Also, I'm glad they have the IW/doombot/doombot mission worth 1000, totally easy 1000/800/600/400/200/100 points right there0 -
God Damn you LORDWILL, where did you appear from? ya dropped out of the top 10 and now your about to overtake me. I'll give you a hello kitty cookie if you stay in second0

I'm 13th in my overall bracket with 11564 and only a few hundred points out of the top 10, but the top two guys (way in front of everyone else) have 26k and 25k.
The top ranked in my easy simulator bracket has 5700, top ranked in my hard simulator bracket has 17.5k (again, way in front of everyone else- I'm 8th in that bracket with 8575). I haven't run any missions since last night, though, my points are basically from running everything once and a handful of missions twice.0 -
20.6k for first in main bracket, but got someone nipping on my heels, erodes my lead by 3k while i was at work... time to pull away!0

You should have let him just to see the hilarity that would ensue.
He probably would have created a whole new board with all that anger. Hulk Smash! Rawr.0 -
Since difficulties persist across subbrackets, isn't grinding for points now a bad thing to do when considering the rest of the event? The next sub's enemies are going to be scaled up based on how much you've beat them already, which might be a big problemo...0
-
Ugh. I played the first mission of easy mode 4 times and got 20 ISO each time. Wanted the 500 ISO reward
I'm annoyed, I'm busy with work and will be busy for most of the weekend and next week so I'm leaving thousands of ISO on the table.0 -

You would think. But apparently it doesn't matter. If your bracket has a few people grinding, they'll just make the enemies go up in levels for everyone else. Best get to it while you can.0 -
People are coming out of the woodwork asking for scaling to their roster strength now so they can compete? That's exactly what was suspected (wrongly, so we're told, but that doesn't really matter) in connection with the previous two events and this one (alt accounts still see level nothing mooks), and people were incensed by it. If you put the PvE focus on progression awards - Oscorp, whatever was wrong with it, got that right, imo - this is less of an issue, but we're back to the old structure with progression awards being nothing anyone who can get them wants, and placement being the new shiny. People who can smack down 230x3s are not well motivated by hearing they're competing directly with people who can't, but the game's going easy on them. People who can't have their own version of the event to play now. Granted, some will do both, but I would've thought time should limit that to relatively few.
The easy/hard event split hasn't significantly changed who has a shot at high placement. It's really just more honest than older events.
I do think everything I said about scaling to roster applies equally at the moment to scaling to whatever the hell this has. You can't let me beat up lv70-odd buffed Daken (in hard mode!) for 5k ISO, put him at 230 for some other guy for the same base points and award, randomly drop the levels on everything for a little while so people who happen to be on at the right time get an easy(ish) boost, put them back up to 200+ in a few more hours, and not invite a big old community "****?". It hasn't been the disaster many considered TaT and Oscorp yet, though, so with another iteration or four it might be working well. Then they can break something else.Unity wrote:bahukma wrote:MY Moonstone is at base level. Is she worth levelling throughout this event? I have been doing pretty well with my Punisher/ Spider-Man / X team.
I have her 75, her red is way better buffed as well as purple, her black still sucks. I use purple for extra damage here and their.0 -
Veracity wrote:Her black's still excessively expensive (would be less so if you could target it) but there are countdowns actually worth stealing in this event.
What I'm doing now on the hard Daken mission is just defend until I can steal a Threaten tile. When you consider the length and the difficulty of that fight, getting 17 black isn't actually very long compared to all the other alternatives.0 -

This community scaling lark means your personal grinding is just a drop in the bucket. I was kind of amused to have beaten the 5000 iso hard mission and at least a couple of other hards on 230/230/230, and found them dropped this morning to between 130 and 170.... and they are now getting back up towards 230 (and none of it because of any games I'm playing). It's kind of silly really, that how hard the missions are is based on what time of day you're playing.0 -
I'm leading with 20k in the main bracket so far. The Daken fight (simulation 4) is now level 223.0
