How many players beat Cyclops?

I played this very early and finished at #53.
I thought I'd look at my top 10 and see what kind of X-Force Wolvies won her is my top 10 (jdoe893 in first):
1.) 4/1/3 lvl 120
2.) 4/5/4/ lvl 270
3.) 5/5/3 lvl 270
4.) 3/5/5 lvl 270
5.) 4/5/2 lvl 170
6.) 3/5/3 lvl 229
7.) 3/5/2 lvl 209
8.) 5/5/3 lvl 270
9.) 5/5/3 lvl 225
10.) 5/5/3 lvl 270
Here is the list from 48-57
48.) 5/5/3 lvl 225
49.) 3/4/3 lvl 191
50.) 4/1/5 lvl 137
51.) 3/5/4 lvl 250
52.) 5/5/3 lvl 270
53.) 5/5/3 lvl 270 (me)
54.) 5/5/3 lvl 270
55.) 3/3/1 lvl 152
56.) 5/5/3 lvl 270
57.) 5/5/2 lvl 250
There are a few less covered lower level Wolvies that finished on what must have been first try. As I finished on first try.
It is definitely hard but clearly doable if you have at least >8 covers.
Be curious to see other listings.0 -
I won, but my XF is level 221 and 5/5/3. Still took me 4 tries with boosts.
Got a Surfer blue out of it too.0 -
After at least 25 attempts and taking me level 111 from 1/4/4 to level 144 1/4/5 by
- Using the ISO I had and got from the other DDQ nodes
- Selling 2* Torch to get more ISO for leveling
- Opening my taco tokens to get health packs and ISO, and luckily stumbling into a legendary token that gave me a yellow X-force
Edit: Forgot to add I got an IW for my effort.0 -
I got it first try. My XF is 553 at leavel 240. I boosted all damage (max,) G/B damage (max) and 2 G/B AP. Cyke never got a power off - the board had a decent amount of black so I just nickled and dimed him until I could SS, which took him out. I believe I got off X-Force once.0
-
2 tries. I have a Lv. 200 X-Force 5/3/2 but I pulled out an old "Retired" boost of X-Men 20% damage plus other boosted damage. I didn't check the math to see if the retired boost was effective since Cyclops was added after those boosts were put on the shelf. All I got was a Carnage green.0

I think the real bulls**t with this is giving cyclops a Thor team up. I managed to win on sixth attempt because for the first time Thor's strike and Cyclops resulting yellow gave no red. By continually stealing the red and yellow, and healing wolvie, I managed, but was down to 250 hit points at one stage. A mactehd 4 would have ended it.
And I boosted green/black AND all ap. Phew.0 -
Beat it with my 3/3/1 lvl 152 XFW. 7 tries, boosted all match-dmg 100%, g/b 50%, and g/b +2 ap0
-
I beat cyclops on the 2nd try 5,5,3 level 205 and am currently 143. I only did the 4* and was at 544 and did the 1* and went to 153. There were a lot of players at the 4* only mark.
The thing that frustrated me was that the AI got a TU but I could not bring one. 4 powers and a higher level vs lower level with 2 and 1/2 powers is tough. I understand not allowing people to use DP TU but come on give us something0 -
I managed with my 2/2/1 level 111 wolverine. Got him to 30% on my first try, cascades wrecked me on attempts 2 and 3, then I took him down on try number 4.0
-
Took me 13 tries with a 4/5/3 level 160. Used +2 g/b and +2 boost all. Spamming yellow helped a lot.0
-
I beat it on my second try with a 127 2/2/2 WXF. Boosed all match-dmg 100%, g/b +2 ap and g/b 50%. I got lucky in that the only ability Cyclops got off was one mutant revolutionary and I had several match-5s.0

I have no idea how but a guy beat it with a lv74 011 WXF.
He didn't there is no way, don't be so guilable0 -
Over 6K people have completed the node so far, about 42.5% of which have XFs under 200. There's a handful of people that completed it with a base Level 70 XF as well and a few more with a two/three cover build.
Just for the anecdotal bit of data, beat mine on attempt 2 with a GK Boost. Ran denial on Team-Up and Black AP, Surgical Strike to keep his red consumption down. He threw out Mutant Revolutionary all the time since I didn't care about him matching Yellow, but since I was keeping the TU tiles down that didn't do much.0 -
5th try with a 152 1/3/3. Boosted: all match damage 100%, g/b +2 ap and all ap +20
-
Hard to believe a lv70 did it. Match damage alone would kill him. One of those is a known sniper and most likely a cheater seeing he's got a 011 WXF lv74.
From the boards I see 7-8 cover lv 120ish is the floor.0 -

Okay, so a fully covered level 70 can beat the node on a very, very, very lucky board. *yawn*. How many times did they have to play it to pull that off though? 100?
This was advertised as a means to make the 4* transition easier. Instead we got something tailored primarily for 5* transitioners. That's kind of messed up.0 -
IceIX wrote:And my data, straight from the source is saying differently. Now, I'm not saying there are a *ton* of extremely low level players that have defeated Cyclops, just that it has been done. None of them were done without being a relatively close call on damage taken.
That's pretty cool. With only like 3k health they must have gotten pretty lucky to do that at level 70. I tried it a few time and match damage alone pretty much took me out.
Of course the fact that someone managed to do it doesn't solve the issue that most people are having with the event.0 -
Unless the lv70 focus purely on healing and leaving red and black matches for the AI, then dying for any power, it's just not possible. A lv70 would need a hundred turns to down a lv270 cyke ignoring the damage taken.
Edit: this is the guy I was talking about. Other people on line told me his snipes are way too fast. He beat the node with this WXF, not even a full covered, not even 111. Your data might not lie but this doesn't means the way he did it were by playing normally.

If you can beat this with a 3/3/1 lvl 152, then I pretty cool with the difficulty level. Also, Cyke is one of the best 3* characters, maybe we'll get blessed with less offensive powerhouses in the future.0
