Lightning Rounds - New heroes!

I don't mind this event too much. I can go in with my level 70 Patch, 60 Spidey and 45 BWGS, win some matches and then leave without caring too much about where I finish. Punisher and the Hulk are the covers I need, and I can't be bothered trying too hard for tokens to try and get them. I'll just win some matches, earn some ISO and move on.

Bingo! 3000+ players for rng chance that you *might* get the covers you need is **** imo. They were better off with the old lightning round format with 200 ppl which let you choose rounds to enter based on the covers you need. I'm sick of this ****.

The old lightning rounds have 3000+ people. It's just that 3 of the characters are basically never seen outside of LR (Loki, Ragnarok, Doom) that competition can be pretty weak at times when they're the prize.

Battle Angel's got a Daredevil!

Will probably think about diving into this with more gusto post Spidey nerf, if it makes him a touch less ubiquitous. I am so bored with fighting him, whether by using him as well or not. He turns the start of any match into the same dreary dance, and he is in every match.

I would imagine that for a pretty large amount of the player base, this really doesn't change much in the way we play Lightning Rounds. I know for myself at least, I'm just in it for the ISO. I can barely break 100 points (that's points, not rank) from being constantly attacked because I don't have a super speed team, so I'll just take the easy victory ISO to continue leveling my characters.

I feel this is even more brutal than the villain LRs ever were. I thought I had a shot at more than just some iso with my 115 Patch and 55 Punisher... Nope.

I've got a 130 Patch and put a bunch of ISO into my GSBW and Spiderman for the Oscorp event, so this event is right up my alley. I need about 1/2 of the covers available through the tokens, so I'm excited.

The funny thing about Spider-Man is that a poor Spider-Man under your control can run rings round a perfect Spider-Man under AI control because of shared web tiles. You'd still need to level him somewhat and have at least some covers, but it's one way to deal with them.

Spiderman versus Spiderman is a game of chicken. Whoever stuns first almost always loses, and the AI never backs down from a challenge.

Well I can admit I'm wrong about the amount people, but the randomness of the covers is still very annoying. Not mention all the other **** D3 has pulled in past week or so. The lack of communication is just beyond sheer stupidity...

Really like the event, i have waited for this a long time the matches are fast and you get nice iso and i can actually play them fast because my luck with villains was never great ^^ i also think the idea of the random rewards is great because after a while everyone will be more relaxed about these rounds as the villain ones

If you have little or nothing that's buffed, I think the difference is you'll struggle more against real players if you're using the loaner. Too many people have a lot of these at least part-built. The easy ISO was always about seed teams anyway, though, so yeah, that's what I'll probably still be in there for.

Oh... all my opponents have 110+ GSBW, Punisher/IM40.

And when I try and tank they lose against me on purpose, lol.

My Spidey is 2/1/4. He is basically useless as far as stunning goes.

I'd laugh if d3 set up antitanking bots or something. B@conm@gic going around losing on purpose to ppl all over the place go stop thier tanking lol.

I think a lot of people are in similar boats with respect to having these heroes completed.
