the last node joins ultron bomb dropper as the most 'puzzle'-y things in the game. i went steve/hood and both are missing a blue cover, so not perfect, but other than a bone-head mistake in round 1 (let a rocket go off), it went really well. towards the end i just wanted to pass my turn there was so much stuff on the board.

I did not get a single HP reward the entire run, hoping for them 2nd run. Most of my rewards were 100/250 ish iso.
  • Went into fifth node with Lvl 166 icon_thor.png and Lvl 166 icon_captainamerica.png and came out relatively unscathed. Get blueflag.pngicon_captainamerica.png out as soon as possible to put up protect tiles. After you take down the hero first in each wave pop purpleflag.pngicon_antman.png and let the attack tiles build up while finishing the goons to help take the heroes in the next wave. blueflag.pngicon_antman.png can help against any ninja shenanigans in the later waves.

If that's the case, have you ever considered making DDQ a 5 day event with all 5 characters available for that time period instead of only giving us 24 hrs to earn that character for the day? This way we have 5 days to grab who we need and it can be accomplished in 1 day giving us more time for the other PVE/PVP events.
DDQ has a different aim in mind that would run counter to this style of event. DDQ is designed to get players to come back every day to see who's available as that day's cover. When we implemented it, our daily player count popped up and stayed that way. As well, since people were already in the game, they also tended to look around and poke their heads in other Events too. Making it into a 5 day Event will mean that the players that can do so will beat the whole thing in one day, making it more likely that they won't log in for the other 4 (besides *maybe* Deadpool Points and the daily supply drop).

Do we really think that clearing five nodes needs 30 days?

Like, we clear how many in a week when we do gauntlet? Something like 60 nodes, and they are a lot trickier than the five nodes you threw at us today.

Will there be any tokens/vault type thing to try for more covers?

I mean, with this whole thing being about thievery, how the sweet sassy molassy did we not get a vault for this event?

He already answered this, its an event for newer players drawn in by the movie to play and get a cover of the character that likely brought their interest to the game, which is a great idea. For us grizzled vets, its a one-and-done event for a 4* with absolutely no grinding required. I'm a happy camper, this freed up what I was expecting to be a large chunk of my weekend and possibly even the next month

Just out of curiousity, do y'all think it will take a lot of people all 30 days to complete this? I enjoyed it, personally, but 30 days seems like a huge amount of time for this.
We expect most vets to get through it in a day or two between everything else to play at the moment. The main reasons it's 30 days are:
    1) To give everyone time to get the cover between all other PVE/versus events
    2) To give everyone time to farm out the Iso/HP rewards on some nodes that can certainly otherwise rock you (Deadpool likes Whales.)
    3) To give players that just start the game after seeing the movie to get rosters strong enough to get an Ant-Man cover

They just laid out the template for a 4* DDQ on a platter.

This. I would take a monthly event like this to hand out a 4* cover (weekly would be even better, but I'll take either). Heck - if monthly you are talking about twelve 4* covers per year which is far from unbalancing. Making it this event style that can be run somewhat at leisure while other events are ongoing would be truly a MASSIVE leap in the right direction for the 4* transition problem.
  • I really was expecting more out of a 30-day event, but I`ll say some of those nodes drove me nuts until I decided to slow and steady it.

    I went star.pngstar.pngstar.png Thor, star.pngstar.png BW, star.pngstar.png Storm

Thank you for the Scott cover!

icon_antman.pngblueflag.png helped me tons in the 5th node when I had it out and Sentry started round 2 with Sacrifice. Next turn I had a nice 555 point strike.png helping me out.

Seriously: going from 4*s once in a blue moon from random drops (which is how 95-99% of the playerbase gets them) to at least once per month would be amazing. Give out a 3* every day, give out a 4* every month (or week, but I'm the same - I'll take either). Very, very good.

add in the 2k progression in the shield sim, which is not hard to get, and we have a real 4* transition on our hands!

Advertising it as 30 days of Antman events built this up for the existing playerbase.

For one, this isn't 30 days of Antman events, it is one Antman event that can be cleared in less time than a single clear on an existing PvP. Like the first clear of the Mystique sub event of Rocket and Groot.

To me it is even a wasted opportunity to introduce the new players to the game. There's no vault, so it doesn't explain the new prize/reward dynamics of the game. Even if the only thing in the vault was one Antman cover.

Plus, if a newer player joins this game and tries to clear this thing within 15 days of the movie being released, that new player is going to be frustrated, even upon winning. First off, a single cover 4* sitting in your roster for four or five months before you ever get another cover is going to be a struggle for them. My first 4*, even before I ever got a 3*, was Invisible Woman Blue. Back when it cost 14 Blue Ap and just added a couple bubbles to the board. It first I was bubbling my own special tiles, because I thought, of course that's what they are for... to protect your special tiles from being destroyed, what a useful ability.

But soon you learn that a level 70 character with one cover is about half as useful as a level 35 character with 10 covers.

So yeah... this event being "geared" to the new players wasn't very well thought out.

If a new player gets this cover.. can you imagine how much easier prologue would have been? even at 1 purple cover, antman is quasi useful to new peeps. Would even help them in low level PVE's etc. pair with a 2* daken or something to add strikes ..

This could possibly be the single most useful 1 cover 4* in existence.

Forgot who I used on my first try (I think icon_blackwidow.png and icon_loki.png ) but Sentry destroyed my team right away when he came in with the second round. I was like, "This is going to be impossible!"

I went at it again with my maxed icon_beast.png and icon_blade.png hoping for lots of reds tiles on the board and that Beast might be able to bail me out once or twice with his Medical Marvel. Ant-man worked great with these two. Took a while but at the end of it my guys had most of their life left and I only used Medical Marvel once during the 3rd wave. But I had friendly special tiles ALL OVER. Hardly and of the tiles were destroyed when I fired Animal Inside at the end because there were barely and basic tiles.

Ant-Man seems good for fighting and utility. I like it!

Maybe. You certainly have the ability to pump out a whole bunch of purple attack tiles. I don't know how much damage they are going to do with only one cover. Actually I do know. He'll be putting out 2 strength 26 purple attack tiles each turn.

The level 70 loaner that they give us in the last node is actually a 5/4/4 level 70. Even then, he's still only producing 3 strength 85 attack tiles.

That's not exactly prologue breaking power.

I managed to squeek by in the last node with LCap/Hood along with Ant Man. I tended to use Ant man's powers save when there was very little red (which unfortunately was the first two waves.) I left the Hood a little exposed and he took some nasty damage in the first round - he was down to 150 hp by the third round (the AI had a Sonic Boom TU,) but I got up Cap's yellow and that saved his life for the last two rounds. He ended at 117. icon_e_smile.gif

I was expecting more - when they said 5 missions I assumed subs of some kind. Still, it was fun, and I must say I'm pretty happy with the 4* cover, eh? Great way to introduce a new character. I'm still going to play hard on EotS, but it definitely takes some pressure off that I have one cover already.
  • So, does this main page for Growth Industry just stay open for 29 more days? Or is there going to be a sub-mission or reset? I plan to mine it for all the ISO and HP, just wondering how long I will have.........

(BTW, Ant-Man and PX are scary good together).

Fixed it. icon_e_smile.gif Sorry but speak for yourself; I've never topped 1k in the shield sim, ever. But I also don't play it every day (or ever, anymore).
