I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread, but my understanding is there is a spike in new players around the release of movies/other major events? So having the event be a month long gives new players a chance to not only join and find out about it, but theoretically develop their roster to the level where they can obtain the cover.
I really like this style of event, I'd be in favour of seeing at least some future 4* releases handled this way as well.0 -
That was fun! Knocked it over in a few hours which is a shame as it wouldve been nice for it to go a bit longer. Something different to the same events over and over is always welcome.
Finished the last node with lvl 130 cap and lvl 115 Patch. Cap to get things going by taking out the Kishu and his **** caltrops. Let Antman run wild with special tiles. Then patch could let loose beserker rage with no empty purple tiles thanks to Antman it made the last node pretty easy.
Wouldnt mind an event like this with each new 4 star release.0 -
Beat it easily. Final node was Ant-Man, Patch, Loki (focus on Loki Black , Patch Green, Ant-man Purple)
Would love to see new 4 stars introduced this way always!0 -
This was great! It took me about 3 tries to beat the final node, but I did it with Steve Rogers and Hood. Daken took Hood down to around 143hp, but I didn't take any damage past the first wave thanks to shields, Hood's yellow/black, and Ant-Man's purple getting me out of some scrapes.
I also would love future **** characters to be released this way: pretty challenging, but still doable in a few hours. I was bracing myself for a tedious grind, but releasing Ant-Man this way was refreshing and awesome.0 -
got through using kamala and 3star cap america and Ant man.
Guess if u got past the first and 2nd with all 3 intact, it gets easier and easier.
Just keep using the Ant skills and you be fine.
Thanks for sharing the tips here.
Probably took much longer to figure out by myself0 -
Cleared on the second attempt, bad tactics on the first.
Cyk/Ant/KK
First time i ended the first wave by Full Blast Daken with Cyk.... forgot he would be stunned and couldn't one shot Sentry with KK. He promptly one shot the team with a Sacrifice / Supernova.
Second time One shot Daken again but still had the flamer to play around with while waiting for Cyk.
The rest of the match was Optic Blast goon, Full Blast/EmB Character, build up AP and repeat...
lvl range was 80-81 though....0 -

I think so.
because these 5 nodes are not easy, players need a good team (maxed 2 stars) and knowledge of the game mechanism to win. Beginners will feel frustration.0 -
I've been playing super-casually lately after a long break, and came to the forum for the first time in months to find advice on the fifth node...
166 Rogers and 154 Hood with some careful management and this really is pretty manageable and a lot of fun. Not going to troll the nodes for the HP, though -- repetition was one of the main things that burned me out before.0 -
Skunktrain wrote:Alright, I'm officially frustrated. Node 5 would be fine if Ant-Man wasn't at level friggin' 70. It's a long fight without having to drag through a mandatory character that is half the level of the first wave. Worse is that Ant-man is presented as a gift for the node; I feel like I have an anchor around my neck and am being asked why I don't like the present.
Having vented, I feel better did you use? I'm running a 138 Cap and a 166 Daken and can't seem to clear wave 3.0 -
Managed the last level on my part-time STEAM game with Level 68 Cap America (3/5/5) and Level 55 Kamala Khan (1/1/2) with Ant-Man doing most of the work. (+ 2 Avengers Assemble TU's).
So don't give up, it is possible with an underdeveloped team ...0 -
On wave nodes, and this goes for EotS as well, can you at least give us 20iso per wave? i mean seriously..0

Not to mention, once his purple is out.. it gets mean.. fast.0 -

I went in thinking it would be impossible with the level 70...and he quickly became the MVP of the team.
Watch out for the purple getting mean against you - Doc Oc comes on the scene and mixes those tiles, can wipe you out if unlucky/not careful.
Really wish this was a "Weekly DDQ" - maybe even running for the full week rather than 30 days. Also really wish it wasn't using personal scaling and then global scaling.0 -

Ironfist and Luke Cage and no problems...
So...what to do now, when 29 days left?0 -
Wait...was that it? I thought it was a new one each day or something...I crushed it in about an hour...it was fun, it taxed my Wave team, especially the last node since I had to use a lvl 70 (I went Falcon/CapA if memory serves).
Need moar!

100% agreed, I like this idea of being able to snag at least one new 3*/4* in case life gets in the way and you do not have time to hit every refresh perfectly or whatever the case may be0 -
Whew, I finally managed to beat the final node on my sixth try. I used 166 Captain America and 105 Hood. I nearly restarted, as the first wave went horribly - Hood was below 1,000 HP and ant-man was at half health by the end of it. Luckily I managed to get the Captain Engine revved up, and with the occasional Intimidation to get those countdowns off the board more quickly victory was attained. Ant-man's purple helped with about 600 - 1000 damage a turn. I saved yellow for Hood to use when the board got ugly.0

While I like this method, I wish there was more then one cover. I accidentally got into a bracket full of people with fully leveled 3 and 4 stars who already have 11,000 points for the event. So i'm pretty screwed as far as the pve antmen go and as far as pvp. yeah right.
Everything in this game always feels so 1 step forward and 5 steps back. So I'll be on 1 cover 4 star number... 3 now? or is it 4?0
