    Yay!!!
    Beaten node 5 with OBW and ClassicStorm.
    My 2* rocks again. Non a piece of cake, anyway, but i thought it would be impossible...

    Just got it done with Lvl 115 Falcon and Lvl 115 Mags + Loaner. Like some previous posts said about other defensive minded teams, I pretty much stopped taking damage after the 2nd round. After a few of Mags yellowcrit.png and Falcon's bolstering, it was all downhill from there

    Anyone else finish all five nodes in the event and up with only 3380 points, instead of the 3630 you need for the Ant Man cover? There are a couple of other people with 3380 points in the Growth Industry Player Leaderboard I'm in, but there are a lot of them that have the full 3630.

    I thought you may have needed to win all of the awards for all of the nodes, but it doesn't look like that's the case judging from the replies here in the forum.

    IceIX made a pretty good point over in general.. Not everyone can complete this in 30 minutes like many of us did.. plus it is re-playable for thousands of iso and a few hundred HP.

    They also want to make sure that after the movie launch (07/17) that all the new players have time to start, and get rosters built that have a chance at him.

    I don't disagree with any of that actually. And I do think it's a great way to get a new character out to lots of people. It's just the expectation setting failure. But part of that is on me for expecting more. I saw 30 day event and thought, wow! It was fun, but it was a v small event in the scheme of things.

    I really like this approach, because 30 days is more than enough time for 2* players to luck their way past the last node. icon_twisted.gif

    Okay, in all seriousness I totally understand how players with a smaller roster would have trouble with this event. You absolutely have to build a strategy around antman. Do you bring meatshields to protect him while collecting aps to trigger his power? Or do you use antman as the meatshield and down the opponents via another means.

    Or do you throw in the towel and pray for covers from events and/or vaults to get the characters to put up a better fight in node 5?

    its just a biggest joke they ever pulled, newbies good luck getting it, make a 30 day what most will just forget all about after the first 48 hours. Should of made it like ultron at least more would been able to get it

    love how they said O ITS GOING TO BE A NEW EVENT.. its not a new event it just a copy of deadpool daily where if you cant Beat the daily event your not going to beat this.

    wonder if they do a Ultron base event with the new fantastic 4 movie coming in AUG and it would of over lapped

    I still reckon 30 days is rather stretching it. A week would be suffice. Guess there's really no harm having an extra (optional) event present.

    Deadpool Daily is the same level opponents for everyone. The Ant-Man event has personal scaling so for newbies the opponents should be much lower level and the loaner Ant-Man will hit a lot harder. Relatively speaking for low level rosters.

    Personally I loved it. Made a nice change.

    I would love to see this template used as a regular 4* DDQ.

    As a 3* guy, this would give me the opportunity to build my 4* star (most of them one or two covers) to a vaguely usefull status before entering 4* transition territory.

    I've also seen a few times people willing to buy covers complaining that they had no opportunity for a first cover in each color, this would be a nice tool for that.

    Really appreciate the insult to injury by raising the scaling after getting that 20 ISO too so that the next attempt is even harder. icon_mad.gif

    I did the final node 4 times before I got a non-20iso prize, so I think you are just unlucky (more than me in any case). Thankfully I got the 25 HP prize that time, so no real need to play it just for the iso once it scales skyhigh. Good luck anyway!

    Has there been any word if the points refresh on a daily basis? As in, if you can only beat the first node, or the first and second node, you can still get Antman if you play every day (as you're still chucking small amounts of points toward the end progression)?

    It's to cover the length of the movie release. Makes perfect sense.

    Easy covers are easy covers. I can't really complain on this one.

    I expect this didn't take very much development time, so the chance that similar small, but rewarding events could pop up much more often in the future excites me.

    Alright, I'm officially frustrated. Node 5 would be fine if Ant-Man wasn't at level friggin' 70. It's a long fight without having to drag through a mandatory character that is half the level of the first wave. Worse is that Ant-man is presented as a gift for the node; I feel like I have an anchor around my neck and am being asked why I don't like the present.

    Having vented, I feel better did you use? I'm running a 138 Cap and a 166 Daken and can't seem to clear wave 3.

    That's the thing, though- even though he is only level 70, he's fully covered, and he will quite likely be very helpful in pulling you through the waves (with some luck, and if used properly). It requires some different strategy - letting enemy countdowns/abilities go off on purpose so you can steal powerful tiles, protecting him, and really taking board composition into account. His abilities are quite powerful when used well. I'm not saying it's easy - I am on my fourth attempt, but I am close - managed to make it to the fifth wave on my last attempt (using Cage and Falcon as partners), and lost because of a four-in-a-row match-five enemy cascade that not only wiped out every single one of my 12+ special tiles, but also granted enough enemy AP to turn my heavily wounded team into paste. *shrugs* Sometimes tinykitty happens.
