    1) To give everyone time to get the cover between all other PVE/versus events
    2) To give everyone time to farm out the Iso/HP rewards on some nodes that can certainly otherwise rock you (Deadpool likes Whales.)
    3) To give players that just start the game after seeing the movie to get rosters strong enough to get an Ant-Man cover

Thank your for this info, this is exactly what people want to know. Maybe throw something like this up as an announcement or something next time y'all do something like this to avoid any confusion?

Nothing planned, no. The Enemy of the State packs do have Ant-Man in them, but that's normal pack types, so not as guaranteed as a Vault is.

Not a bad idea. One of the main problems here is that I was trying to give out as much info as I could earlier while staying under a pretty strict "Can't talk about the Event" lockdown.

All right, I think I've come to terms with it. It's a nice little bonus for a few quick fights like ddq, and probably better like this. Would be a little overwhelming if it had been like ultron and we had enemy of the state at the same time.

Node descriptions were cute, and the fights were challenging, though for some reason I had to kill the devil dino wave twice.

I stomped the last node easily with LCap and IF. I damage boosted all 100% and yellow/red 50%. Once Cap gets going and you get out his defense shields it's over. Take out the stupid caltrops ninja first though or you won't have a chance to get Cap going.

    Survival node seems unbeatable.
What teams are you guys using ?
I went in thinking it would have goons like the DDQ node so I took OBW in my team of XF and CMags. It was a nightmare, but I did it on the first try. Lost OBW in wave 3, but thankfully, I had 22+ black so XF cleared the rest. Dino went down in one hit.

I can't believe that's all there is. For a 30 day event, that was pretty uneventful.

They should have tried to manage expectations a little better. I guess I'll do that on my own next time. Expect less.

    I think it's a terrific way to launch a new character - 3 or 4 star.
    Please do this again.

Getting 20 iso from nodes with rewards... still just as defeating as always...

I actually agree with this. Was dissapointed because I expected more from the 30 day event announcement, but now that I'll know what to expect, it is a good way to get the new character into people's hands.

Ah, fair enough. First rule of Fight Club and all that. icon_lol.gif

Any chance you'll run this next month with a different color cover available?
No plans at current but it's possible. Definitely want to see how the playerbase takes to this particular one first before we decide on an encore or changing it up with another character or what have you.

Personally, I really appreciate the 30 days... even with personal scaling, that last 5 wave is a bugger. icon_lol.gif

Gives all of us a fighting chance and a brand new character cover - TWO THUMBS UP!

What is the reasoning behind the can't talk about event lock down? I understand not wanting to give away some details, but surely some communicaiton would heighten excitement and head-off expectations that it's going to be something it isn't? It seems like a lose-lose. ?

    Hey Ice,

Thanks for the update. I think we all appreciate the info. Wouldn't this have been better with options to get 1 of each of his covers? Aka one event every 10 days or something that got progressively harder? That way Whales can whale, and the rest of use can at least feel like he might be useful sometime in the future. If all the event stayed open for the full 30 day window then at least the new people you spoke about would have a chance.

    Just my two cents.

    Thanks Again!

IceIX made a pretty good point over in general.. Not everyone can complete this in 30 minutes like many of us did.. plus it is re-playable for thousands of iso and a few hundred HP.

They also want to make sure that after the movie launch (07/17) that all the new players have time to start, and get rosters built that have a chance at him.

Don't look a gift 4* in the itty bitty mouth!

Just out of curiousity, do y'all think it will take a lot of people all 30 days to complete this? I enjoyed it, personally, but 30 days seems like a huge amount of time for this.

If that's the case, have you ever considered making DDQ a 5 day event with all 5 characters available for that time period instead of only giving us 24 hrs to earn that character for the day? This way we have 5 days to grab who we need and it can be accomplished in 1 day giving us more time for the other PVE/PVP events.

I hope you realize this is a shock to the player base. 30 days to finish anything that doesn't require dozens of health packs and loads of frustration is just such a foreign concept to us.

I actually have time to plan my resources? No. Something must be wrong!

As a vet I'll fully admit it's disappointing there isn't more to the event. I was hoping we'd see one of these every week for 4 weeks to illustrate the missions remark from that article earlier. That said, I really can't complain at all.

In the end this is low pressure content with meaningful rewards that's challenging to play but can be enjoyed at your own time.

I'd love to see this become a monthly thing. Kind of like how you reward a 4* for each season based on alliance progress this could act as your equivalent for solo-players or those in non-competitive alliances.

This is a great little event.

It'd be nice to see it rerun every month for a chance at another cover. Maybe something in high demand from the playerbase.

If you want to give people a stake in the event, maybe have a poll with a couple different covers to pick from, and the winning one is made available for the next month's run of the event. For next month, you could have people choose between:

    icon_ironfist.pngpurpletile.png
    icon_lukecage.pngredtile.png
    icon_hood.pngbluetile.png

12 covers a year wouldn't be a huge influx, but it would be nice for people to be able to fill specific holes in their roster, and it would be a nice gap filler if there's a lull in events (maybe open it up on the Monday after each PvP seasons).

They just laid out the template for a 4* DDQ on a platter.
