    Definitely keep one whales handy for essential 18 (bombs-away ultron, loki, and she-hulk). That may just be the hardest node to date in MPQ (still haven't heard from anyone who beat it without whales, though dkffiv said she/he did once in a simulator).

    If your scaling is quite high, then you may also want to save those other two whales for the two Iron fist nodes in global domination. Some others have struggled with cage/daken/falcon, or loki/hood/deadpool.

    With +4 AP / 2 in your weakest I've (not reliably) cleared it with Xforce 4hor and Hulkbuster / IF. Finally cleared with PX GSBW when I was able to kill She-Hulk turn 3 with a deceptive tactics that generated 5 match 5s in a row.

    The lock-all-the-top-tiles with IW to prevent Ultron from spawning bombs bug still works but its basically useless since you need 14 blue AP and the AI will end up breaking them somehow anyway.

    Won 2 out of 5 times with HB / IF, its the most reliable due to the fact that you can kill Loki with an overdrive into punch. She-Hulk is actually the most dangerous so it might be worth killing her first depending on if you're going for a lot of match 4/5's the first turn. I actually had SH cast reprieve on turn 1 due to a green cascade from Ultron clearing the bottom row which is total ****.

    Save at least one for the Ultron tetris node. That is very very difficult.

    I couldn't use whales on this because I only have enough dp for one, and I'll need it for the last essential.
    It wasn't that I couldn't think of a team; PX is the best option, but I was curious to see if anyone without a PX had gotten past it, but it looks like no one without a PX was facing lv395s.

    I finally got past it, because eventually you will luck into a favorable board and then get some lucky cascades. Was it an accomplishment? I guess you could say I'm proud I haven't thrown my phone against the wall yet, but that's about it.

    To a point. Once you get to the last couple of essentials, there's no skill at all involved. You're just pulling the arm of a slot machine, hoping it comes up purple.

    I wonder if the devs really thought we could clear the Ultron/Shehulk/Loki node with a "regular" team. Has anyone cleared it the 'normal' way yet?
    Because so far it would seem they (inadvertently??) made this a Deadpool essential. You can't clear it without a Whales ability and 28000 Deadpool points.

    It would be interesting to know how they cleared it, using what team composition and the levels of the enemies.

    Kudos to the devs for designing a "win a black HB" node where the best way to beat it legitimately is to use a 5black HB.

    Honestly Sim 40... It's only at lvl250 so i suppose i shouldn't complain about my lvl 94 capped team with under covered 3*.... icon_lol.gif At least i can try and see if StormNeto works out.

    I just legit beat IF/HB/Hood.
    They were level 342 each.
    I used maxed lazy cap along with captain marvel.
    Captain marvel soaked up a couple hits and got my red to shield throwin and it worked.
    Took down hood then if and finally HB.
    Had a couple thousand life remaining on marvel and captain at the end.

    Still looking for a non super whales way to beat Loki/sheHulk and crazy ultron

    considering how hard they wanted Ulron for a 4*, I don't expect they want many players to actually 100% complete this gauntlet

    I was number 116 icon_e_wink.gif I checked the rankings to see how many had completed it by the time i was curious enough to click on it (about 10 minutes later)

    Suggestions for Sim 32 (Falcon/Cage/Blade)? Level 192, if it helps.

    I'm thinking LCap, Loki, LThor might be a good combo....

    I managed to get the tetris ultron down no whales( only showed as three lvl 224 for me). Used LCap(5 blue 5 red 0 yellow) lvl 114 unbuffed. IW with only a yellow cover . And a mmags. +2 all ap +2 blue +2red.
    Just stunning shulk and shielding down loki( targetting bombs to put my shield cds). I managed to get 22 blue and permastun shulk to down ultron. It was like 70% a good board. But as captain did like 4k per red atk and loki had 8k for me it was viable. Hope someone gets them killed with my advice.

    Multiple people have claimed to beat Tetris Ultron in this thread without Whales. Go back a few pages. One team was using IM40 to recharge IW blue and green.

    This one was not nearly as bad as I expected. When Ultron Prime does his copy, it weakens the original and new tiles. The protect tiles were going from 400-something to less than 40. Not sure if this is intended or a bug.

    I just downed Ultron/Loki/Shulk with a good ole Hulkbomb.

    Boosted 2 g/b and 2 all colors. Started with a good green/blue board that by turn 3 was able to Rage with Patch and Force bubbled some of Ultrons bombs. Took care of Loki first then Shulk. Things got hairy at the end as Ultron one shotted IW then Hulk.

    Finally finished. I believe some folks have beaten the final essential without Whales, but I am not one of them. That node strikes me as a trillion percent luck. I had multiple attempts where I just got enough to drop Whales and with She Hulk drained either Purple or my TU AP, or else Loki board shook a bomb or 3 to the bottom and erased my team.

    Just maddening and not fun at all. I'm fine solving a puzzle, but this is not that even remotely.

    I have just completed the Gauntlet, and I just had to use Whales in the last two essential nodes, IF/Hood/Hulkbustef lvl 345 and Ultron/Loki/Shehulk lvl 395 which are super unfair and really difficult to win without Whales, so really proud icon_e_biggrin.gif

    For the most part of the event Captain America, Hood and Loki have been part of my team, CA/Loki/XForce has been a specially strong team (changing Hood for Loki in some nodes).

    And the nice 4* reward at the end of the event? Sweeeeet!

    PS: I was 140, so still not that much people has completed the third sub

    Just downed level 340 ultron, 341 loki and 341 shehulk with
    Lazy Cap and Iron man with 2 in recharge.
    boost blue, red, yellow and all ap.
    use recharge after a match, load up on red and blue ap.
    let the shields fly, loki downed first, ultron next and finally a very stunned shehulk.
    still cannot believe i did it with super whales, but it is possible!

    Now I'm getting Crushed by Scarlet Witch at Sim-20. Jeez, she has a lot more HP than you'd think she ought to. If I focus on her to try & take her out before her wretched souped-up Wind Storm hits (5 turn stun! Tinykitty! icon_evil.gif ), Thor collects enough yellow to nuke me instead (usually followed by a Blammo! from Rocket which is enough to down whoever ate the Thunder Strike). I've tried about 4 or 5 different team compositions and they all end up dead. That team has well over 20K health to chew through; that's a long time for one of Scarlet's blue tiles to resolve and charge her purple, or a cascade to hit.

    I checked; last gauntlet, I made it to SIm-32. I think I'm stuck now. Really disappointing.
