Purple/Blue/Green
Green: Circuitry Overload - 12AP - Shadowcat infiltrates and destroys the enemies' electronics systems. Turns three random environmental tiles into critical tiles, and gains environmental AP for each.
Lv2: +1 AP, Four tiles
Lv3: +1 AP, Five tiles
Lv4: +1 AP, Six tiles
Lv5: +1 AP, Seven tiles
This is really powerful. It is still reasonable, however. First shadowcat would have to
be 3 or 4 stars. Ap cost would have to be higher, and upgrades not just add
more tiles. Maybe generate double environmental ap?
Maybe. I don't like the upgrades just adding more crits either, but I couldn't think of anything. I didn't think it would be overpowered, because while 3-4 crit tiles is usually good for you, 7 becomes a bit more double-edged since the enemy will get to use at least a couple of them.
If you have a set of environmental tiles that is able to be put as 5 of a kind
and you use this ability at max you pretty much down that enemy0 -
Rogue (Modern): ***
Essence Drain (8 Purple) : Rogues grabs her target draining 10% of their max hit points and puts a countdown tile on the board, if the tile is not destroyed in 6 turns, the target regains their health, cannot reduce a targets life below 1HP
(2) +1AP, Drains 20% of their max hits points, reduces countdown tile to 5 turns
(3) +1AP, Drains 30% of their max hit points, reduces countdown tile to 4 turns
(4) +1AP, Drains 40% of their max hit points, reduces countdown tile to 3 turns
(5) + 1AP, Drains 50% of their max hit points, reduces countdown tile to 2 turns, Adds one strike tiles to the board (power is 5% of the hp drained)
Power Siphon (12 Black): Rogue Grabs one of the opposing team and siphon's off their power, reducing their AP of their highest colour total by 25%, you gain 10% of the siphoned AP. Rogue gets emotional after doing this and disappears for three turns.
(2) Increases the AP siphon to 50%
(3) Effects two colours but stuns the rest of your team for one turn (they go looking for the sulking Rogue)
(4) Increases AP siphon to 75%,
(5) Increases AP siphon to 100%, your team gains 50% of the siphoned AP
Environmental Defences (15 Blue): Rogues uses her super strength to rearrange the battlefield converting 2 environmental tiles to blue protect tiles.
(2) converts 3 tiles
(3) Increases strength to 40 base
(4) Converts 4 Tiles
(5) Also converts 1 tile to a strength 20 Red Attack tile (rogue uses pieces of the battle field as weapons), increases protect tile strength to 60
Since the two newest characters have downsides to most of their abilities, thought new ideas should mirror that.0 -

Two more from me. The terror twins of Magneto:
QUICKSILVER (**) – Avengers / Brotherhood of Evil Mutants / Mutants
Red / Yellow / Green
Red: Momentum Attack - 10 AP – Quicksilver uses his accumulated speed to attack his enemies with superhuman force. He deals 25 base damage and 20 damage for each Momentum Tile on the board. This consumes all Momentum Tiles.
-Level 2: 22 damage per Momentum Tile.
-Level 3: 25 damage per Momentum Tile.
-Level 4: 27 damage per Momentum Tile.

Max Level: 400 base damage and 250 damage per Momentum Tile.
Yellow: Superhuman Dodge – PASSIVE – Whenever there are 3 or more Momentum Tiles on the board, Quicksilver dodges incoming attacks, moving to the back of the group. Dodging Special Attacks consumes 2 Momentum Tiles, reverting them to their base color.
-Level 2: Requires 2 Momentum Tiles.
-Level 3: Instead of moving to the back to dodge, Pietro vibrates his molecules allowing the attack to pass harmlessly through him. Unless the attack affects multiple targets, no group members are harmed by the attack
-Level 4: Requires 1 Momentum Tile.
-Level 5: Stun effects placed on Pietro are reduced by 1 round for each Momentum Tile on the board.
Green: Superhuman Speed - 6 AP – Pietro charges across the battlefield, rearranging the two center rows in his wake and leaving behind a Momentum Tile.
-Level 2: Rearrange the center 3 rows.
-Level 3: Leave 2 Momentum Tiles.
-Level 4: Rearrange the center 4 rows.
-Level 5: Leave 3 Momentum Tiles.

-Level 3: Also converts 1 Countdown Tile to Wanda’s team’s control (lowest count takes precedence).
-Level 4: Hex Bolt gives the enemy team +3 temporary AP of each color.
-Level 5: Affects the entire enemy team, activating any ready ability. Only 1 ability can be activated per color (highest AP cost takes precedence). All single target effects are applied against the current target.

-Level 2: The enemy gains -1 AP for each match.
-Level 3: Wanda’s team gains +2 AP for each enemy match. Costs +2 AP more.
-Level 4: The enemy gains -2 AP for each match.
-Level 5: Wanda’s team gains +3 AP for each enemy match. Costs +2 AP more.
Black: Chaos Magic - PASSIVE – Every Black AP Wanda’s team has increases her Match Damage by 2% and the Match Damage of her allies by 1%.
-Level 2: 4% increase for Wanda; 2% for her allies.
-Level 3: 6% increase for Wanda; 3% for her allies.
-Level 4: 8% increase for Wanda; 4% for her allies.
-Level 5: 10% increase for Wanda; 5% for her allies.0 -

They've had a long history with a lot of conflicting alliances. At first they were Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, but eventually found their way onto the Avengers. In that time, Scarlet Witch has also been a member of the West Coast Avengers, Force Works, and the Secret Defenders. Meanwhile, Quicksilver has been a member of the Inhumans, X-Factor, and even the Knights of Wundagore.
But they're best know for the Brotherhood and Avengers.
Also, nice Cyclops, Generator Leon! That was the next character I was going to try, but now I'll put it on the back burner for a while and work on someone else.0 -

True. It's part of what makes him a 3* character, the drawback being the increase in cost and the chance the enemy team gets to shatter it if you don't manage to. Plus since the affected tiles are frozen, you are left with fewer mobile tiles to make a match.
I'd certainly be open to other ideas, though. Perhaps the progression could go 3x3 / 4x3 / 4x4 / 5x5.
Or:
-Level 2: Freezes a 4x4 block of tiles. Costs 1 AP more.
-Level 3: Freeze two separate 3x3 blocks. Costs 1 AP more.
-Level 4: Freezes two separate 4x4 blocks. Costs 2 AP more.
-Level 5: Iceman can move any frozen tiles that bear his symbol. Costs 1 AP more.0 -
Elixir
3 stars
Yellow 6 ap healing
Restores 2level health to allies
Level 2 +250% health restored
Level 3 +500% health restored.
Level 4 reduces stun turns of allies by 1. +2ap cost
Level 5 revives downed teammates with 2% of their maximum health. + 4 ap cost
Red 12 ap biokinetic disruption
Destroys up to ten black and yellow tiles on board, dealing damage but not generating ap. For ever yellow tile destroyed, Elixir restores 1% of each of his allies' health. For every black tile destroyed, the enemy loses 1% of their health. This ability ends the turn
Level 2 up to 20 tiles
Level 3 up to 30 tiles
Level 4 all yellow and black tiles
Level 5 does not end turn
Black 6 ap tumor generation
Drains the team's black ap, doing Level damage to the enemy team for each one. For every 6 ap drained, stuns both the target and elixir for one turn. For every 12 ap drained, creates a black attack tile on the board and reduces allies yellow ap by 6
Level 2-5 costs 1ap minimum less0 -
I'm not familiar with the Dark Reign story, only what little bits I've read on wikis and whatnot so far (It sounds like I'd enjoy it, so I'll probably end up picking up a collection of some sort eventually).
Anyway, the point is, rather than going for a wishlist of Marvel Characters I want to see, I thought I'd try and guess/theorize on highly likely characters. One that really seems to stand out as currently "missing" from the game is Namor, the Sub-Mariner. I don't really know a whole lot about him, but he seems to have had allegiance with just about every "faction" in the game.
He'd definitely have strength/powers in Blue (water) and Purple (royalty/nobility). He often serves as an anti-hero or antagonist, so I think Black makes for a good fit as his third. Not sure on powers, so I'm throwing it open. His super strength/durability is often written as being dependent on being in or near water, so perhaps a power or powers that scale on number of blue AP owned, number of blue tiles in play, or uses up all blue AP (like Ares' Green).0 -
Bishop
Can have an ability for time travel, maybe moving tiles around or board clearing.
His main one would be absorbing AP when attacked. Something passive like, damage is reduced by % amount and X AP of attack color is given to your team.
Then a powerful attack that requires a decent amount of AP which can be achieved by absorbing from the previous ability.1 -
Iceman 4 star
Deep Freeze 12 blue (turns all environmental tiles into blue tiles)
Ice Shield passive red (creates a ice shield when anyone matches red tiles)
Ice Blast 12 black (freezes whole team +1 depending on how many ice shields on board)0 -
Green Goblin 2 star
Pumpkin Bomb 6 purple (3 countdown tile on board that does 200 damage)
Glider Missiles 6 green (fires missiles that does 150 damage to whole team)
Goblin Formula 3 red (increasing green goblin's damage by 20% each dose)
Extremis Iron Man 4 star
Chest Blast 12 red (laser blast that does 800 damage)
Information download 12 yellow (gives team 6 of every color)
Reinforcements 24 blue ( iron summons 8 armors with does 750 damage the whole team and generates 8 strike and shield tiles)
Thing 3 star
Clobberin Time 12 red (smashes all blue tiles generating ap and 80 damage for each tile)
Hero passive green (thing throws himself to absorb attacks enemies attacks are lowered by 30%)
Retaliation passive black (every time thing gets attacked a black count down tile is created when reaches 0 thing attacks) similar to hulk's anger without the teammate damage
Silver Surfer 4 star
Cosmic Hole 24 purple (clearing total board and steal all colors from other team)
Wrath of Galactus 48 red (summon galactus to destroy enemy team)
Cosmic Blast 12 black (destroys all green tiles and causes 100 damage for each tile and generates ap)
Blade 4 star
Vampire bite 10 red (destroys all red tiles generates ap, adds random strike tile, 500 damage and 300 life)
Masterful Slash 6 blue (blades sword causes 900 damage to enemy and destroys one random horizontal line generating ap, but ends turn)
Guns blazing 12 purple (blade sends a fury of bullets causing the 800 damage to enemy team)0 -
I'd love to see Deadpool. He had a pretty interesting Dark Reign tie in series that would make for a cool event. Deadpool vs Dark Hawkeye... Please please make it happen!!!0

Lvl 3 Steals 2 AP of each color from your opponent
Lvl 4 Reduces AP cost by 1
Lvl 5 Steals 3 AP of each color from your opponent1 -
I'd quite like to see their Toxic Doxie / Dark Avengers Scarlet Witch / Dr June Covington.
While I don't have ranks and such thought through, I'd love her powers to be something like:
Blue: Lethargy: Enemies move slower and strike with less force. Places Protect tiles.
Yellow: Pestilence: Weakens opponents' defenses and resistance. Places Strike tiles.
Purple: Obey Me!: Opponents next (1/less ap/2/less ap/3) colour matches go to your stash instead.
That last power would have a suitably high cost, be unpredictable but potentially very versatile, either for blocking an opponent trying to activate a strong ability or feeding your own.0
