In cyclops intro they more or less said he would be coming out in an alternate format so I bet he is the 2*.

The new 2*s have been done in pairs lately (3* first; 2* not too long after) so I wouldn't be even slightly surprised.

I see Professor X's powers were different than they are now when they first appeared in the data you mine. I'm curious now, were Ragnarok's new powers like this when they first appeared?

I'm not going to bother with guesses anymore, I mean Professor X casting invisibility? possible but it wasn't a hint that made you think on him

I have no rep and no one cares, but a guy a few pages back dropped a hint "oh, that's her name?" So, Kamala, Green Goblin, and Gambit (because people like him) as a 2* (because really...he's not actually that cool).

So it's perfectly possible for there to be a 3* version of Ms. alongside a 3* version of Captain, because -- at least in the current Marvel universe -- they're treated as separate and distinct heroes, even though Carol has been both.

So for the remaining 3 characters, correct me if I'm wrong but what we know is:

3* Shapeshifter: Female, most likely next according to patch notes (and didn't a new hacker suggest she's a villain who is slightly obscure because they had to google her?)

2* Sharpshooter: not a reworking but a new character

3* or 4* Spidey Villain: not a symbiote (some people suggest Kingpin, but I think the clue would be DD villain if that was the case -- perhaps the St Patricks mention in the devs email suggested some green characters are coming)

Any other clues I missed?

The Spidey villain will most certainly be 3*, given the release trend of 4-3-3-4-3-3.

And I hope people realize by now that if a character seems too good to be true, then investment of any sort is folly.

The Spidey villain will most certainly be 3*, given the release trend of 4-3-3-4-3-3.

I'm inclined to agree with you, BUT (playing the devil's advocate) it doesn't have to be in this order, what with the 2* in the mix. I don't think the trend has to follow suit. In fact, if you count 2* as a replacement for a 3* in the pattern, then 3* then the Spidey villain could be 4* (4-3-3-4-3-2-4) -- though think they can do better than a spidey villain for the first 4* bad guy.
