I ended the first bracket at 29000 total points, so the Captain Marvel progression looks to be reachable.

I'm only going to go for Top 20 in the final results for the HP, as I'm good on Hood covers. Good luck everyone!
  • pulled a black cap marvel from 3 tokens. makes my decision not to push like a maniac for top 5 in pvp much easier.

    gokd night to all. marc

Snuck into the top 10 with less than a minute to go and pulled a black Panther cover from the token.

That makes up for all the terrible cascade shenanigans in Starfall this morning icon_e_biggrin.gif

I only got back from being out all day at like 8:40 so I rushed to do as much as I could in 20 minutes. Managed 12k, but leader is at 26! icon_e_surprised.gif

PSA to people who still haven't joined, WAIT! My bracket still only has 860 players in it. I guess I will post here once I see it's full so people know when it's safe.

I am pretty sure 1,5 days of main RB at the end will be more than enough to catch up to whatever leaders at that time and possibly overshoot them. At least last time this Heroic was run it had RB at the end; of course it was also needed to make up for the score meters kitty-fu.
But if anything's changed from the last time, it can be too much of an advantage to those who can fit 10+ refreshes in this short period (not short enough not to have RB).
  • They might have learned their lesson from Heroic DA and just make the main nodes not rubberband for the final stretch.

At any rate with the available roster it might not be very easy to make up for a large amount of points in the main bracket even if there is main bracket RB just because the characters you have to use really suck. Last time we had Patch major boosted and Modern Storm and Thor both combo well with him, and even Psylocke is serviceable as a cheap move spammer in conjunction with Berserker Rage. While scaling is likely to be lower, I don't think the enemy levels will go down enough to make up for the fact that we have some really terrible characters to use this time around.

I dunno, my 3/5/5 Patch and two 3/5/5 oBWs don't suck.

My 5/1/5 Patch doesn't suck either but when it goes bad it goes real bad icon_lol.gif

Noticed I kept off-topic posting in the FFW thread, so here:

Running 3/5/5 now and laughing at all these 5/3/5 guys who must be struggling in the current event. If they come here and say they don't, I would not believe them for a darn second.
Mine's 5/1/5 and watching everything BUT Patch die is half the fun. Getting my guys dinged up seems to keep scaling somewhat tolerable too.
I'm sorry, I think you made a typo, not 'dinged up', but 'dead' icon_razz.gif My scaling should be normal thanks to not playing much, so any losses would not help scaling much, but oBW and Falcon and even Patch himself get beaten up just fine without any extra help.

Mine is 5/3/5 only because those were the covers that have come (and I've sold at least 3 greens too). As mentioned previously, I only played for about 20 minutes, but OBW only survived like 2 or 3 fights before being downed and needing a health pack. It's ridiculously overpowered against goons though cause 'zerker rage into a couple espionage match 3s is hilarious to watch. I was also trying to finish matches as fast as possible though, so firing it off at the earliest moment left my guys a little vulnerable. To be honest though, I don't see another way to win the match without it just taking forever.

PSA ended - my bracket finally filled, so feel free to enter a pretty fresh one at your leisure. Kinda wishing I had just waited and not joined since I really need the Hood covers, but maybe rubberbanding will come save me in the end. Not sure I actually want it to though.

And now that we're all in one bracket (including at least two more Thunderkittens that I'm aware of) - ME NEED HOOD MOAR!

I not tell you I also seen EvilSonGoku in the same one icon_twisted.gif. I would guess a score for you to aim for is 60100 points since I know I am not going above 60K. If I calculate after the second sub that 60K not reachable I will stick else I push on to Red Captain Marvel reward and call it a day. I will be entering the second sub with just under 12H to go.

Looks like my frequent PvE nemesis balingbees is in here too.

Deliberately gimping a roster like that looks weird but it obviously works for them.

I am trying hard to remember what event it was but did not the last run of the event have rubber banding on the one time only nodes? I seem to remember thinking I did them
at the wrong time, i.e. should have done them just before joining the sub unlike but not 100% sure it was this Heroic.

This time as there is no banding on the one time only nodes I have already opened the sub just not join it yet.

Same. We are all bracket buddies but I am only playing as it seems 60k should be easy to hit for Cap Constipation cover. Beyond that any sub hp or main placement is just a bonus so I won't be a threat in main.

Last iteration of Heroic Oscorp had repeatable main nodes that rubberband off the main leader, though there was relatively little time available plus the scaling made it hard to take advantage of it because a lot of people couldn't beat the lazy Daken node at all.

Are you in my bracket Dave?
  • Curious to see what I would get, I opened the 10k token, the sub event token and a ** token from the daily reward. The result: Bagman, Bagman and Bagman. At this point, I can only laugh. The game is literally giving me the finger. icon_lol.gif

Can someone explain to me why the Oscorp event tokens are giving me covers I can't use in the Oscorp event? Is that normal? or what passes for normal around here.

Event tokens have been overhauled to be simply slightly tweaked heroic tokens. That is there is the same % chance of a 3*, but the odds are just slightly tilted towards the buffed one(s). In PvE events the tokens also have increased chances of pulling the buffed 2* characters as well. All characters are available and the only real difference is you will see all the newest characters in event tokens (e.g. cpt marvel, johnny storm) even though they have not been added to heroic tokens yet.

If you really want to marvel at how awful the tokens are, take a look at the % chances of pulling each character by clicking on the little "?" button on the event cover store page. You might get physically ill tough, so don't say I didn't warn you.

Any chance they will "overhaul" it back to whatever used to be? lol Well, thanks for ejumacating me and making me cry a little after looking at the "?" like you said. Now I know....
