Yeah. I don't know what happened there. I posted and it didn't show up, but on the sub forum it said I was the last poster on the topic. Space magic? Yeah. Definitely space magic. icon_razz.gif

And no sweat on the LR points. I yo-yo up and down a lot. Gotta catch that Iso. It occurs to me what I'm really doing though is stealing points from the poor unsuspecting noobs whose MMR I've tanked down into and giving them to people at the top when I retreat back down. Man, I'm an even worse person than I thought. So...umm...yeah. Enjoy the points I guess. The noob tears come free as an extra bonus. icon_twisted.gif

Guys, the first node with the 100s has no points and really is just a "play" node-- you don't even enter a bracket after completing it. Nodes after that for me are in the 50s. So actually that node is a GOOD THING. It's a mission with a loaner 5/4/4 Cap marvel boosted to 179 that can be repeated-- basically it lets you test her out. Of course rosters are limited in this heroic (can't test team synergies), but at least you can try out her as much as you want -- you can even use loaner OBW/Patch so that she will tank so you can test her yellow better.

I wonder what took them so long to add something like that, but it's certainly very helpful to see how a character will actually play more than once to help you decide whether it's worth spending more money for that character.
  • Looking at the restricted roster, I have to say that is the most lopsided Heroic roster I have ever seen.

For the top-tier players, Patch/Falcon/Marvel is going to make nodes rather easy to complete. Even easier after Starfall pays out 3-4 Marvel covers to these players.

But for the 2** crowd, their available roster is extremely painful.

They get their choice of 2** Cap (the most underpowered tank in all of 2** land, whose only worth in this event is clearing CD tiles slowly) or IM35 (who is arguably semi-useful as 1* boosted character with defense tile generation). CStorm is the only Green user available, which is going to be rather hard on her rather squishy health pool. Her Wind Storm is pretty much the only cannon available to them. OBW is useful, but True Healing is really going to hurt her playtime as well. 1* Hawkeye can be a wildcard with crit tile generation, if needed.

I feel for the 1* and 2** players, because this week's PvE is really really going to suck for them :/

2* players don't need Hood covers. I need Hood covers.

I do agree that hood isn't really a great transition 3* hero-- he's really strong, but only as a support to your main heroes (which will still be 2*s for transition guys).

For a change I'm going to be selfish too. Need those blue covers!

Was this the one that shut off rubberband in the last 12 hours for the main nodes that open up? Not that they're necessarily keeping the same rules each time. It is calvinball after all.

Okay I was rolling at the calvinball reference. I'd like to see the rubberband shut off completely but that sure as tinykitty won't happen. At least now I can get one of those Hood covers all you longer time players have been talking about.

Hey, hey, HEY! We do too need Hood covers! We need to break out of 2* covers somehow! This is.....well, a tinykitty event but still!
  • My Hood is sitting at 5/5/2, so only needs a black cover (or possibly three to go 3/5/5). If the rubberbanding allows me to grab the Captain Marvel at the top, I'll do it, but I'm not going to work overly hard at it. Getting 4 covers for her in the last event was a brutal slog, even with a slightly late start. I'm not going to grind away for one more when I can hopefully pick up some in Sentry pvp.

My hood is 5/5/2 and was actually what started my transition to 3*. He's also been helping a lot in pve against goons with his leeching.
  • Hm, I have 0 interest in Hood covers, but I very much want that marvelous cover at 60k.
Fingers crossed that 60k will actually be within my reach, with that limited roster and all.
  • Falcon isn't that strong in this roster because there isn't anyone that can create strike tiles without a huge drawback (Patch), and Patch isn't paired up with anyone who have cheap moves (no Modern Storm here).
  • I think a combo of patch and cstorm would be good.. Zerker rage followed by windstorm should clean most enemy teams icon_e_biggrin.gif

Now if only scaling would be a nice boy and don't go too high.. icon_e_biggrin.gif

I don't think that he's on the limited roster selection?

1 pass through and my stuff is already over 100 and I have no available 3 stars over 50 (unbuffed) who are usable in this icon_razz.gif

How lazy were you going to be? Skip 90% of the whole event or just entering the first sub super late?

Can u confirm the day and time when the first sub ends?

    Thanks

They're 36 hours according to someone in my alliance crazy enough to join already so there's about 1 day 15 1/2 hours remaining as of the time of this edit (@12:24 GMT)
