Went to bed last night at #1 in my bracket. Woke up this morning still at #1. I love no rubberbanding. icon_e_biggrin.gif
Feel free to slow down icon_e_biggrin.gif

Some of us have slowed down so much we have nearly stopped. Done each node once in the last 23H might do a few more tonight might not. And Vudu3 is not playing that hard as they are at least 6K behind the global leader.
  • Hello, everyone, I just had a few quick questions. Sorry if some of them are obvious I've only been playing for a few days and this is my first event.

I am currently rank 4, and expect to drop down pretty far pretty fast (I did with the Fight or Flight thing too because I misunderstood shields icon_e_confused.gif ), but I'm also not that far from #1

In general is it better to wait until a mission is available for full points or just keep spamming them until my eyes bleed? I can tell you don't get as many points, but I wasn't sure if the amount of points continuously degrades or not.

Also for these things and for the PvP rewards is it better to start ASAP or wait until the end of the event? For example, the Cage Match event I haven't started yet. My roster isn't leveled very high so I usually only aim for the recruit tokens at 50-100 anyway, but I did fill out my roster a bit yesterday and am now trying to focus on leveling some.

At this point, just wait until the points values max out. In the last 6 hours grind them down as much as you can.

First of all regarding PvE you won't drop due to shields because there aren't any and no other players attack your personal points in PvE, so if you keep going today top 10 should be possible for you. Secondly, you should wait. Point values not only increase because you allow them to return to their full base value, but also because rubberbanding gives you more points per node if the leader is further ahead of you. So if you wait while the leader grinds you'll end up with more points (although tbh I started very late so I don't know exactly how rb is on this event). Then when there are only a few hours left (usually 4 for me), you grind them as much as you can

Regarding PvP, I usually start with ~18 hours left when I'm trying to place top 25 (top 5 is just ridiculous to attain right now.) But in your case if you just go for the token and want Iso, then it would make sense to start early, go as high as you possibly can getting Iso on the way, then go unshielded and get hit back down... and then go back up, for even more Iso, repeating this as many times as you want/need.
  • Well, I mean getting the other rewards would be nice, but (until last night) I only had Modern Thor and Incredible Hulk at level 40 and the rest of my team was ~25 so it wasn't long until I was getting crush by people with ~80-100 level characters. At one point I was ~41 and was excited to get Patch. After quickly dropping to mid 50s I bought a day shield thinking "oh I can't get attacked so I won't lose rank" whoops.
  • For PvE, every attack adds 2.5 hours to the time until maximum points, so try to plan ahead. If you can play again in 2.5 or 3 hours, then hit each node once. If you are going to bed, hit each node 3 times and in 7.5 hours it will be back to full. Better to get as many attacks in on full point nodes as possible, is my opinion.
  • Question about scoring: how is this possible:

I grind every node on the main board and the subs right up until termination of the event (often scoring in the top five on the subs), yet the leader on the main event is more than 15,000 points ahead of me (90,0000 vs me @ 75,000).

    What am I missing?????

Do you take time to sleep? They may not.
  • that doesn't make any sense - there's still not enough point to earn to get 15K higher than me....
  • Could be different starting times on overall event and each sub-event
  • That also doesn't make sense, as I'm scored as #1, and #3 on the subevents. No one was more than 1000K higher than me, let alone 15K higher
  • I scored top 5 in the second sub-event, but I didn't enter until 30 hours after it started. So there were lots of people that could have scored higher than my point total, without placing higher in the sub-event.

Also, there are 200 people per sub-event bracket and 1000 per event bracket
  • Ah....I get it now! Thanks!!

It depends greatly on the sub, in passed events I won 200 player subs by over 5K points before. If you are after a good placement in the main bracket do not look at where you are in the subs but how well your doing in the main.
  • In events with no rubberband you'll find that some people play way more than what you think is even possible.

I remember seeing an article for this ultra long distance endurance was won by this old guy who brainwashed himself into thinking he's fleeing some kind of alien invasion that's about to kill him so he never slept the whole way, and sure there are guys way more fit than him but when you don't need to sleep, it's very easy to pull a huge lead. This happens in gaming all the time too.

Guys, it's strange...I played my nodes seven hours ago. Now the countdown timer is going nuts. I checked it and it said twelve minutes, later on it said fifteen, and now it's higher still, and I'm not even playing! Is this happening to anyone else?

Nah my essentials are counting down normally. Restart your device? Usually helps in these cases.

Are you overlooking the hours remaining? Maybe the first time it was 5h12m and the second is was 4h15m?

I had that happen to me. I just force shut down the app.

Just having a game with enemy Bullseye. He had two protect tiles out. He died, they disappeared.

    That was weird and new.
