Looks like eight more seasons tracked there.

Last season: rushed to champ Thanos, opened hoard to get more levels on him - opened 3 Thanos and last 4 BP I needed, so forced to hoard again. Got to where I could champ BP late in season and opened 2nd part of hoard (fully) - pulled no BP and forced into two 4* champs, started hoarding 3rd time for final week of season.

3* changes: SL rostered, not champed. Three 266 (+2, Cage/Grocket), all three dupes started. Patch/BPKK/Mag/SG/BE/Blade/Cap/Rag/BW all 255+, all BH until I stop chasing LT.

4* changes C&D rostered. 37 champed (+2: Gwenpool, Mordo). 9 at 172 (+duck).

Vaulted 4* status: Unchamped Wasp about to join my six other ignored , vaulted 4*'s (PX/WM/GR/IW/Drax/MrF [/Duck]). Drew to champ BP - instead drew SEVEN Gwenpool and SEVEN Mordo - raced to champ both. Venom/Riri unchamped with 13 covers, IF/C&D don't have 13.

5* changes: No daily drop and haven't pulled a classic for three seasons, no changes there. Thanos 453 (+3), 3/5/45BP (+4, one was bonus hero), HE 1/3/2 (+6). No 5k iso [whoops, I mean no SL]

Will pull latests the day before DD leaves to get one for PVE, or before if he's featured. Holding 21 latest since the day DD came in.

5*: Started holding LT's when SL left: Gambit and DD not rostered. Weak Spidey, probably will pull for one DD and then open more seriously for Gambit + next two. Hoarded CP after classic-gate "mistake", but used it on fan favorite tokens, which were good for me:

Next season: keep hoarding I guess. With three covers on Spidey and one on DD, probably makes the most sense to hoard for Gambit/Thor/3rd. Hoard ISO as well to get ready for those, currently at 950k.

....honestly, game is getting boring, and you can see it right here. Only 5*'s matter, and classic dilution kills any "progress" on getting them bigger. 4*'s matter only when basically maxed AND boosted, the drop rate on them is so slow that getting more than a couple that way is nearly impossible. "Hoard for next 5*" and "Play against boosted 5* that you don't have" gets REALLY old, REALLY fast.

As I said last time Gambit = God(mode) and so I based the season on that principle

3* 36x266 (-2; needed iso). 36 dupe copies champed (+4)...except I sold 3-5 (I forget) max champ copies so some of these aren't dupes anymore. Honestly the 3*'s are almost irrelevant if they are going to do half the PVP's as 4*'s, and the 3*/4* PVE essentials are the same difficulty....Maybe one more dupe that will need ISO next season, BH set only on 3* godmode Gambit (212) and have my 0/0/5 level 89 pile of sillyness already built.

4*: Everyone finished that could be possible. I started pulling to get Gambit asap and finished all of the ones in tokens, didn't want to waste the covers. + champ Rogue/Yondu/Mockingbird/Wasp/Nightcrawler. 3/4/5 (finally not purple) duck, 1/4/5 Hulk, 1/4/3 Nico are only three not champed. Carol hit max, haven't started 2nd copy. Moving BH around for LT's, in chase of godmode Gambit.


5*: Broke hoard from last time when Thor came in to try to get godmode Gambit, stopped after 13 (needed two different swaps) DD and many 4*'s to champ. Re-hoarded for a bit, then was convinced to sell 3*'s instead and did so. DD 455 (+17) godmode Gambit 453 (+12 +1 BH) (Only BH, as he should be for every player in the game that doesn't have a 550 copy), Thor 1/5/3 (+9). Hulk drop-day today makes him 2/5/2 (+1), Thanos 476 (+2 from 4* champ), Bolt 452 (+4 from 4* champ),

Next season: continue to use all CP and chase all LT's from 3*/4* until Gambit is gone from latest. I champed him and it literally was god-mode on, overnight. Easy to attack other Gambits, easy to float higher since non-gambits rarely attack you. No question at all about replacing 462 Phx with 453 Gambit. in PVP I replaced 469 Panther as soon as I hit 450 Gambit, no question.

The biggest roster question I have is do I run 476/469 Panthos + Gambit or 456 Strange/452 Bolt with Gambit to further increase his god-modeness. TO consider removing 476 with a 452 just to help Gambit out? No balance issues at all.

Continued the search for Gambit this season, so I could continue to compete in Gambit Puzzle Quest.

4* Once you stop pulling for 5*'s, 4*'s also stop increasing. Unchamped but max-capped: Kraven 3/3/5 BP 1/4/3 Shuri 3/2/5. Was still BH'ing for LT's but put it on Rogue for now.

3* Nothing waiting for extra covers, weird. 38 x 266 (+0), 48x champed but not maxed. About half getting to the 240 range, so they should accelerate my LT's shortly - which is what happened the first time to pick up a big Panthos.

2* With nothing to "go" for (2/3/4 all maxed), rostering extras here for ISO/Roster slot bank. 22 x 144 currently.

I pulled one LT to get GR and it took 14 to get JJ. In those 14 I pulled five 5*, including a BH so Gambit progress continued miraculously! How sad that the other four I didn't care about -at all-, I would have been excited if it was Gambit/Thor/DD I was pulling.

(3* Gambit PVP was the most fun I've had in several seasons, since something was slightly different....)

I've been hoarding heroics for a rainy day, opened a bunch to get Hulk bigger (one of the 3*'s I sold max-champ because I needed to complete Gambit + DD + Thor all at once). Ended up pulling more 4* BH than 3*, go figure.

5* Like most, no BP from brand new BP feeding 5*, go figure. 457 OML (+3 from feeder),

4* Valkyrie, BP both finished from BH pulls. Only Jubilee (3/3/2) not champed. 45x champed but not maxed (-3), two re-rosted and unchamped. Many getting to/above that 257 mark where the rewards really ramp up.

3* 42 x 266 (+2)

Supports - I dunno, I have a couple I guess? Do these matter, since I don't play PVE for placement so being slightly faster doesn't matter to me? Let me know when it does matter - when the RNG-horrible nature of these burns me along with everyone else.

Old Cap feeder finished him with +4 (champed to 452), bought an IM cover so a good feeder would finish him and maxed for new character release (5/4/2 420). +2 SS (457) probably from daily drops over last few seasons?

Continue using Gambit until his nerf comes, at which point while he's the 3rd highest level on my roster he'll be about the 12th best character, nerfed to oblivion. I already have moved BH onto Thanos, could go onto 455 Thor.

Well, guess what happened?!? Gambit suddenly became not the BH for 99.5% of people, shocking!

Day 913 (I just got a reward of a Jean Grey Phoenix a few days ago now).

Roster slots: 139/139

No 5 star champions (just getting into 5 star tier). I have a smaller number of covers on 5-stars because I sold many of the ones I received early on when my roster was weaker because they put me in higher tiers of opponents in PVP. Now that I have a solid selection of 4-stars, I'm less reticent to begin transitioning to a few 5-stars, with Jessica Jones, Cap Infinity War and Okoye being some of the lucky pulls I've gotten from covers, with multiple powers for each. Spider-Man 5 star is my bonus hero in that tier, as I have two covers for him and a Vulture that's getting close to providing me my next free covers of him. 

4 stars: Have all of the 4-stars, aside from Howard and Devil (limited covers/events means you aren't welcome on my roster). Champed 29 of them currently (Gwenpool was my latest after she made it to 13 covers).
I have seven on my roster right now sitting at 12 covers, and am torn on who will be my next champed 4-star. Should I push for Shuri and her fortifying tiles boosts (11 covers right now), or wait for my Black Panther to catch up and champion them both at about that time (He's at eight covers now)? Or push for one more from Valkyrie and the bounty hunting pursuit of targets she provides? Maybe pray to the RNG gods for a Medusa cover for the stealing of enemy special tiles and healing when her teams tiles are destroyed and the synergy she provides to GRocket and G4mora teams? Professor Xavier? Spider-Woman? Ant-Man? I have maybe three or four of those as my current bonus heroes at the 4-star level probably diluting my chances of getting any of them and showing my uncertainty on who I want to champ next. I'm leaning getting Valkyrie at least to the 209 level, in case she comes up for another SHIELD Training event required hero, though, for at least the interim, so that's my goal for the next few weeks. I'm also hoping for more covers for Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales and Iron Spider to have a trifecta of Web Warriors to see if that team can be fun to play. 

3 stars: Had them all champed at one point, but sold a few after they reached max champ progression or the rewards I wanted I got from them had concluded and I could use the ISO more. A few are back to 13 covers, but not championed. My Deadpool is approaching 266 covers, and I don't know that I want to sell him, even with a dupe, as it's nice to have an instant winner on speed dial for some events. My Doc Strange dupe, (my first 3-star to reach 266 and be sold), is now back at 251 covers, and is my current 3-star Bonus Hero. That's helped him definitely rise through the ranks.

2 stars: Have them all as an active farm, with the ones at the top being sold the minute I have their replacement covers. I use that 60,000 ISO boost to raise a 13 cover 2-star back to gaining champ level rewards. The ISO goes toward buying more roster slots.

Focusing on Peggy at the moment so I can hopefully stop running from her in PVP. After that it will probably be Fury. Being on day 412, I'm getting Fury from Daily Resupply in a couple weeks. I champ 4s about every 7-10 days, assuming I'm not trying to rebuild my 2* farm or the current PVE event isn't starving me of ISO like The Gauntlet.

Almost teared up reading this. This was March of this year, so it's been 9 months since this post. I'm definitely no longer a transitioner lol. I have a deep 4* roster now at 43 champs strong, and Rhodey will be #44 in a matter of days. I began 2017 having just finished the 3-star tier (at the time) and 0 4-star champs, and I had a goal of 40 for the year, so every extra one now is just about closing the gap and getting ahead of the release schedule. I've even got max champed 3s in the double digits now, and have champed both an IM40 and Patch 2.0. At this point my goal is fully champing the 4-star tier, which is a much more elusive goal than finishing the 3s were. New 3-star releases are few and far between, and 3s cost much less iso to get champed, so that target wasn't moving too fast. 4-stars on the other hand come out almost every 2 weeks, and it takes me about 1.5 weeks still to champ them. And this is including the iso increase from Shield Rank. There will be 17 left to go after I handle War Machine, so I'm anticipating I'll be through them all by the summer. We'll see!

Just champed America this morning at #52, but I had to sell off a 144 2-star to get it in time for the expiring cover. I was on a nice pace of champing at least 1 4-star every week, but at this point the 3-star farm is just growing up way faster than I can keep up with. I have 24 max 3-star champs, and a handful that are Lv 255+. 9 of them have duplicates ready to be champed. I told myself I will focus on the 3-stars that have 2-star feeders first, then actually finish a 2-star farm. I have just been running with 6 2-star champs, and I want to get back to a farm where no 2-star covers were wasted.

This will inevitably slow down my mission to champ all 4s and get ahead of the release schedule, but having the bottom tiers completely finished will allow me to get champ levels and thus all kinds of resources at a much quicker rate. Still looking to probably be ready for 5-star Land in the summer. 

I accomplished my goal of getting my 2-star farm fully up and running again - and thanks to the Offseason PVP that even includes a champed Bagman! I've flipped OBW, Moonstone, and 2-Cap so far, but I've got a few more that are sitting at 144. The covers for the dupes actually aren't coming as fast as I hoped, so I've been juggling roster spots to build dupes. On another note, that 24 Max 3-star Champs has now grown to 36, with another 6 that are Lv 260+. The only ones below Lv 257 are the 3 newest (Elektra, Gambit, Angel), but thanks to Bonus Heroes I've gotten them all above 200 at least. As far as their dupes go, I've re-champed 17 dupe 3-stars so far, with another 8 that are fully covered. I had been re-champing 3s back to back, focusing exclusively on the 2-star feeders and those with large amounts of covers waiting. Out of the feeder 3s, just Bulls3y3 (literally as of this moment) and Spider-Man (I've already gotten a cover from BagMan so gotta count him) are still remaining that are fully covered. My backup Ragnarok and Hawkguy still need more covers. 

Now as far as 4s go, I've managed to champ 2 more before all this: Kate Bishop and Winter Soldier (54 total). They were the last 4s on the 2 -> 3 -> 4 champ reward track that I hadn't gotten to, so I for sure wanted to have that tree producing fruit on all branches at all times. Thing is though, I've decided to abandon ship on this for a while and get back to 4s. I might still champ a 3 here and there if the situation demands, but I've started to feel like I'm falling behind on 4s, which is moving the endgame farther away. I broke away to 3s in the first place because I was pulling so many covers that were just sitting on the vine, but I've champed a decent enough number of them now where waste isn't so egregious. Sure I'm likely about dump 4 SWitch covers in favor of champing Kraven of all of people, when I'm sitting on enough iso to champ her now, but she isn't going anywhere. More importantly, if I can get over my OCD, I could just let myself sell off her 266 version to champ the dupe lol. But yeah I've changed philosophies for the time being to focus on a top-down approach to who gets champed as opposed to down-up. Some of the 3-star dupes that I champed feed 4s who I don't have champed, which was an issue for me as well.

There's still a possibility I'd be ready for 5s in the summer, but it's looking more like the end of summer now thanks to the 3-star pitstop.

I'm temporarily done with the 4-star tier, unless I finally pull a green Jubilee cover that will let me champ her. Black Widow is probably the worst start I've gotten for a 4-star character since I came back to the game. Missed out on t20 placement, Alliance didn't make t100 due to last minute tomfoolery, didn't have everyone champed for SHIELD Training, and didn't make progression in her PVP. Needless to say it'll be a while before she's ready to be champed lol. I've just gotten back to champing my 3-star dupes, just going in order of who's covers are closest to expiring or who has the most on the vine. I finally let some 266s go while finishing up my 4s, but the grapevine talk is that this new supposed feature may allow you to still gain resources from your max champed characters. I've still got a stable of about 36 max champed 3s, and I haven't sold anyone that didn't have a dupe champed, but these are going to be some tough choices to make. I can start thinking about putting some iso in my fully covered 5s.

Boy has a lot changed since this  update. The saved cover feature, as well as the return to full dilution in classic/legendary packs were they big ones, as they have had a drastic impact on my roster progression plans. Let me first say that I've completely finished champing dupes in the 3-star tier, so both the 2-star and 3-star farms are now running on all cylinders. As of this very moment I have a completely empty vine - which isn't unprecedented, but certainly only has happened on extremely rare occasions. The update of the cover save feature to also allow you to store covers for fully a covered character was HUGE for me. On the other hand, the return to full dilution means that finishing the 4-star tier is now going to be a constantly moving target. Covering characters isn't going to be impossible, just a much longer process than I've grown accustomed to. When I realized how out of reach some of these characters might be for a while, I seriously considered moving on to 5s, but the Gambit nerf also halted that. My current focus now is just getting the new 4s fully covered. I recently finished off Wiccan and champed him (#64) thanks to making T10 in that recent PVE.

Black Widow: 4/3/3 - Normally wouldn't have listed someone at 10 covers, but with this new champ reward updated, my Blonde Widow will finish her off at 320. Just don't have Blondie champed yet. 

Kinda scary when I think about how close I am to having a pretty nice stable of fully covered 5s. Had they not returned to full dilution and left it so hard to cover the new 4s specifically, I'd probably have everyone except Emma and Howard fully covered and would feel comfortable moving up to 5s. There was also the Gambit nerf, which deterred me from champing him with confidence and never looking back. Time to go back to being cautious and trying to hoard what I can. I'd abandoned hoarding completely because I essentially didn't have to worry about any more cover waste, and was pulling just about every day. However while that is true, I feel better about my odds by saving up a huge hoard and just trying to get as many lucky pulls and Bonus Heroes as I can. Feels like I'm shortchanging myself when I only pull once or twice at a time. That exact method allowed me to get LumberCap as close as he is though, so I suppose its not all bad. In either case, I'm gonna hoard what little I can for this "Right To Rule" store to get some Loki/Thor covers, but then after that back to hoarding like normal.

Really walking that tightrope as I try to focus on 4s. 

2s: Farm is looking good. Actually started some dupe champs as a sort of an iso bank in case I need it to rechamp 3s or finish a 4. 

1s: Only Juggs and a single cover of everyone else as placeholders because I have more slots than characters still after the slot sale.

5*: I did max-cover Jess (+3 saved). Angel and Robbie got 11 each. Current goal is Okoye who is 3/5/4 with ~240 pulls saved. Waiting to see if Shuri is named a feeder during this 10 year anniversary before pulling for the last one. If she is, I can hoard until Loki is set to leave and reassess what to do with what will by then be a beefy hoard!

4*: Done! Ever single 4* is champed with the exception of Emma, who only has 5 covers. 

3*: With all other tiers done for my purposes (and cover saves a thing), this is where all my iso is focused. I popped open all the standards, elites and a large chunk of heroics I had hoarded (it was a lot!) and now open as I get them (saving the rest of my heroics until Emma cycles in).  I have 17 (out of 47) left to rechamp (keeping my max champs). Out of those 17, 8 are rerostered and all but one are max-covered. Iso debt here is 2.17 million. 

2*: Super done! Excluding Bags (one max champ one level 113 champ), I have two max-champs of everyone and a third just for farming that I keep max-covered, save 50 covers, champ, sell and reroster. Working beautifully!

Okoye is 7/3/3, Wasp 3/1/3, Loki 1/1/1, the rest feel increasingly irrelevant. 7 more Iron Spider covers would let me champ BSSM, but why bother. 
Still, now that Gambit snore fest is gone and I have JJ and Thor, the Thanos hegemony has been well and truely broken, so Pve is for him and DD, but pvp is other teams (though mostly JJ/Thor).

September 2018 UPDATE

My hoard goes on (60 LTs, 3.4k CP). I´m planning to release my hoard once I know which 5* character will replace Okoye.

Haven't done one of these in a millennia it feels like. Shield rank 122, day 630 something. 40 4* champs, 8 fully covered 4s needing to be champed, another 7 on the cusp of getting their 13th cover from champ rewards, Anniversary or daily resupply. Currently focusing on getting undercovered 4s to 10 covers so that they qualify for Shield Training and pumping iso into 4s to get them to 209 and then slowly champ 4s. Meanwhile my 3s are maxing out and wanting iso to champ their dupes but that's not gonna be happening anytime soon. Deal with it, 3s.
