My prediction is that they will just give us all the rewards as compensation for being late. Maybe they even are "late" on purpose so they can have a reason to give us all the rewards besides a participation trophy reason.

Call me cynical, but I doubt they'd give a power stone to every player when they are going to add them in PvP. I think the tier 4 rewards were really good and generous. I'm really happy with those.

I don’t think they’ll give us a power stone for failing, but I wonder about your line of thinking. Power stones are going to be potentially very unbalancing in PVP. I always thought they were going to try to find a way to make the stones more accessible to level the playing field. Now I suspected it would be a cash option, so I was pleasantly surprised when this event first came out, but now the cash option seems inevitable. The cynic in me even wonders if they were hoping everyone would get a power stone so there would be less complaining when they sell the other stones for cash. (Hey we gave everyone the best stone for free!)

Yes, I did mean they wouldn't give everyone a stone for failing, nor that they wouldn't had we succeeded!

I don't think selling the stones would be a great idea, certainly not early on. I'd at least expect it to be tied to the 10th Anniversary to get maybe 1 in a vault. But once everyone has all the stones, it becomes a bit of "what is there left to sell?" beyond new characters and roster slots?

I'm pretty sure they'll find ways to keep selling supports - they're well on the way to monetizing them, they're regularly scheduled monthly releases now.

Just got a part of the rewards. 3 starlord 3 star covers, 40k iso, and 20k red iso.

Did they ever confirm what tier they are paying out?

Nope, I'm assuming they are giving us up to tier 4 since that's what we hit and they haven't said anything about giving out tier 5 as either a participation trophy reward or compensation for taking so long.

    Didn't think so, lol

The ISO rewards they’ve given are the totals for tiers one to four. I am taking it that those are what we’re getting and the rest of the covers will follow.

It's amazing that technology improved so much but they still have to commit a lot of resources for just giving general rewards.

My guess is that they are trials in place to see what drive up playing, engagement and spending. No point developing a reward distribution system for community events if they don't work to do any of those three things and they won't be used. Find the right outcome and build the thing that delivers it.

First of any of these things they should announce it effectively in game, then reminders in game too, also the bar showing progress could be in game too.
Also the time they extended rightly announced.
And once you have all the players aknowleging the challenge, progress, rewards and everything else, then you can do trials about their behaviour.

Maybe we can stop sending things out right when s2 PVE starts, @IceIX pretty please?

There are at least 6 of us to send these to, dude, give 'em some time!

Well, totally botching the roll-out of rewards should ABSOLUTELY drive up engagement.

I didn't say I agreed with the strategy (though it does make sense from a resource perspective). I think this is the balance between wanting new stuff and wanting stuff that works well. I do like the fact that new things are being tried, and I'm not really bothered about waiting a few days for a free set of rewards for not doing anything different. I'd rather that than wait months for a slick rewards distribution system that gave me them immediately, but have 5 months fewer rewards.

Of course that doesn't apply to everything and there are some features that I'd rather time was taken over and delivered without flaws. This just isn't one I'm going to complain about.
