Question on Forum Rules

These specific questions from the OP:
I'm perplexed. If the game is able to run faster on one device, platform, or software (e.g. iOS vs Android, PC vs mobile device), why is that not an allowed forum discussion topic? Can someone point me to the forum rule that makes that discussion a violation? I've read the posted rules and just don't see it.

I spend $9.99 on VIP I get a daily reward and faster healing. The end.I support the game with my money but unlike you don’t believe it gives me a right to any placement or reward.
Why are you so cemented in this high horse position? Nobody is saying "I spend money get special treatment". They are just asking that a speed hack where the game shouldn't perform considerably differently be fixed or removed.
You've made it some kind of burn the elites discussion.
Then go look at the alliance leaderboard and compare.
Almost every name is at or near the top of the optimal curve in PvE.
All of them have a roster that looks like they have spent their share of money to get it.The players upset about this are the elite spenders.
Ask yourself why?
Because someone else who they deem as not having spent enough has nudged them from their entitled placement. So they are running around trying to get a middle of the road player like me to make their case.Guess what? Who finishes in the t100 won’t change my game experience one tiny bit. They can’t even have the strength of will to stop spending money. I found an alliance called Sale Buy on the pvp alliance leaderboard.Of course this is the richest 1% of MPQ trying to convince everyone else of the purity of their cause. After it has been submitted to the devs. After these players continue to nudge them from their entitlements. They didn’t get the result they wanted and now they want the weight of public opinion on their side.I read these forums every day but these guys act like they own the game.I decided to let them know they don’t.-1 -

Why should I care? You said it yourself it only is an issue at the “top level”.How many of those are free to play? Only a few i will bet. This is because you turned over all your “research” and the devs came to different conclusion. Now you expect someone who plays for fun to pick up a chant so a bunch of entitled players can get back their rightful placement.I play this game every day and I pay $9.99 every 28 days because of that.Only you who are in the Sale Buy alliance care about this.-1

Once again, no "elitism" none of the stuff you keep saying trying to trigger people - its just a desire that D3 enforce the rules as published.0 -
Easy fix:
Make two brackets (or SCL11) where in one speed is unlimited. Everyone who wants it goes there, everyone who wants to take a nap while fighting kindless ones stays where they are. Best of both worlds.
I would love to play at 300% the speed. I find the slowness of the game a bad experience.

A ) The developers are aware of these speed hacks, do not consider it cheating and have ruled it “fair play” (as you say) since nothing has been done. And thus, we should be able to discuss it on the forums. If it’s a normal part of the game and not considered cheating, it should be open for discussion and no one should be banned.
or
B ) It is in fact considered cheating. In which case, just like in any game like this, those who are cheating should be banned from the game. Which is the stance the majority of players you are opposing are taking. So I’ll make it really simple for you and ask, which one is it, A or B?19 -

This is an issue for the way the game structure is set up for winning at PVE. One of the best PVE players has spent very little but darn good.Again, if you don’t care, that’s fine. You do you, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is an issue and the player base will keep bringing this up until this is resolved.1

Your entire position is based on a seriously flawed point. When I look at t10/t20 and above I see myself in the leaderboards.
I have spent zero in 2200 days. Never been VIP. Never participated in a buy club. Finished t10 5.10 last PvP, t10 5.10 current pve & I got t2 5.10 in that brutal mindless ones pve. Sometimes I finish t50/t100 if I'm busy. Mostly t10/t20.
Your position also then is people who don't spend money, but have spent time playing the game should also just shutup and take it because we can finish at the top of the leaderboard?
There are actually many players who spent zero to very little in the leaderboards. I do not expect you to acknowledge or admit to your flawed point here publicly. Have a great day!

Really can’t do anything but laugh at this point. What exactly is YOUR point? Why are you participating so adamantly in this thread? Why are you virtue signaling as if your level of spending is noble and acceptable but that of a whale is somehow worthy of being vilified? You have a lot of interest in the affairs of other people. Here is one for you. Hypothetically, player A spends 10k a year or more on MPQ. You, player B spend $120 on MPQ yearly.Who do you think they would rather quit?
They need to cater to clientele that will drop dollars. The same as any business. The model affords the opportunity of those who can’t afford or don’t want to spend like that can still enjoy the game. Best of both worlds due to trickle down economics. Get it?3 -
I did acknowledge that in a response above.
How many of those are free to play? Only few I’ll bet.
Thank you for confirming that statement.[redacted]You have a blessed day too!

How many $10k players are there. 100 starks per year?
Let’s go with 20?
How many players at the lower levels spend more on a daily basis? That all adds up too. Keep the masses happy and your cash flow remains consistent.
Cater to the elite buyers who will eventually get tired and leave anyway easy decision.

Spending more time on reading comprehension will take you further than being good at a match-3 game. You have a blessed day too!
Just cause your good at trolling doesn't make your assumptions correct. You rage like this at everyone who has "nicer" things than you by working or spending for it?0 -
Prince_Raoul said:This is where every pay to win player ends up, acting superior because they spend money on virtual goods.Bravo! Slow golf clap, take a bow!
I respect the decisions of all players to make their own financial choices. No need to make it an us/them situation...that’s small minded.
Again, what are you actually arguing for?
Where are these masses? Because from where I’m sitting, it looks like you’re alone chief.1 -
You think this forum is representative of the player population of MPQ?
Is any forum of any game?
I did answer you question catering to 20 or so big spenders or hundreds of thousands smaller players is a no-brainer. One which the devs have seem to come to despite how much you want it to be different.-1 -
Can we have an official word on the ban? Just exposing the exploit? If it’s justification is more than that, it would be a good look to let us know that.0
-
Imagine making a new account on a game's forum and posting over 20 times to argue you personally don't take the game THAT seriously, and as such any concerns about the fairness of competition are just invalid.
Totally, definitely, completely not seriously enough to make a new forum account and post about it 20 times.

I would assume the reason these threads get removed (and likely the same for any ramifications against users in these threads) is because they're full of insults, name calling, and finger pointing, and really don't need to exist in the first place.
If there's a problem, report it. This thread doesn't help in that process, it doesn't help in gathering evidence (which would be against the rules on the forums anyways for identifying individual players), and it doesn't help in reaching a solution (because that's all on the devs).
All it is really doing is riling people up and causing fights. This thread is no different (even down to the petty "abuse the Flag button to attack someone you don't like" tactic; if it isn't something like literal spam that the userbase can suppress because it is universally bad, don't waste time on hitting Spam/Abuse, use the actual Report feature and explain why, because that one is far more useful to mods).
And given that it keeps happening, with the same people, I'd wager most know better by now and keep doing it anyways.2
