Hi Everyone,

Captain Marvel is soaring into Marvel Puzzle Quest today, and we're playing wingman to taxi her smooth landing into the game! We've got a whole plethora of high-flying activities and content coming up, and we'll be gradually updating this rolling document as we approach them. Check out all the details below!

Game UI Update
It's not just 2 and 3-Star Captain Marvel that are getting an update. Various elements of the game's user interface and display will be getting a fresh coat of Captain Marvel-inspired paint to go alongside the celebration as well!

    New 5* Carol, new covers for the rest, freebie 3* Carol, 3* Carol in a boss event and the following story event AND her own versus event (loads more 3* Carol covers), War Machine versus for grins and giggles (makes sense based on the comics, but obviously we'll be curious why 4* Carol wasn't picked instead), and a 4* Carol Crash.

    I see the Captain Marvel logo in the background, nice and shiny.

    I assume the Carol and Fury "buffs" are just like, being added to the boosted list? Normally we (forumites) would associate "buff" with something like a rework, a more permanent change.

    Could we get before/after images on the new artwork? I can't see the differences in 2* Captain Marvel at all. (I'd like to see more artwork for character releases in general, since they used to show most of it in the Marvel.com articles, which they don't really do regularly anymore)

    All-in-all, good stuff. I like these little celebrations, even if they're mostly made up of stuff we'd already be getting (we'd be having versus events and characters in progression/placement rewards anyway), just made up of characters related to the celebration. Bonus stuff like new covers and artwork is just like extra icing (an HP sale on top of a new character is super awesome).

    Only thing it's missing is a Feeder update, but it's a little early to give a feeder to Carol, and there's not really a good candidate to fit thematically. Maybe we can knock out Hulk/Strange during a celebration for Endgame? (in other words, "hint hint don't drop the ball, it's practically a slow pitch and there's no excuse not to knock it out of the park")

    Yup that's correct! They're going to be part of the boosted list for that entire duration. We just officially call it Buffs, that's all :p

    I'll see if I can track down some before and after pictures, but the rework was mostly in the facial features; subtle at a glance, but apparent if you really zero in on her face.

    As far as I could tell, the difference is just the "eye shadow" or "eye bags" depending on who we ask.
    Her chin seems less pointed now, and her mouth seems a bit more... natural? Or just less red. I think her hair doesnt cover her second eye as much either.

    Not sure about the chin, could be due to the shadow/shading. But, you're right about the lips (lack of/ different lipstick).
    Just edited the post after a second look. I think the eye area looks a little clearer too.

    Um, without wishing to seem ungrateful, is that it? Is there a Week 3 that isn't listed yet, @Brigby ? Was hoping for a new PvE, rather than another running of an old one with a Carol as required character.

    Absolutely nowhere does this say, that this would be an alliance event. Given we have one now, i doubt we'll get another, two weekends in a row...

    The 'team up with' bit i think is like, team up with dr strange against kaecilius in strange sights... and refers to the story. Which a lot of you might not read anyway.

    Funny. But they are staying boosted for almost a month so you will get a few opportunities to make use of them.
