Disappointed in the Fan Favourite store.
I had a champed JJ and Strange at 2/2/5 and OML at 5/5/2 so I gave it a try a spent my hoard of 900 cp.... got 2 yellow and 1 blue Strange ( now at 3/2/7) and a black OML(now at 6/5/2)...no JJ
Happy Anniversary? Not for me. After 4 years of playing I should have known  :(

40 Pack 5th Anniversary vault results:

1 - Fan Favorite Token (Got 5* JJ)

    6 - Devil Dino

    6 - 4*

    9 - 3*

    11 - 2*

    Iso-8 - 23,500

Not bad at all. was saving my HP for this vault and it did not disappoint.

I fired open a 40 pack on the anniversary vault too and 3 Dino covers means I can finally champ him after all these years. Pleased for that.

Not going near that Fans Favourite store though considering my luck at drawing OML covers.

If you reset the vault do you get new random 4s?  My random 4s aren't helpful at all.

Damn my Anniversary vault sucks hard. The only good thing is that I spent 2800 for a 10 pack and the very first thing that I got was 2900 hp. So basically a free Spider Woman, a few 3s and the rest were 2s. Yaaay?

Then I decided to spend all of my cp to try and get one black Okoye as well as get some covers for Dazzler. Well, I actually got a ton of Dazzler covers and was able to champ her. As for Okoye my 0-2-0 Okoye is now 0-4-1. Like seriously? And with my growing boredom of the game I don't think that I'll be playing long enough to get nine more Shuri covers especially considering that with spending 900+ cp and 30-35 legendary tokens I got very few bonus heroes from that.

Nine Dazzler covers. I got nine of them in this haul. Like what the hell.

You do actually get different 4*'s. Everything changes but the Fan Favorites Token, ISO, Red ISO, HP, Devil Dino, and Howard. Although it is random so you might get at least 1 of the same 4*'s again. Good luck.

After the daily deal a 1x pull from the 5th Anniversary Vault is 500 HP instead of the usual 400 HP? I mean, I wasn't going to spend the HP on that either way, but dang if that doesn't set a tone.

EDIT: I might just be grumpy this morning, because Double-ISO on an already ISO-generous Strange Sights also sets a tone.

EDIT 2: Oh, and there's three Fan Favorites LTs in the vault, I'm just somehow noticing. Yeah, I was just grumpy.

Totally serious.  Maybe my point is lost.  Here is my point : how is this an Anniversary Event?  It's just SOP.  What is so freaking anniversary about it?  I have no idea how long you or others have played but I have been here for every anniversary and they used to be something special.

    This is absolutely not special.
This will be my third anniversary. What special thing do your remember beyond what we’re getting?  Typically it’s:
    - A big vault with limited character and lots of rewards (check)
    - A special PvP season with limited anniversary events (check)
    - All the events give tokens for the special vault (check)
    - Occasionally a character that’s limited or has an extremely unique move set (double check)
    - Double ISO (check)
    - Fan favorites vault was new last year (check)
    - Login bonuses (check)
    - HP / ISO deals (check)

That’s pretty much it from my memory. What are you thinking of?  They have all this plus a new feature which, other than championing during the second anniversary, I don’t recall happening during anniversaries.

I am softening up to the anniversary, if only a little bit.  You make decent points, but Lava isn't exactly wrong either.

Have we gotten vaults for other things this year?  Yup.  How or why is this special?

Pvp is pvp is pvp.  How different is this from any other season?  It's only unique because of who it uses.  To each there own, but we also lost out on a short season because of how the anniversary lands.  Imo, any "extra" rewards from the anniversary season have to be mitigated against what was "lost" by not having a regular or short season.  It's only fair.

All events give tokens to the special vault.  Again, we have seen this already, so it isn't really special.

Limited character is good?  I'll leave this one for the debate over in the post about Taskmaster.  (Ok, i can't leave it 100% alone.  If he is available a few times a year like Howard, i can live with it.  If relegated to Dino status, it sucks)

Double iso.  Always great, but again, not special.

Fan vault.  Considering dilution is so terrible, i applaud any opportunity fir people to get better odd for better characters.  A real anniversary gift would be to break apart Latest and Classic even more, to help out the players trying to grow their rosters at their discretion, rather than dictated by RNG.  More concise, there will be plenty of people pulling from this vault, and by their own metric, almost half of the pulls will be people deemed "not favorite."  How is that special?

Login bonuses.  I got one for it being Taco day.  I get one for Free Comic Book Day.  Nice, yes, but not new or special.

Hp/iso deals.  Again, its nice and appreciated, but happen fairly regularly.

    TL:DR

It's nice and decent, but not exactly what i would expect for a 5th year anniversary, personally.  I will hold out hope, but this is more like my kids report card.  He brings home B's all year long, and i am happy.  Then, on the final exam, he gets a B.  I'm happy, but not surprised or overwhelmed.

Based on what we have available to us right now, you are absolutely right. I'm waiting to see how generous they are with Come and Get Me (will 5* Cable or a special LT featuring 5* Cable be a reward?) and what the Places of Power alliance raid event ends up being. This could be something substantial, new, and great, or it could be like the very boring lightning rounds they released around 'Thor: Ragnarok.' There is also more to be announced. Personally, I have my fingers crossed for a new feature. Not like 'Supports,' but hopefully something related to the champ rewards system (which has been hinted at and rumored for months — it could just be rumors, or it could be a godsend, and I say that without anything even close to specifics or assurance. I just know I'm tired of selling 3* covers for every character I have max-champed.)

Actually, in the very first Anniversary, which was the only decent Anniversary Celebration.  We got flooded with with tokens that had EXTREMLY good devil dino drop rates.  (even 2*/3* rosters were champing dino in one anniversary season. and  don't forget this was before coverbank,  so you had to build your dino based on acquring covers.

plus we had 20man lr giving out the same prize structure as the normal LRs

That first celebration had prizes that made a difference even to the people who were veteran whales back in Year 1.

Even in this celebration,  everyone got stiffed out of the short season 10packs and cp.  They are handing out decent amount of daily tokens now, but we the players already paid for them by giving up the short season prizes.

The celebrations have definitely gotten worse over time.

Lets see how the new alliance event plays out. If its fantastic, then it could end up being the best anniversary yet.

5* Taskmaster Sword support in SCL 9 for top 1. The rarity goes down with each lower SCL until it hits SCL 6 (Rank 2).

*Waiting for complaints to roll in about how it should be made available to top 50 or top 100 instead, or made available as progression rewards*

Rank 1 perks seems to stack with Rank 3 perks against Heroes. But there aren't many opportunities to fight against heroes. It could be extra useful in at least three PvE? Ghost Rider last sub, Simulator, Shield Training and Deadpool's PvE.

It takes 1400 points to reach the last rewards in Simulator instead of the usual 2000.  The no of wins required has been decreased from 75 to 52 as well. Yeah!

Its takes less points and wins to reach max progression in the Simulator and the Season rewards, because it's a shorter season. It will be back to normal next season.

It would be cool if seasons were shorter. 2 seasons per month.

Okay, I'll bite. uhm but did you mean complain about T1 prizes or how garbage this support is?

It's the sneak buff (back) to gambit: it makes aces hit harder and fortifies his repeater. Don't call it a comeback! or you know for when those T1 SCL9 players with maxxed 5*'s bring along their 4* LIMITED character that fires 3* powers.

Those perks are common perks that are not unique to Taskmaster Sword Support. You can find these perks in other supports. I don't get how you can link this to a sneak buff to Gambit. Given your reasonings, a lot of supports can be linked to a sneak buff to Gambit. You might as well say that Chimichanga was a premonition to how Gambit will be nerfed because it helps Gambit to gain more red and purple ap while fortifying his repeater tiles.

Besides, this support can be equipped to any character in the game, not just Taskmaster alone. Of course, there complains about how weak the damages are to a five star character. I suppose supports are supposed to boost another 10 to 20k of damage instead of 2k or so damage.

Am i only one that would have prefered the usual LT in DDQ Crash instead of the FanFavourites Token? (Or ideally, an added node or whole Thanos daily at the side...)

No complaints here.  The fewer people get supports the less cleanup they'll have to do when they finally decide they made a mistake and take them out of the game.

I highly doubt you're the only one, but I'm personally happy it's Fan Favorite.

I've been doing alright on the 2 Fan Fav tokens I've scored: got a black JJ from the one i got out of the vault and the Devil-D token got me a 10th cover for Iron Spider
