sigh and not having the ability to tank down to 1 star rosters means I've not been able to get rid of the low level retaliations for this OBW tournament.

i was shocked to see level 85 teams. normally i pull 3x 141s right out of the gate. but this time i got up to 620 (before boredom set in) only hitting 85 thor/obw/ares, and a couple level 100ish LTs.

Had just unshielded. It's amazing how fast they see you once you unshield now. I was at 833, wanted to do a few quick matches to get past 900. Did one for 35, hit for 37, another for 30, hit for 35. Then this player hits, but his point value is too low, so I don't retal. Go into another match, come out and told same player hit again. Then again while selecting another match. Retal him, come out...He hit again. ****. Hit him again, won, and re shielded at 907.

It used to be a 15mn window before other ppl saw you after you unshielded.. Now you seem to be in their queue at once.. And often people not worthy of retals.. Today i unshield just to be hit for 50, 46, and 39 pts.. Retals worthy of 1-5 pts.. ****!!!!

From my experience (I might have wrong assumptions though) - I think there is a bit of a difference between unshielding and losing shield after 3/8/24hrs. When I'm shield jumping, I usually wait till the shield ends.

Just as I think I'm making progress towards 900....

Got nailed for 65pts during 1 match to drop me back down to 839!

Shields back up...at least it's the blue Doom I need as I don't have one rather than the black. I should be able to get both with that score if recent history holds though, Falcon's notwithstanding.

I think you are right actually. I think breaking the shield jars you back in rotation faster, but not sure obviously. Speaking of which, they really need a button to turn off shield instead of having to match to break it. I mean, for those times you might want to exchange shields for another longer/shorter one.

My shield had ended, i didn't start a match until it was over. But what was really odd was how that same guy kept being able to hit me that fast, back to back. It wound up hitting me a total a 7 times, first 3 we none retals, then i retailed and won, he hit me during that match, i retaliated again, won and shielded.

Then after i shielded, he hit at least 2 more times, one obviously off my retal. But how did i keep coming up in this guy's nodes again and again? I mean, the 900 some odd points I had were best in my bracket, but obviously not as high as other players out there. Just seems odd.

But, other than him...quite a few others hit the shield too, most retals, but at least two non retals an hour or two later, including davecazz of shield. So, guessing our shielded states do stay in nodes, at least for some people. Looks like they were getting some nice 35, 39, 41 points off me.

my 3 hour shield had just ended, did another match, then shielded for the day for now. So, shields up captain, fire at will if you see me.

Forgot to mention. Like in the last pun pvp, I played some of the better half's mpq in GoL tonight too. She does not have any 85's, highest are mThor and OBW, both at 60.

It was interesting. Different experience, sort of. Thought it was interesting and wanted to share what happened.

I started, low point nodes, no seed teams. Went along, did match after match, passed 200, about the same, 300, about the same, 400, about the same. What I meant, most nodes showed matches of teams in the 40/50/60 range, and the rare 70.

I crossed 500, things started getting interesting. Just like what happened to point values after I passed 900, same happened after I passed 500 on her game. Most nodes were 15-19 points. Had to burn through several of those to get past them. Then a few more 20-25 point nodes.

Then finally got over 600, came out and had lost what I won times 2 basically. Managed to get back up to 600, got the progression, did a match, had gotten hit again. This time from a 141 team. Checked the nodes and cycled them all. EVERY ONE OF them had 141 teams in them.

Obviously, using her team, without even an 85 leveled character, I had zero chance against those odds, so shielded her up and gave up.

Just thought it was very odd how it just all of a sudden appeared like that. Similar to how I see the same type of thing past 850 or so, she got past 550. So, her threshold is definitely different than mine, and most of ours on the forum. But hers basically means she really can't go beyond 550 in a pvp most likely.

She's a newer player, lower leveled characters, so it's just interesting to see what they see in game.

Got up to 1000 without retaliations, then at 1000 got hit for 80, so I crawled back up to 1049 using Spidey since everyone else was running him and called it a tourney.

Same here, I'm pretty sure that I already fought some of my currently shown teams in nodes.
It's essentially a flaw of the game: even if there is hundreds of different players, the game keeps proposing you the same players to fight. And I speak about accepted fights not skipped ones (I can understand that after a given number of successive skipped fights, you are forced to pick one)
